September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 3

The kids are all done...just need to put room numbers on them. The adult's gifts are in process....I do have a question, though. I noticed some rooms have 2 adults in them that are not a couple. My gifts are for a "couple" and I am wondering if I need to deliver two in those rooms where each person would want one. What do y'all think? Second, how does the FE work (I am sure that will come in a message, but I am just wondering.) Are all things delivered the first day or are we each given a date to deliver? My kids are so excited about giving their gifts!!

Delivery can be however and whenever you choose. A deck a day...a little each evening....whatever.

As far as the adults gifts go, it is totally your choice. Personally, I look forward to fighting my sister over it! Whatever it is...it's MINE! Heck, she's getting my Castaway Club gift for goodness sakes. (see...isn't that fun?)

Do you want my opinion? Nope, didn't think so - but here it is - whatever FE gift comes to your room it's YOURs you are playing... she isn't AND after the "possible upgrade" conversation... well that's just the way I roll - you aren't going to keep SOME of your Castaway Club gift? Like the note pad? I love that...


Oh yeah, just remembered another part of my dream - someone asked me how OLD my avatar photo was - it was the son of BibbityBobbityBoo - who I don't know and I don't even know if jackie's ever cruised with her before, but evidently in my dream he had a rep for being a "bad boy" in the cruise world - why on earth would I dream that? And what does HE care how old my photo is? Geez... I'm in serious need of therapy...

Oh, don't spoil my fun! You only need to do one for our stateroom, as big sis isn't participating in gift giving...I only planned on sharing the edible gifts with her! (however Monica and Nan each need their own....Nan is mean and wouldn't share)

My DVC desktop countdown says that there are 20 days until I and my little intrepid team of advanced scouts are in WDW.

Actually, Hisselfness and I should be well ensconced in our 2-bedroom villa at VWL, and should have returned by now from grocery shopping.

Jackie and Cheri will have landed.

Was finishing up my tags for the FEs we're giving out (gotcha covered kimlovesdisney!) and the sample didn't quiteturn out like I expected. Gotta tweak it a little and maybe change some things. How are you all doing on your FEs?

I need to find our old one which I loved and update the cabin number. Hopefully I can do it so that it doesn't looked like I swiped someone else's and just made it ours. I do remember using permanant marker last time though.......
dd doesn't start school until the 24th, so we will be hunting down our FE goodies this coming week. The list is final now regarding numbers, isn't it?

Sorry I have been laying low - caught a bad summer cold and told my doctor yesterday that I HAVE to get over it immediately because I'm not missing the mouse!!!!!!!!!
We took dd6 on some snorkeling lessons so we can be ready for Tortola. They went fantastic and I am psyched.

This is swimming with the sea turtles in Barbados. We did the 11 night Southern cruise in 2006.

I was on that cruise with you!! No DH but I was there, I was one of the "escaping moms" (no kids, no husbands & no cell phones!!)

I have updated page 1 posts 1 and 2 concerning FISH EXTENDER participation. I am behind in this thread due to Tom's hospitalization. I hope to be able to catch up soon. If anyone finds an error please send a PM or post it here.

Tom is home from the hospital and ahead of schedule on tolerated activities. The double recliner he wanted last spring (that I was hesitant to get but finally gave in) came in July. He cannot twist, or use his arms to push, pull or lift since he has a broken bone (breastbone) with no cast, so sleeping in the waterbed is not feasible. We are living and sleeping in the double recliner!!

4 weeks til we cruise, but I am lulled into a false sense of security as I need to remind myself that we are leaving on vacation week earlier, so for those of us in Orlando the week prior - only 3 weeks to get packed!

We have purchased on line access aboard the ship twice. We're not doing it this time. We're going to use the internet cafe instead. Purchasing internet access is very expensive and not dependable. It kept knocking me off and was extremely slow. I burned up more time accessing then I actually did engaging. I have also used the internet cafe onboard and found it much more cost effective and reliable.

Can someone explain how they are different? I thought the computer area by Promonade lounge was the same cost as using your own computer at Cove Cafe.
