Sorry I have not posted for so long. We packed up our home all ready to move to New York when we got back from the cruise. Well I thought DH would be finishing work on Friday for the cruise. It now seems he has quit and will be finishing work Thursday for good. Guess I should make a start unpacking the house.

We have extended our trip to have 11 nights at WDW (as DH is now officially in-between jobs ). The kids don't know yet, we intend to surprize them on the way back from the cruise.

There goes the kids college fund.

We fly Friday, I am so0000 excited

Don't know if you have seen the Siera Mist comercial with the guy going through security but somehow I can see you and the buttertarts having the same problem. If they put the rubber gloove on, RUN.

Am trying to work my schedual so I will be home Friday to finish packing. We are going into stay close to the Columbus airport on Friday nite as we have a 7:15AM flight to Orlando.

PIT - Hope you guys are headed home by now. (how's the finger.)

Why do I need a grass skirt - 'cause no, I don 't have one

For the roster, it's Doug & Bekki. I'd like to think of us as DCL Cruise veterans. I think is cruise 11 for us.

Maybe you could improvise the grass skirt - tear up your navigators into thin strips and tuck into dis board thong.

I haven't traveled in awhile and I am not really up on all the latest devices...

Are there any issues with taking things such as laptops, portable dvd players, digital cameras (xD picture cards, lithium batteries, etc), camcorders Hi-8, and their corresponding media through the latest scanners etc if they are carried onto the plane?

Just that you're supposed to be limited to one carry on AND a personal item. That could be a single camera bag, or computer bag, purse, backpack, wheel barrow, burro with saddle bags, etc.. So - everything has to go on the X-ray conveyor belt. And computers, and all pocket contents have to be on the conveyor belt in plastic bins. Computers alone. Shoes off. etc.. I think there is a TSA list of prohibited items somewhere.

AND... of course... no joking while in line or on the plane. ANy joking is taken seriously and they can fine you for joking about terrorism or explosive devices, threats, etc..

Oh man - I am so jealous of you at the food and wine festival. Would have loved to come this year but cruise and Christina have decided differently. I'll just have to live vicariously through all of you - so keep on posting here post cruise!!! I wonder if the wine can make it through the internet...

Okay, with all you people already on vacation or finishing up "one more day" or heading to the airport tomorrow; I need moral support. Is there anyone else out there like me that has to put in a full work week -- I have to be in the office until 6pm on Friday! (And time is creeping by because it is slow here.)

Looks like a 60 hour week for me. Divisional Manager called and said he is flying in on Thursday for an internal audit. This happens twice a year and he had to pick this week. Takes time to hide all that stuff that usually gets placed in the "to do some day in the future" pile.

Oh well, it will make the time pass quicker.
