September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 3

I think I found most of the children's gender on page 1.

Regarding TA next year. There are one or two of us on the WB at the moment, plus some other great folk I know too!!!:thumbsup2 Don't let those on the EB sway you in that direction!!!:lmao:
I second that! We too are cruising on the WB next year - and are excited AGAIN to be travelling with our favorite DIS'ers... or most of them, and some on TA were on our Double Dip and Sister reunited cruise and I look forward to them meeting some of YOU on this cruise!
Any day gets better with Chocolate ;)
Words to live by - my friend - words to live by!:wizard:

We are on the WB TA.

Are any of you hoping to book any of the 2011 cruises. It appears some info will be out on the Friday before this cruise. I'm concerned that on the cruise I won't be able to contact Dreams to get a request in ready for the cruises to be on sale in October. I guess it depends how much info is given out and how long there is until they are on sale.

Indeed, one of the reasons we booked!
116 days so far this year.

Holy guacamole! I wanna grow up and be like Woody!

I would LOVE to - but am waiting to see how much in "love" with cruising my DH is - if not - I bet I could get my sister to book a gals cruise with me!:thumbsup2

Emily, we are so like you. It isn't about the ports as it is the relaxing sea days. On our PC cruise in 2005, so many complained about sea days but we loved them. They knew when booking so there really wasn't any room for them to complain. They still managed to do so and made it hard on DCL. Some people are never happy.

Emily, how did you book your one way airfares? Anyone getting stung by doing a roundtrip and not showing up for the last leg of the trip? Have any advice for us IF we do take the transatlantic?

I'm hoping for either the Dream's maiden voyage or the Wonder's Panama Canal cruise. For me it will all depend on where and how long the Dream's maiden voyage is. If the maiden voyage is just going to be a short cruise since it looks like it will be taking over the Wonder's route I'll wait for Fantasy and do the PC cruise since we've yet to do that.

I like the ports, but I love just lazing around on those sea days. Now I will admit after 6 of them I was looking for a little more to do other than bingo, eat, sleep repeat, but hopefully they learned that a few more activities and updating the movies a little more often won't kill them.

We booked our cruise a week before so I didn't have a lot of time to research and worry. We booked one way on British Airway into Barcelona and then flew back here on Delta. There were probably cheaper alternatives, but that worked best under the short time restraints. British was extremely nice, we flew Premium Economy, which is a step up from coach and below business/first. Bigger seats and a seperate cabin area, it really spoiled us.

I know sometimes if you book multi-city it can be cheaper and it's still all linked together. I wouldn't recommend the round trip and then not showing up, I think I've seen where that works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.

Folks with Fish Extenders - just a reminder - don't forget a cable tie to secure your fish extender. They can grow feet and walk away.

Thanks for the reminder, Ian. Not that mine is anything too great, but I'm always amazed at the things people will take.

Hey, everyone!

My husband, mother in-law and I MAY be joining you. We haven't even booked yet, but just foudn out that we have 400 DVC points that are going to expire and we need to book something pronto! We just cruised the Eastern Caribbean in January. This will be my 10th and my hubby's 9th DCL cruise. We have NEVER planned this last minute before, so this is craaaaazy to us!!! We couldn't be more excited though! We are in the process of moving, so this would be a welcome break! Hopefully, we will know for sure tomorrow!!!!

And welcome to you :yay: too

"Hoping" is the key word here. We would love to rebook onboard, but I'm not sure if I can talk dh into rebooking onboard again. I have been a sahm since dd6 was born, and plan to look for a pt job when we get back from this cruise. I need to be able to pick dd up from school every day, and work around that schedule. Perhaps if I promise to get a pt job that pays really well.

Regarding FE's: I still don't see genders for the kiddos w/kristinnelson and keisha1. The rest I was able to figure out. Anyone else know?

Does anyone know what the prices are on jewelry down in Tortola? My gf's birthday will be the week following the cruise and I'm hoping I'll have enough money to get her something down there.
