I'm sorry my fellow Hoosier - when I posted my New Mexico trip photos, I had done some clean-up and deleted that one, never realizing it needed to stay there! SORRY - it's back now. Geez don't you just love us?:scared1:

I went back to post 2159 but there still is not a picture there. Can you post it again? Thanks in advance.

(As far as the Hoosier label, you and your siblings are born and bred Hoosiers, I am a transplant.)

I think we are going to book the Land and Sea Tour too. I'm sure we will enjoy it and I think it's something DD Kellie would be able to do without much fuss. I have to wait until June 29th to book it.

YEAH....the DISers are taking over....we'll have a good time.:woohoo:

Well, your bags (and you) go through customes no matter who takes them from your room. You CAN take your bags with you from your room the morning we disembark, but you'll have to schlep them with you to breakfast and find a place for them in the restaurant out of the way.

DCL will pick them up from your room the night before (you have to have them outside your door by 11PM) and you can collect them at the terminal, before going through customs. You will find tags in your stateroom the night before that will go on your luggage and let you know which section (Donald, Mickey) you stuff will be in when you get down to the terminal. It's very organized. Folks say disembarking on DCL is the most organized of any of the cruise lines.

It's pretty painless to do it that way, though that Friday at Castaway Cay and final dinner and show, it gets pretty hectic to get your luggage packed and out (especially if you want to hit Pub Night in the adult club that night :thumbsup2). So take some time on Thursday (sea day) to get some of your stuff packed up or at least organized. DON'T FORGET to leave out your clothes for the next morning! You will have access to your luggage to rearrange anything you like (for example, I have to put my lotions and potions into my checked bags instead of my carryon when going straight to the airport).

.

Thanks for the info. That's what we'll do, why lug around the bags when it sounds like it's pretty painless to let them do it for us.

You guys are great and very helpful. It's nice to see you all helping out us newbies. We really appreciate it. I love the DISboards!!!!

Stretching my memory a bit, but we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites. They have a shuttle (or at least had) and as I recall, I booked it because it was cheaper than the Radisson. It was more than fine for one night.

Thanks for the info. I checked and they were a $20 more than the Radisson. Since we have 2 rooms, we didn't want to fork over the extra cash. Gotta save it to spend on the fruity, boozy drinks on the ship.

I would love to come to your pre-cruise dismeet at Fishlips, thank you! The only problem is talking the cousins into it. I'll have to do a search to find the menu, I know I've seen it on here. Their kids are pickey eaters, so if grilled cheese is on the menu I can sell it to them  That is, as long as kids are welcome, I wouldn't want to just assume, and I wouldn't want to horn in if you wanted a relaxing evening before the cruise. I'll try to google Fishlips later and check out the menu. You all are most friendly people. I can't wait to meet you all on the ship! I predict that this is going to be one fun cruise!!!! :cheer2:

The fun part is sharing thoughts and ideas while you get to know everyone. It makes it special. Check out fishlips at:

You are certainly welcome to bring anyone you want at any age. Everyone is welcome. I always say, the more the merrier. I hope you find your grilled cheese.:thumbsup2

WooHoo, they have grilled cheese for the kiddies

That place looks great. I could definitely do some damage to the ol' waistline there. Everything looks so good! I will definitely be trying to coax the cousins into trying this place out. Pencil us in, I'll let you know closer to Sept. Thanks Deb and Monica for making me feel welcome :goodvibes

What a change. I suppose they flip-flop in prices.

We are planning on going to the pre-cruise dinner at Fishlips - we will be bringing our 2 year old, so shouldn't be an issue with bringing the little ones. :goodvibes

When you're ready, I know of several Victorian/Edwardian outfitters.

"outfitters" makes me think of people who help you get ready to scale Mt. Everestt.

How weird is this...?

My sister and nephew booked THIS cruise yesterday without knowing that we were even on it.

She just mentioned they got a fantastic deal on a Disney Cruise in September by going with her travel agent SIL. When I asked her what dates, I thought she was pulling my leg. What a coincidence!

Now I get to introduce her to the disboards, fish extenders, door magnets, etc.

And I guess I know who we'll be sitting with at dinner. With the five of us and three of them, that's the biggest standard table right? We'll link our ressies.

What a nice surprise. The funny thing is that we even thought about inviting them to go with us at the time we booked, but didn't want to put any pressure on them. And I knew it was during the school year and thought it wouldn't work, but now my sister homeschools my nephew.
