....I also did carpets today and lots of other cleaning, soo much done this weekend it is a blur, finished up last night at about 11:00 PM and hit it today at 6:00 AM. My shoulder has had all the washing, “Wax On/Wax Off” kinda motion it can handle.
Here, I was feeling bad about just doing the carpets. Finally, my brother calls and saves me. They wanted to meet for dinner. The grass will have to wait 'til tuesday. :thumbsup2

I think I may some of those too. Maps also. Never know when those might come in handy. :lmao:

Hey Scott, heard a song today-"Morris' Nightmare". Have you heard it?

Just got back from my 20 year high school reunion in the Napa Valley. It was fun and quite interesting . . . . . .

Tend to forget the heat while away, it was a shock getting of the plane to 110 degrees again. Summer arrived in Arizona a few weeks ago. With it being this hot so soon, they are saying we may easily see 120 degrees this summer!

Someone asked about having a four year old. Our daughter Kayla will be turning four September 10th.

Have a question about lodging on the 16th. We will be with a group of 11. Which would be better - on site at WDW, Hyatt at MCO, or the Radisson? We are really leaning toward the Radisson but question the logistics of getting all of us there. We all will be staying at the BCV after the cruise for three nights, so staying on site isn't really all that important. Really just looking for the easiest as far as travel is concerned and what will also be fun for 7 children (ages 12 to 1). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I bet returning to the heat was a shock!! Was it foggy in Napa? I can not believe how fast the temp changed around here. I saw the fog roll in and hang over the mountains. Fortunately we stayed clear in Concord but boy is it windy.

The party place to be is at the Radisson. As to logistics...rent a van and tie the kids to the roof. At least that is what I am always threatening Heather. (She's not scared.) Seriously - I would suggest a limo service...and then arrange with the Radisson to get you to the ship. Just a thought.

Well, it looks like good news on our end. We have two new employees, and will have them trained soon. So, here we come!!!

 :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

Congrats :woohoo: and now on to the party planning!

Well, we had a planning session / dinner with aphoenix tonight. Here are the excursions we've (Stephen and Vicki that is) decided to do on the cruise:

St. Thomas - SNUBA (booked thru www.shoretrips.com) : 10am
St Thomas - Tramway for lunch and shopping (who am I kidding, Tramway for Bailey's Bushwackers :lmao: )
St Lucia - Cosol tour with krdisneybound and others
Barbados - Best Island Tour of Barbados (booked thru www.shoretrips.com)
Antigua - Eli's Eco Tour
St Kitts - Rainforest Hike (booked with DCL)

Also, I was shopping today and picked up a little something for the first 4 Stitch lovers to send me a PM with your name and cabin number, but you have to really, really love Stitch :stitch: . I'll leave the item in your fish extender or in a bag attached to the fish outside the cabin once we are onboard. BTW, Kay (krdisneybound), I have you on the list already :thumbsup2

UPDATE: All 4 items have been spoken for. If I can find more before the cruise, I'll let everyone know. I've sent PM's to the 4 people who will receive a little 'surprise' onboard the Wonder.

Good Morning All!
Alberto cut our trip to the Keys a little short. We still managed to get several good dives in. The "Duane" with no current, :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: and a super night dive on the "Benwood" with a TON of current. No trip to my beloved "Spiegel" this time :sad1: Drove home through bands of much needed heavy rain. Considered following the local custom of :drinking1 when a storm comes in and you can't get out on the water but then we wouldn't have enough recovery :hourglass to :cheer2: and :drive:. We did stop at West Palm to do a little :boat: shopping  (Bob help!) Lamar is looking for a "good deal" :rotfl2:. Again, help! Ask him and he will deny it all. :lmao:
Lamar and I are going to dive the ports of call. (Surprise) :bitelip:

Hey Scott, heard a song today-"Morris' Nightmare". Have you heard it?

Yes , I have. Pretty Funny and many a bits of truth, hey you can always sleep when you get home. Why are we in this swamp. Is it to be on the new album???

WOW the Duane with no current, folks that is a rare thing, as well is current on the Benwood, Alberto have something to do with it???

I am starting to lean towards diving the ports o call. I know I will be ready to get wet and blow some bubbles by then as it looks like the summer will be consumed with packing and cleaning, and more packing and cleaning, I need a vacation already.

