Remember, if you go with AA and use DCL transportation back to MCO, you can check your bags all the way through from when you leave them outside the stateroom door on Friday night till you hit O'Hare.

I did this coming home from the PC cruise - very nice. You get your boarding pass too (if I remember correctly) so you just need to go through security.

DEB - I'll be up for a Fishlips meet the night before. Working on the hotel stuff now...I requested 1/2 the day off that Friday so should be able to get on the road at 215pm.....depending on what Nan's plans are though.

Not sure if Nan's decided if she's staying on site, at the Hyatt or in Cocoa. I think it depends alot on what flight she gets.

HEY! You'll be missing EVERYBODY if you don't BOOK THIS CRUISE! :rotfl:

Are you still considering WDW in Oct for F&W Festival too?

.

Jackie... I just have too much to considder before booking... but you know I'd love to be there... otherwise I'm going to feel horrible being stuck up here with everyone trying to tip Nan out of the loungers in the Rainforest...

We'll see...

Thanks for the reminder. I wonder if I can book one-way transportation via DCL back to MCO?

Our really big problem is here in Chicago. I would much prefer to fly on SWA, but I just don't see how we can manage the luggage via public transportation.

I think we will probably have 2 bags each, or at least a garment bag and 2 other bags of varying sizes, plus the cameras, etc.

::yes:: You most certainly can.

.

Thanks Jackie... I know I booked one way in CA... I just guessed you could do it from the ship...

Will Diane take us to the airport?

(Like I'm even being serious)

Have you asked her?

Though, there's still that group transport option out there too.

It's really nice to not have to worry about getting your luggage. You have your boarding passes, you get off the ship:sad1: and you're on the way to the airport with little hassle.

She doesn't even take ME to the airport! :lmao:

Actually, she is going to take Cheri and I to the airport in May. But whenever I 'arrive' in Chicago, I just take a cab.

Perhaps, if you make a VERY good impression in May...it could happen.:confused3 I think she finds it less of a hassle to just 'dump' people at the airport, as opposed to trying to find/make connections with people arriving, which I totally get.

.

Want to meet at Fishlips the night before boarding???

Cheri, how about you??? Are you staying near the port again???

I think I'll end up just coming in Friday, unless there is a way cheaper flight then ealier to play at WDW. Where ever you decide is good for me the night before, just by port like we talked about :woohoo:

I'm just going to cab it. I might work at home that Friday before, or I might take the day off (now that I realized there is Labor Day).

When Sukie and I went on the PC cruise, we had 3 bags (a garment bag, a 29" suit case, and big duffle bag) and that was packing for 2 weeks! This is only a 1 week cruise and we have a washing machine in the 2-bedroom to boot. That is if the broads we're staying with let us use it.

As I write, the more I think about it, the more I realize that I will have to work at home that day, or take time off. If I work, Sukie would have to meet me down in the Loop with at least one bag, that would mean me schlepping to work via the El in the morning with 2 suitcases... Not going to happen.

Hi friends!
Sorry haven't been on here much, have some bad news though (for us anyway) as we've had to cancel the cruise this year.:( :( :(

so it looks like we won't be meeting up with all you lovely people after all. We wish you all happy cruising anyway and hope the champagne girls (yet again) have fun without me :(

Maz, Karen, Deb, Jackie & Peg etc look forward to still chatting on Fb :grouphug:

I'm so sad.....:(:grouphug:

That's why I wanted to know if after a cruise or after WDW. If after a cruise, the flight should be in the afternoon.

Hi guys. I'm not one to post these kinds of things here on the boards but I felt that this one needed some special attention.

I'm sure you've all heard about the commuter jet that went down here last week killing all aboard and one on the ground in Clarence, NY. This petition is for ABC's Extreme Makeover to come and re-build the Wielinski home that was destroyed when Flight 3407 crashed into it last Thursday night. We're asking that you sign the petition and forward the link to as many people as possible. Hopefully, ABC will here our prayers. Thank you.

Oh that will be so much fun. We'll definitely be at Fishlips that night.....hopefully with some more DISer friends too. We'll see Sandi/DD and the kids on Thursday night then do Fishlips on Friday. We'll see where Nan decides to stay, but it would be great if she can also join us.
