Was that what you wanted?

Well, it's just convenient if we decide to mosey over there after dinner and see if there are any seats in the back. I did that once and the had just opened up a section for people they were going to turn away....you never know. But this is not something I'd wait 60 minutes standing in a crowd for. (been there, done that)

So, Peg, you want this in post 2 or do you want to wait till you get a more recent photo or both?

Also, how about being part of the Fish Extender crew? You asked me to take that off your listing and I did but now Michelle wants you to have a FE by your door so she can play Santa Mickey and bring you presents each day. :rotfl:

Jan :confused3

Peg's away right now, but no...don't post that picture on page one. She'll get a photo of them later this month then ask them if they want it posted.

Yes, remove FE for her (but not me...I'm still playing)!

I'm staying with my four legged nieces right now. Just had a swim and dinner and am hoping I remember how to set the alarm!

.

Ok, so... Andy and I will probably book the Norman Island Snorkel excursion in Tortola...

Anyone else??

:confused3

Joan and I want to snorkel in Tortola - not sure where. That sounds familiar though. We'll have to look at the excursions again this weekend, and let you know.:)

I expressed an interest in snorkeling, but got vetoed.

Tomorrow's another milestone. It's ADR day for our September trip.

It's unusual for me, because someone else is making the ADRs. I feel a bit out of control.

Yes, you could be getting a message that 'sorry we could only get Bietergarden and Askerhouse....oh, and LeCellier!' :lmao:

Thanks Monica! :thumbsup2 Looks like I picked a Fantasmic night for 50's Prime Time.

I love 50's Prime Time! It has become a tradition for DH and I to head there for lunch right after we dump our carry on luggage in our hotel room. Having grown up in the 50's the nostalgia can't be beat. Such fun! Then we are off to my favorite attraction, Tower of Terror, for several rides. Oh, I am getting excited!

We have never seen Fantasmic because I hate waiting in lines. Do you all think it is worth doing since we haven't seen it?

The show is incredible, but I hate lines and crowds too.

We've only ever done it with the Fantasmic Dinner Package, though the Prime Time is not one of the 3 restaurant options.

We've done it with both Hollywood & Vine and Mama Melrose.

Hollywood & Vine has, in my opinion, really fallen in quality over the past several years. Once upon a time we quite liked it, and the last time we were there we hated it.

Mama Melrose was OK, not bad, but nothing wonderful.

Fantasmic is really well worth seeing and a not to be missed show.

In our case, because we've seen it quite a few times, we can give a miss on this trip.

I think you've picked our three favorite restaurants in the World Showcase.

I always feel so comfy in a rowdy German restaurant, and we all know that German cuisine is well known for their vegetarian options.

And after the last time we ate at Le Cellier, where the chef outdid themselves by serving a slice of eggplant soaked in grease on a bed of greasy boiled cornmeal, excuse me, a bed of greasy polenta, we can't show our faces there again.

Especially not after the waiter asked Sukie how he was enjoying his meal.

Askerhouse, another restaurant known for it's delightful vegetarian options. Nothing I like better than having a wanna be princess shove creamed herring and meatballs down my throat.

The only thing better would be Coral Reef. At least there, we could be amused by watching Cheri catch her dinner with her bare teeth.

Thanks Ian! I will have to put this on my mental must do list. I will definitely have to consider the dinner package. We have never been to either restaurant but love Italian food so Mama Melrose would be a good choice for us. Seems we always hit our favorite attractions and then there is no time to add different attractions. I am determined to do some new things this trip.:thumbsup2

Hi Donna!

I really enjoyed Mama Melrose when I went there (1x - doing the Backstage Magic behind the scenes tour). Food is served family style & the decor is lovely. Fantasmic! is a must see IMO at least once - so if you can do the dinner package I say GO FOR IT!

Thanks Monica! I will have my DU travel agent make ressies for the Fantasmic Dinner package at Mama Melrose. That way we will be sure to do it this time.:thumbsup2 It will be nice to try a different restaurant and see a show we haven't seen.:goodvibes

I would definitely do it with the dinner package. You really don't pay more for dinner, you're just prepaying it and of course you are buying the appetizer, main course, dessert and beverage. But, you do get tickets to go in through a special entrance and there is a reserved seating section. The main benefit is not having to deal with the lines and the crowds.

There is no special entrance these days. :sad2: Also with Fantasmic only being a couple of nights a week you have to be there in good time even with the package as the crowds can be frightening(I've read a few threads about this). They let the non package folk into the reserved seating fairly early too.

If they do put on an extra show the same night, the package people still have to go to the first one, or just go to the norma, non reserved seating area at the late show.

Get the package though for the best chance.

Well, I was going to post a picture of Dennis and me, but I don't have enough posts. You're safe for awhile. :lmao:

I've only booked one excursion so far, the parasailing on Castaway Cay. I made the mistake on our first cruise to Alaska 2 years ago of overbooking us. Add that experience to the lack of a printed excursion brochure that I could hand to Dennis (computer phobic!) makes me want to play this one by ear.

Kathe (katypop) & I did the parasailing on CC during the Panama Canal cruise - it was amazing! (and I'm scared of heights). I definately recommend it :thumbsup2

Well, that sure stinks. And here I thought I had a decision made. Now I have to rethink this.:confused3 The words crowds and frightening in the same sentence make me :scared1:

Don't you need to know how to water ski for that?

Perhaps frightening is too strong a word. Some have said that, but there again they were only a few comments. It is very crowded though and the wait line is long. However, if you have never seen it I would still do it. Most of the wait is sitting down.