Might have a Nitrox class to teach for the NPS and USSS. That would be fun and generate some cash flow for Soggy Moose Diving. Currently doing a private Open Water class, with one student. :teacher:

What kind of good deal is Lamar looking for I might have one in the garage. :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Where can I hear this? :sail: Morris where are ya? You all are up on everything :cool1: I thought I knew my JB.

Power outage here from 9:30 am to 11:00 am for tree trimming. I'm glad they are doing it now. I guess the power company figures most people are at work :surfweb:.

Hi Everyone

I'm starting work on the name badges, so from time to time I might have a question about someone on the cruise list. One family is listed as "Black Scotties" - (Brad and Lynn).

Another does not have a disboard name - Michael, Kent, Sue and Charlie from Saint Louis and Mascoutah.

Does anyone know them? If so, please PM me.

Thanks
Ken

Cruise list - interesting question Ken. I took some time yesterday to enter the cruise list into Excel and sort it by cabin numbers (so I can distribute gifts once onboard in a more logical "path" than the list would take me) and there are many names with no dis names as well as folks listed with no cabin number. I could not quite figure out how to broach the subject but you have opened the door for me. I can't deliver a gift if I do not know cabin numbers. Is it a security issue (and if so, my security has been compromised because my cabin number is on the list)?

MommaluvsDis-so sorry to hear about the passing of Johnnie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Linda and Robert

Well, just got back from a weekend trip for niece's wedding to Boise (that would be in the state of Idaho) You know, the POTATO state! :rotfl2:

Anyway, got my most important task out of the way for this cruise.........pulled my mom's calendar off the wall to see what she had scheduled September 16-28. She didn't have anything, and I couldn't talk them into taking this cruise awhile back, so I told them I now needed a teenage-sitter to come watch DD (Jamie-14). So they are coming to house and keep track of the DD.

Okay, next on the list, business trip to Tampa this Wed, then home for a week and then take DD to New York for a leadership conference she is attending.

So, after July 5th, I am 100% committed to getting ready for this cruise!

Linda

P.S. For anyone with kids.....the pirate ship tour in St. Lucia is great fun. We did it when on the Magic for Christmas 2004. It was a blast!

Aren't lists fun. Many "GTY" room assignments won't be known until close to the cruise. Others don't feel right giving out their room numbers. My hardest job is making sure that the disboard names are correct when I put them on the name badge.

What it comes down to is if you want to participate in the room gifts, you need to make sure that your room number is listed on the cruise list. But, if you really don't want to participate, that's fine also. People are welcome to participate as much or as little as they like.

Ken

In case anybody is interested, the Jolly Roger pirate excurions is not available on the 11 day. Only the 10 day. :confused3 Oh well back to the drawing board.

Which island was that on? I can't tell them apart without a score card. ;)

I completely understand about the GTY rooms, and I also understand someone's hesitency in giving out their cabin number. So I guess that means I have done what I can.

Sorry Ken - It is for Barbados. I am stumped as to what to do there. So much to see and so much to do in so little time. Trying to make the decision that will be fun for Heather and yet interesting for me. I want to do it all!!!

Hi Everyone!!
I haven't been on the boards in a while :sad2: I missed y'all!! It's been a very busy/stressful month, we closed on a new condo in Pensacola Beach and we had lots of work getting it ready for rentals, but it's done and I'm back home!!

I missed the following signups:

2 Palo Brunch, Brian & Suzie

10 Pin request

I hope I have not missed any other "requests"

You are all so prepared with your excursions, I definitely need to do homework...need to get back in the swing of things!! I know most excursions are for 10 and older, are there any fun excursions for 8 and older that you could recommend, I'm sad about the "Jolly Pirate"

I am so sorry about Johnnie, my prayers are with you and your family, he was so young, it just brings tears to my eyes. :grouphug: I just lost another relative "Grandpa from Illinois" passed away almost 3 weeks ago. Our family now has lost 3 family members in 4 months, sometimes it is just unbearable, I just keep focusing on this cruise, the biggest thing in my life now for our family!!

I surprised my husband with this cruise, I was going to "give" it to him for Fathers Day, but since we have to have our excursions figured out by then I gave it to him for my Birthday a couple of weeks ago, he was shocked and happy!! I just need to get him in the grass skirt!!

It's great to be back :woohoo:

Have a great day everyone!! :)

I think this grass skirt / lanyard people thing is really going to take off.
