We have a CC Cabana Massage booked for 2.00-2.50pm.

The kids clubs closes at 3pm - will there be enough time to get back to pick up the little darlings from the kids clubs that day?

-Kay

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but I thought the kids clubs were open all day. Or, on Castaway Cay until it was time to reboard the ship.

Kay, I don't think you could make it by exactly 3PM...depends on if it were necessary to wait for a tram. If you walked out the door of the cabana at 2:50 and a tram was right there, then yes, it is just possible. And I assume you are talking about the kids club ON CC, not on the ship. No way could you be back on the ship by 3.

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. THe kids club locates to Castaway Cay during the day, but closes at 3pm to enable them to move the club back to the ship. I don't believe you can leave the kids in the club to transition with the counsellors

Yes the kids club on CC - I believe kids have to be checked out of the club by 3pm.

Does anyone know how long it takes to walk from Serenity Bay? or is there a number at DCL that would know whether I would be able to make it back / if the kids club would give us some leeway on the time if we were not able to make it on time?

Hi All!

Just a quick question today. Do any of you know if there are any wheelchairs onboard that could be borrowed while off the ship at the ports? DD Kellie has some mobility issues and does not do well walking for any real length of time.

I would just call DCL. They are the one's selling the massages, and I would think it would occur to them that people have kids. I would see what their solution is.

I would hate for you to miss a "princess" lunch.

Considering what Disney, considers "princesses," scullery maids, servants, girls with rabbit fetishes, poor people from failed "inventor" homes, I would be happy to create a princess luncheon on board ship for you.

I can assemble much more interesting princesses than Disney can and so you don't miss out, would be happy to create an Eastwood Manor Princess Lunch.

These are princesses exclusive to the Eastwood Manor franchise. I can rustle up one princess who has a penchant for rum, another one, has recently become enamored with tattoos, and I can even find one who is a bookish type.

Just say the word, and you'll have more princesses than you can shake a martini at!

And as always, I advise people to shop wisely, when shopping for princesses.

hahahahaha.....you are such a wack-a-doo.....and for that, we love you so much!!!

It would be the highlight of my trip to attend an Eastwood Manor Princess Lunch. Those are my very favorite princesses. Say when and I'll be there!

Kay, it would definately take you way longer to walk back than to take the tram...even with a wait. (unless you power walk or job....but that sure would defeat the purpose of the massage!)

Evett, I know Cheri can answer the question about wheel chairs on the ship as she and her sister both needed one once. She'll be back from Disneyland on Sunday.

For both of you, if you want to post the question on the main DCL forum you'll probably get an instant answer from someone.

Hi Evette.....I have a hard time walking too. I go slow and have to rest frequently. One year we brought our own wheel chair and folded it up and kept it in the room. Mostly we just tell the person organizing the excursion and they will keep an eye on me and wait until I make it to wherever we're going. I get there eventually. DCL does not have any wheelchairs available onboard. You might want to call them just to verify that it has not changed. Maybe your best bet is to bring your own.

Hi Princess Bookworm......I got your PM and sent you a reply. You are so good for staying on top of things. I really appreciate your help.

Have a great day in your kingdom of the sun!

I believe on Castaway Cay they have wheelchairs with large wheels for use on the beach.

Woody

I concur with Woody. I've seen beach wheel chairs available.

While we missed the Mickey Bars (momentarily), they had a hand scooped ice cream bar with five or six flavors daily (flavors often changed), an extensive assortment of toppings, and adult toppings such as Creme de Menthe, Peppermint Schnapps, and Creme Curacoa. They also had soft serve.

Woody

So how much weight did you gain with all those varieties?

Speaking of ice cream, in Vancouver we visited La Casa Gelato which has an amazing 218 flavors on display. Everything from "Chocolate Raspberry Truffle" to "Garlic." You can sample as many as you want.

Woody

Ahhhh another place to put on my list of visits... :goodvibes

Here's Disney's page on Disabilities...

I know others have found places to rent equipment and have it delivered to the ship - that might help... try posting on the main cruise board and see if you can get an answer..

Hey... some of us are Queens... princess:

When I went back to get that picture I got an error message saying it had been moved or deleted. Sorry.

jan

I'm sorry my fellow Hoosier - when I posted my New Mexico trip photos, I had done some clean-up and deleted that one, never realizing it needed to stay there! SORRY - it's back now. Geez don't you just love us?:scared1:

Having to manage myself on this... not sure I can comment - since my Mom told me not to say anything if you cannot say something nice... BUT I will say this "tart" is in the eyes of the beholder. Because to me, Ariel was willing to give up EVERYTHING for a MAN... even though she was a born princess NOT to a human ... I know I have issues.

I hadn't thought about it, but the tips cost more than the cost of our Tortola cruise. Ouch!

Woody

HOLY SMOKES! I have to get my mind wrapped around that...

NOW that I can't get my mind wrapped around. I bet MRS Woody was in 7th Heaven!:cloud9:

And as Alice Roosevelt Longworth (Teddy's daughter) is famous for saying:

"If you can't say anything nice, come sit next to me."

Awesome, I won't have to "manage" myself so much!!! FREE FOR ALL!:rotfl::lmao::cool1:

I just changed my Tortola excursion. I was going to do the Island Tour, Beach and Lunch but then I reread the description and it says that you must be able to walk 50 yards on a sand surface from the bus to the beach and restaurant. There is NO WAY that I will be able to do that. Besides, John HATES sand. That's not going to work for us anymore. So I changed it to the Land and Sea Tour. Good catch. I can't believe I didn't see it before.:confused3

I think we are going to book the Land and Sea Tour too. I'm sure we will enjoy it and I think it's something DD Kellie would be able to do without much fuss. I have to wait until June 29th to book it.
