....will somebody please come by and drag me out of the house to go test drive the Tucson? It's hot out there and getting hotter!

.

Hello everyone!

I thought I'd pop over and say hi.

Sukie and I are booked for this cruise, having rebooked while on board the WB Panama cruise.

Welcome aboard Tortoly, Ian. :sail:

(We talk like Crush sometimes over here.)

We have some lists on Page 1 of sites to see, list of cruisers with info about them and a photo site.

If you want to share a photo, post it and I will move it.

If you want to share stateroom number, etc as per post one, either send a PM to Steve (SNicksed) of post one and he will add it or post it and he will add it when he finds the post.

If you get food ideas or drink ideas or other ideas, post them and they may be moved to the appropriate list. It there is no list, make one. If they don't make it to an appropriate list, remind someone. ::yes::

Wheew-- :faint:

Thanks Jan!

1. We are in cabin 7629

2. Of course I'll be organizing another "Shots Around the Ship!"

3. Here we are (though we may decide to dress a bit more formally for the September cruise):

Jackie - admit it, you love us to bits!

I readilly confess that I do! :grouphug:

Test drove the Tucson...loved it. Like it better than the bigger Rav4. (interesting the wheel base is only one inch different though) I think the great warranty and the super adjustable lumbar support will be the deal maker here. I love the idea that the warranty will last twice as long as it takes to pay for the car. :thumbsup2

I love that photo, but am so glad you will be more formal for this cruise!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hello all,

Looking forward to joining you all on the cruise. I am very surprised to see so many people already signed up for this trip and it's over a year out. O well just more people to meet.

My wife and i will be celebrating our 10th anniversary and we bring the little ones with us (i don't think they will forgive us if don't)

Looking forward to our first cruise
Greg, Shelley, Timi, and Grace

Shots around the ship--talk it up and start a list!

Jan :earsgirl:

Marilyn, Donna, do we need to get an "Old Geezers Cookie and Milk at Cove Cafe" list going?

Jan :earsgirl:

Absolutely!:thumbsup2 Harry and I are in!:woohoo:

Donna:goodvibes

Donna :flower3: Do you want to be the list keeper for this one?

You would be able to explain the EVENT and REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION to any who have questions since you actually WERE THERE :thumbsup2 and I was not.

You could keep a running list :teacher: of people or just mention the event from time to time depending on the nature of the gatherings, whatever you think best.

I'll do it, but you do realize who you are asking don't you? I was only there for about five minutes because we all wanted to go see John Charles in Rock n' Bar D. I was also the one who suggested having the Old Geezer's Meet at the same time as Shots Around the Ship. In my defense though, I thought that Ian and Sukie were youngun's and we OG's could do our thing while the youngun's did theirs.:confused3

Anyway this will be handled like the "beer boys" from our last cruise. No lists, no rules and no special clothing requirements. Now that's easy...nothing for us OG's to remember except when and where to meet. And the GIT's (geezers in training) can help us OG's with that.:goodvibes

I was thinking that 2:00pm on sea days might work out better than evenings. We could meet at Cove Cafe after lunch for our afternoon naps. Then we will be refreshed for the evening and be able to stay up past our bedtimes to enjoy the entertainment. We could lounge around Cove Cafe or hit the hot tubs or pool.

For those new to this Old Geezers are over age 55. The Geezers in Training are between ages 50 and 55. It is the GIT's job to watch over the OG's in case we become forgetful. Of course, even youngun's are welcome if they would like to observe the GIT's and OG's so they can become well prepared for their future OG years.

If anyone has a different idea about when and where to meet I am open to suggestions. I just thought that afternoons might be better so as not to interfere with evening entertainment or Shots Around the Ship(which should also be very entertaining seeing who's in charge of that!:rotfl2: )

Sounds like a very good plan. :thumbsup2 Maybe what we need to do is to get some of these things set as to time and place and then posted on page one--post one. Post one could then become a mini-navigator that each DISer could print out and have for reference on the ship.:confused3 It would not be as fancy as Linda's for the Panama Canal DISers but unless she shows up or someone equally committed, I am good with a print out of post one.

You are welcome. We are looking very forward to this cruise also. Our first verandah stateroom. I am keeping it a secret. DW and DS have no idea. ;)
