Thanks Karen, that's wonderful of you, but its all sorted now. I actually found an old friend who was coming to the Bay Area who could pick it up for me. Good chance to catch up with him in person (rather than throught the Christmas "Round Robin" letters).

Time to start planning and preparing for next year (actually, if flights are not too expensive, we really need to go back to the UK next year, so hopefully we can pick on up on our way out (if I time it right!).

I had it whilst in Spain, Marilyn!!! DH bought it with him when he joined DS and myself for the final 2 weeks - nice, eh??!!! Anyway, I felt terrible for a couple of days, less bad for another couple and fine by day 6. No Tamiflu required - the Spanish doc said it was totally overhyped by the UK press...

Oh it has been totally overhyped here - as normal for our press.

I'm sorry you had it when on holiday. Good job it is a mildish illness at the moment.

Oh my gosh! I could just imagine if I had compared you to the Margaret Rutherford Miss Marple film series! Not even I could do that!

(Though I really do like Margaret Rutherford a lot. Passport to Pimlico is a favorite film of mine.)

The pressure is on me now. Not only have I got to start organizing myself, DH and the kids (the kids who STILL don't know we are cruising in 4 weeks...), but now, Whole Foods better have that biodegradeable sunscreen! (I suspect that Whole Foods, if anywhere, should have it - they have that kind of stuff!).

No worries...Whole Foods is right near my other shopping adventures. And I suppose, I could actually CALL them and see if they carry any!


Garry....I'll share any dessert on the ship that you want...that's the kind of generous person I am! (Just don't ever try to take a piece of fried chicken from my plate!) And I say, if you want THREE...get em...just ignore those people rolling their eyes at you.

OK peeps. Time to keep fingers crossed, pray to the weather gods or do a rain dance (whatever you want to help keep the weather at bay for our cruise).

First Atlantic tropical storm has been named and is heading towards the Caribbean / Florida. Thankfully though, at the moment its not forecast to be anything more than a tropical storm.

p.s. its an El Nino year, so the hurricane season is expected to be milder than normal due to that.

Ok week from (he --double hockey stick )- very raw from finding out a "friend" not only set me up but she did it to gain money in a lawsuit against the company - long story but I am feeling VERY untrustworthy and do not like that feeling since I am an Aquarian and humanity is important to me... or was...
Thought I would post this - stole if from National Geo site - and facebook my pal lisa found... to cheer myself up and to bring a smile to your faces...

So no one liked my dream eh? Ok I'll just go along on my way...sulking now... (don't worry I'll get over it). I guess I'm not as amusing as I thought... no big discovery there ....

TBH it was probably the best place to have it, Marilyn - I had no choice but just do nothing which probably got it over with quicker...

Luckily, I'm done with most of the preparation for the trip. The final necessities have been purchased and the final accoutrements have arrived.

Last weekend was pulling some things out of the closet, more along the lines of the dress clothing. The only thing I still have to get are safety pins, because some of the dress clothing may be too large and some shirts may have to be pinned in, but it will be covered up by jackets anyway.

Next weekend I'll start on the electronics and cables and start draining and recharging the camera batteries.

The packing won't happen until the weekend before, though normally I would wait to pack until the night before, but it won't be possible because a friend will be staying here who will be taking care of the dogs.

I'm still trying to decide if we will have a door sign or not. I'm really not sure. I suppose I should start thinking about a theme and design.

Would you like a hug? Betrayal is so difficult to deal with, especially from friends or supposed friends. It always makes me angry, more angry at myself for being trusting.

Oh, that is awful that a friend would do something like that. You have a right to feel like yiou do, but do try not to let it fester!!

Thanks guys - feeling much better, did laundry, steam cleaned the carpet - folded clothes, filled the bird feeders and ordered four more hummingbird feeders for my DH - why is it being productive ALWAYS heals me?

Ian I know what you mean about being mad at myself... I just don't know how to be trustful AND protect myself... forgiving, and moving on...

Good Morning! It's a great day today. I just unpacked my suitcase from May 08 WBPC cruise. Me and John are washing clothes, trying on things and packing one land and one sea suitcase each. We never unpack from trip to trip. We just wash and reuse. This time we're taking less clothes because the trip will be one week shorter.

I love seeing all my new tee shirts with tags still on them that I bought on the PC cruise and at DL after. I have a perfect pink tank tee with a glitter tinkerbell on it from Disneyland. I thought I might wear that for our champagne girls tasting.

I'm having so much fun going down memory lane of our last cruise while getting ready for the next.

Jackie, it makes sense to me too. Did you find the dolphin safe sunblock? I think I have some from Discovery Cove. If you need it I can bring it for you.

Kay, Marilyn and Ian, Happy Saturday....last few weekends before starting vacations. I am getting very excited today while prepping.

Next I'll be getting my hair and eyebrows done. After that will be a mani/pedi.

Then we meet at Fishlips. Speaking of.....I sent them an email to book our ressie and they asked if we wanted upstairs or down. I have only been there once with disers and we were downstairs. I wrote back and asked if upstairs was outside or in. I'm waiting to hear back. Does anyone know? I'm thinking we want upstairs inside by a window. Any thoughts?
