We went to Alaska and did the Land and cruise together. It was amazing. We went on Princess - Princess Dawn, as I remember. I definitely would do the land as well. Lots of great memories and pics. I'll try and get one or two posted on here. I'll have to scan them. I didn't have a digital when we went a few years ago. We liked Princess actually. It was very casual. We were always out on deck. We went in Sept. We WANTED to see the snow and boy did we. It was cold, but it was so different on the Alasks cruise - we were wrapped up in blankets, drinking a Hot toddy and watching for Whales, seals, otters, ice bergs, falling ice, etc. I do regret not going to Kodiak Island and seeing those bears. We did see bears but not Kodiak. If you have any particular questions, feel free to ask.

Okay, so where is the info. on how to post a picture on the site??? I know, I know, you've told this about a dozen times. But, let's make it a bakers dozen, okay?? :goodvibes
Thanks for the info! I had been looking at holland america but I'm a little skiddish about any other ship but DCL.
Was it cold the whole time in September? We are looking at Sept 2008 (anniversary  )
When I posted pics I loaded them onto photobucket and then got the URL code and pasted them onto your post. But mine turned out crappy and small :confused3 Maybe I'm not the person to ask. :sad2:

Cyndi...when you were loading your pictures in Photobucket...did you click to resize them or did you leave them as original size? I always leave mine as regular size....so they post like the ones I did tonight from Niagara Falls.

I'll make a deal with you dear, no pictures of you at the Mount Gay Rum Visitors Center once you've gotten snockered......no pictures of me at the onboard tequila tasting. Deal ??? (Paradise Point Bushwackers are NOT included in this deal)

Speaking of Paradise Point.... :rotfl2: My DH and DS are going to be going on the Sub excursion and I am planning on just doing the Paradise Point run and shopping - wondering if anyone else was going to heading up there in the AM on St. Thomas???

Just wondering.

Man.. I gotta go back to Cabo just to go to that place. I'd hang...esp after a round of rainbow shots!

What place is that Leslie?

I only ask because Harry and I are possibly going to be in Cabo for Christmas and New Years Day. And the week between them of course. :goodvibes

And yes, I know I've been gone forever from this thread and I apologize. I will give my reasons (excuses?) in a subsequent post.

They automatically resized :confused3 Where is the option to leave them normal? Dh wants to take a pic of our truck after it's bath tomorrow so it'll be nice and shiny for ya'll. I love your pics of the falls.

Oh, and to the (ahem) gentleman doing the shots, I'd like to shake your hand because if I drank that many shots I would be dancing on the tables!    Man, that's a lot of shots! Did you share?

This works too....
go to the "cruise meets" main page.
on the far left hand side you will see icons
thread_dot_hot_new.gif
for each meet's thread
as you move your mouse over that icon, it will tell you how many posts you have on that thread.

I have 675 here and 661 on the 14daywestbound

Okay....

I'm goin' for it!!! And, OMGoodness I got it!!! :cool1: :wizard: pirate: :rolleyes1 :dance3: :bounce: :joker: :cool1: :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay:

pixiedust: :beach:

Okay, Tigger, Crash - I know this will be the one and only..... :bitelip: Maybe...

Okay everybody get out a glass of Rosa Regale.. you're gonna need it just to read this list......

There were 10 different kinds of cake. Let me see
*Strawberry cake with white chocolate truffle and fresh strawberries
*Chocolate Kahlua cake with chocolate Kahlua truffle
*Chocolate Chili mousse cake - dark chocolate cake infused with rum and filled with 3 layers of chili truffle and mousse.
*Dulce De Leche - golden vanilla cake with 3 layers of caramel
*Southern Bourbon Pecan with caramel truffle
*Butter Rum with rum custard
*Chocolate Decadence - white chocolate cake marbled with dark chocolate/infused with white chocolate Godiva liqueur and 3 layers of chocolate mousse, topped with chocolate ganache topping.
*White Chocolate Cake with white chocolate truffle and fresh raspberries
*Key Lime Cake with key lime custard
*Chocolate almond Marble Cake with Chocolate amaretto truffle

I only can recite this because they gave us the list.....:rotfl: The one in green is what we think they are going to go with... at least for part of the cake. Each tier can be different. They want the top (the keeper one) to be the Key Lime. But it's not for everyone.

Okay I think I just gained 5 pounds listing those........:teeth:
