We leave tomorrow on our 10-night Holland America cruise of the Mexican Riviera/Sea of Cortez. I'll check in when we return.

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

Have a good time Woody!!! :thumbsup2

Have a great time Woody!
Thanks!

We will embark at the Port of San Diego. I'm beginning to see the advantages many Florida residents have with Disney cruises. We booked less than a month ago, got a deep discount, and don't have to fly to the port. We even got an upgraded cabin -- yet the cruise is sold out.

But sadly, we found ourselves leaving things behind in our cruise box -- door signs, fish extender, pirate gear, glow sticks, Mardi Gras beads, lanyards, green wrist bands, and pins for trading. Surprisingly, Mrs. Woody was able to pack all her things for this cruise in a carry-on roller bag.

I'll check in when we return.

Hello future cruise friends. DH and I are booked on this cruise and I for one CANNOT WAIT! We have cruised the eastern carribean once before (several years ago) and have already been to Tortola. We took the trip to Virgin Gorda and the Baths which not to be corny, was one of the best days of my life. This was my first time snorkling and it was amazingly beautiful, saw all kinds of things including a sea turtle.

I am really looking forward to CC as my favourite thing is reading a book on the beach then floating in that gorgeous blue-green water.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you before/during our trip.

Susie (and DH Sean)

WELCOME!
We have some posts of photos and info about ourselves on page 171. I will add you to them if you PM me the info or post it here. When I add people I will move the lists forward also.

MANDY, I wouldn't mind a taste of these. And it's safe to send chocolate to Arizona now...:rolleyes1 Isn't there some American treat you would like in exchange?
Sister, those are NOT on the food plan!!!!!:confused3
WOODY, we'll be very interested in your views on the other ships. ::yes::

Morning Tortollians! This weekend I plan to pull together some more photos to send off to brother and sister. Think I'm going to do the terminal and embarkation day stuff. Fortunately there were recently a batch of terminal photos on the picture-of-the-day thread, so I may not have to search too hard. Don't think I'll enclude the embarkation photo of Peg and I with our ex-sister-in-law though...brother's fiance doesn't like to be reminded of her existance :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Just kidding (sorta).

.
That's funny and TRUE! Did you know Jill's bday was yesterday? I phoned and sent an e card will be interested to see if it's responded too, STILL haven't heard back from her on any of my emails...

Hey all! I haven't even thought about our cruise in weeks... guess life has me by the "@*&#$" - is everyone ready for Christmas?
I did purchase my sisters gift and my DH's. So I'm doing good in that department. However, the ligths, tree etc ARE STILL NOT UP!!!!! ARRRGHHHH

Called in sick today though, wonder if any of that will get done????:surfweb:

Thanks!

Woody... I needed to laugh... Thanks...

Hope everyone is getting all organized for the holidays!

Today I'm playing with $$ numbers, comparing adding on WDW days before this trip *OR* booking the 12/19 Western following!

Five nights POFQ with 4 day hopper and dining plan solo: $1325
Same deal w/two people $1813 = $906 per person

Six nights POFQ w/5 day hopper and dining plan 2 people $2067=$1032 per person

Cat 11 for 12/19 solo $1523
Cat 11 for two $1937 =$968 per person
(no transfers, no insurance)

I've never done the 'regular' Western itinerary (no Key West or Grand Caymon), so there would be new ports to see.

I could also consider fewer days at WDW, butI like having a longer visit cause I'm slowing down and need more time to see all I want! :lmao:

There's also the option of using some of my Shell Vacation points and staying at Celebration World Resort (just a few minute drive from AK) and renting a car, which would save some bucks and provide the means to eat off property occasionally (AND provide transportation to the port!).

THEN....there's the sceanario with DVC friends..........;) :rolleyes1

Lots to consider Jackie--have fun planning :thumbsup2:

Greetings Ontariomonkey :yay:
I grew up in upstate New York, have canoed through the Rideau Route and been to Ottawa--anywhere near you?

OH DUH....and I won't be doing it here either....my team-mate has that week off! :headache:

Well, for just the use of 3 more vacation days, I can have the week BEFORE and play at WDW .... ifn I want.

I can't keep up with this thread!

DBF and I were at WDW for a week and I'm so behind. I'll catch up later.

Welcome to our new sailmates! :cheer2:

Well at WDW, DBF is now DF because we got engaged! He did it at the Plaza Rose Garden next to Cinderella Castle (where you take PhotoPass pics) so it looks like this cruise might end up being our honeymoon or Disneymoon cruise! Its either that or we push this cruise back and I really don't want to do that. Too much planning ahead! :headache:
