September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 3

hahaha!!! Are you stalking us?????? Are you also going on the Westbound Trans Atlantic next year, cuz we are doing that too!

Hey, we booked this one first! OK, "mutual" stalking then....

Oh, I wish on the Western Trans Atlantic. If we could only convince our bosses they would need us. But a cruise that time of year when we're both in higher ed wouldn't neccessarily work well.....

****BREAKING NEWS*********

Southwest Airlines adds an 'Early Bird Checkin" option for $10

http://www.southwest.com/flight/early-bird-faq.html?int=HOMEWNEW01CHECKN090902

I'd do it just to guarantee overhead compartment availability!!

Thanks for the head's up! I hadn't heard about this until I read your post. Worth it for us not to have to hunker down in fornt of the PC at EXACTLY 24 hours prior to get a coveted "A" and low boarding number.

Now I won't have to head back to the ship from Castaway Cay to log in at 1:45!! WooHoo! More time at the bar on the beach point! :drinking1 The name of which I can NEVER remember.....possibly due to :drinking1

Thank you for the warm welcome... this is truly overwhelming... I don't think I can read all the posts for these 3 threads!!! Can someone re-cap for me?

 Welcome. I LOVE YOUR USER NAME! Bones is one of my top three Star Trek characters. :lovestruc

England, Henry and St George!

(sorry...past life recall....I was at Agincourt)

Your calendar has been revised to brunch on MONDAY at 10:30AM. (Though it might not say that on your reservations on the DCL web site)

Just checking in on my lunch break....hoping to leave work a little early to get those suitecases stuffed tonight. Of course, I thought of more shopping to do. Bubble warp for those bottles of Rosa Regale, more Airborne and Bonine, need enought to share with sister Dianne.

Monica, will e-mail flight times.

:upsidedow

Ummm....ever watch the movie Airplane? "...and then the dinosaurs came...." The recap would sort of follow that entire line of dialogue.

I think FishLip Extenders are being made...champagne and shots around the ship everyone walks on water and passes by geezers drinking coffee. Something about "for the glory of England" as we look for Ian passed out with a piece of chocolate cake and holding a grey goose and take pictures for a tabloid.

But I may be off on a few of these.......

That about sums it up! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Checking in while I eat my dinner...then the PACKING BEGINS!

Did a stop a Target on the way home for Airborne and bubble wrap...I'm good to go now.

Gold & Platinum level get the opportunity to book new itineraries and NEW SHIP a little earlier than general release.

MONICA....I think we have to do a 3 or 4 day cruise to get me to a Gold level....I don't want to wait till next September for #6. :lmao:

Keep your eye on the CClub section of the DCL website for more details!

Details to be announced on September 11th at 9:00 a.m. according to one of hte recent posts.

Jan, Harry has good days and bad days. Mostly he is very tired. He gets his next chemo treatment on Friday. We are hoping he feels decent for our trip. WDW might be a bit rough but I don't mind taking it slow. I also don't mind going off by myself for a bit if he doesn't feel up to it. The cruise will be relaxing. He is just hoping that he won't lose his appetite and be able to indulge. So far his appetite is very good. I am hoping he can put on a few pounds in case he doesn't feel like eating as much as treatment goes on. Sorry, I don't have a scanner to post a picture and wouldn't know how if I did.:confused3 I'm sure Harry wouldn't want me to post a picture anyway. He is still adjusting to the loss of hair.

How is Tom doing? I am so glad that we get to cruise together again. Won't be long now.:woohoo:

Donna

:surfweb: Rags,
I might be able to help out;

The Castaway Club tiers will take affect 9/12. So the Gold and Platinum members on our cruise should get special lanyards. :thumbsup2

Apparently there will be different colors for the three levels. I wonder if the silver level are different than the existing CC lanyards and are redesigned too????

Cruise suitcase packed. Now for the big one for WDW..........

We shall see. We will be on the Gold tier. I didn't ralize that it would go into effect that quickly. I'm excited! I',m also planning to book another cruise. Hope it is in effect!

Big suitcase is done (except for tomorrow's grooming aids). Decided which pair of sneakers to bring. Now I have to take a close look at my FOUR pairs of lime green Croc Athens, to see which are in the best shape.

Now probably the most difficult task...converting from my regular purse to my 'park purse' and backpack. :lmao:

The carry on had to change from a gym type tote to my small rolling carry on suitcase. It will be easier to lug around anyway and now, since I did the SW Air pre check in, I know there will be overhead space or it! :thumbsup2

I heard a rumor that my little sister had an AMAZING shopping expidition tonight.

.

A busy day and a very busy evening. Still under the gun at work, and all as of last Friday.

This evening spent getting our friend who is staying here to look after the dogs all comfy and settled in. I can believe that we leave on Friday!

I can believe it too....now that the suitcases are all zipped up!

MUST REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE WATER.

Sayeth is the word (most probably) and like Marilyn says, I'll be doing it for England... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

BTW I've just reminded Richard (aka England) about the Exotic Rasul and he said "OH YEAH! That's the tasting thing, right??!!!" FGS!!! Why do I bother????? :faint:

Right now, I'm not mentioning the mud either - mud sticks...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Are you watching the weather in the hopes of being able to control it?

I wish I could do that!! I would have Erica well out in the Atlantic!!!

Well my magnet printing went well, but they look a bit washed out.:sad2: Can't decide whether something is missing ink wise or if the paper is poor quality. Ah well, can't get any more paper, so apologies to Ian if they don't look too sharp.

ya I have to say I'm bummed at the levels, I'm only at 4 with this cruise, that means 2 more in order to enjoy the next level :sad2:

In the hope??? This is Mystical Meteorological Marilyn we're talking about - weather control is her super power... ;)

ok, I now know where to hunt you down. Of course have no fear, I forget things really quickly too :rotfl2:

Are you late dinning or early? I'm late

We're at the back of da boat, Nan - you'll tire way before you make it to our room!!! Tho' I expect to see you abseiling in from Topsiders... :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Nan, sweetie, I know you're late dining. I think we're at your table or, at the very least, nearby... :rotfl::lmao::rotfl: Seems you really do forget things really quickly... :rolleyes1

Marilyn,

I wish you could control the weather too. Sadly you can't. I has provided me with a continuous source of disappointment.
