How weird is this...?

My sister and nephew booked THIS cruise yesterday without knowing that we were even on it.

She just mentioned they got a fantastic deal on a Disney Cruise in September by going with her travel agent SIL. When I asked her what dates, I thought she was pulling my leg. What a coincidence!

Now I get to introduce her to the disboards, fish extenders, door magnets, etc.

And I guess I know who we'll be sitting with at dinner. With the five of us and three of them, that's the biggest standard table right? We'll link our ressies.

What a nice surprise. The funny thing is that we even thought about inviting them to go with us at the time we booked, but didn't want to put any pressure on them. And I knew it was during the school year and thought it wouldn't work, but now my sister homeschools my nephew.

That is funny! Great minds think a like :lmao:

That's awesome!!!! That is some type of luck right there.

It does sort of. But that's what I've seen a lot of these folks call themselves. I think because they supply reconstructionists.

Understood!

But, whenever my re-enactment friends say it, I still think of (was it?) Sir Edmund Hillary and his expedition. (Wish I was home and could do a quick check on his name and dates--perhaps he was Edwardian too. And amazing that anyone survived any attempt back then in light of the poor understanding of training and the quality of available clothing and equipment!)

Want me to add them to your entry on page 1 post 1 or shall we wait until she becomes a DISer?

How fun for you! I think it would be great to cruise with family and/or friends.

Jan do you have friends who are reenactors? I've always been fascinated by that and I think secretly would like to do it.

::yes:: hmmmmmm.perhaps next year for the EBTA Edwardian tea? :rolleyes1

You know we do set sail for that particular cruise on the day the Titanic went down? How appropriate that we wear Edwardian garb.

Would you like me to paint you?

I thought our cruise sails on the 10th of April - the Titanic sank on the 15th. (I remember that cuz it's my sis's bday). :confused3

One family does Renaissance and one does Revolutionary War. The first family are DIS-Facebook friends and the second are college friiends. They are not local to us, we hear about their adventures by Facebook-DIS post or Christmas letter.

Yes, I stand corrected. It sank on the 15th. We'll be at sea on that day.
