Has anyone seen the latest news from DVC :badpc: Point Charts are very different for 2010 more points for Sun- Thur and less for weekends  This is going to be a BIG Mess:crazy2: Sorry to be off topic but thought u should know

Do you think there were that many folks who were staying off property on the weekends then moving over to DVC? I know a few people who have done that. Or perhaps they think they can get more 'long weekend' visitors if the daily points were more balanced? Did the overall 'total' for a week change? Hmmmmmm....may mosey over to the DVC board and read the buzz....

I always appreciate info like this, opinions and results of research. Jackie is really good at checking things out so now we have a couple

Thanks to all who help keep me informed.

:thumbsup2 THANK YOU ONE AND ALL for all the lovely Birthday Wishes!!!! I cannot believe how (clears her throat...old I am!!!!) I sure don't feel it! Had a lovely meal at Roy's last night, Jose's first time there - delicious! I tried the sampler, four different pieces of different fish with their special sauces! YUM! Wine, a menu with my birthday wish and a photo for memories! Great times!

Morning Tortolians! I'm trying to get awake...had one of those awake in the middle of the night for a few hours type of sleep. I'm going to need energy for today as we are 'hitting the rails'! Some of us are riding the new light rail system into Tempe to hit an Irish Pub for lunch and celebrate Peg's birthday. We may get on and off a few times to check out other stops along the way. This could be an adventure...especially since the organizer hasn't contacted us with start time and meeting place!

We pretty much knew it was starting at 10:00... she's been trying to plan WHILE working, with lots of people and trying to accomodate... not easy... you are so used to just planning for one, you forget how time consuming and difficult it is! And YES it will be an adventure, lots of stops at different types of venues... coffee, bakery, mexican, billards, irish pub, etc.

OFF to a very good time!:drive:

Last night I FINALLY looked at the excursions, and at first glance, albeit a quick one, there's nothing that I really find interesting. I'll have to go back and look again, or start to investigate independent exploration.

:flower3: Thanks, I really needed that.

I do not take teasing well at all--never did My Dad was a big tease so if someone could learn to deal with it I should have learned, but it is not the way I am wired. He never got used to the fact that I always took his words at face value. :guilty:
.

Note to self always tell Jan JUST KIDDING :thumbsup2 I know what you mean about not getting it. I was very teased as the youngest child in our family and it took me a LONG time to get over it. When the next generation came I made the leap over to the dark side and sometimes I'm too far I know, so if I ever hurt you I appologize in advance...cuz...love you mean it

My dad was like that. I always knew when he was teasing but my friends didn't. I think he scared them sometimes. DH and I also had a friend with a really weird sense of humor. We never could tell if he was kidding about something or if he was serious. I finally just started to ask him if he was kidding and that just got me an answer that got me more confused!:rotfl: I actually enjoy being teased. I figure if someone is comfortable enough to tease me that they must like me.:thumbsup2 I would never tease someone that I didn't feel close to.

And...
Happy Belated Birthday to Peggy Jo!

My humor delivery is ALWAYS rather deadpan. Often people don't realize that I'm kidding. 99% of the time people usually get that I'm kidding around. The 1% that they don't I am crushed because I NEVER knowingly seek to hurt anyone, and then I become extremely apologetic.

I'm really just a squidgy teddy bear at hear (albeit a squidgy teddy bear with fangs)

Donna: I'm glad you learned to "get it"!! Wish I had. My Dad always thought I would but it still always feels like criticism.

Ian: When I do ALMOST "get it" it's because it is over the top but I still walk away feeling criticized--I just don't let that show so people don't know how badly I'm hurt.

At 60 I figure if I was going to be comfortable with it I would be by now. Tom is not a teaser--good choice on my part.if I'd been married 40 years to a teaser I'd have no self-esteem left.:sad2:

I've been there on two separate occasions and still have not found anything that stands out that we want to do. We may just be going out on our own for the first time.

We really enjoyed our Cabo excursion on the PC cruise. We went to a hotel on the beach. So we had our choice of water to go into. John likes pools and I like the beach. We were both happy. Also, they had unlimited cocktails. There is nothing like that available on St. Thomas or on Tortola through DCL. I'll have to look and see what I can find for us to go off on our own.

Just got done playing on the WDW web site, running some numbers for Peg. She's thinking of doing WDW for four days after this cruise, so I did some MYW packages and some DVC points/rentals numbers for her. Free dining may apply to the Magic Your Way pacages for these dates too. :thumbsup2 However....after all the food on the ship, they may not WANT to eat! :lmao:

I'd be interested to hear what you come up with.

I can tell you that after a week in WDW and a week on the ship, I'm not going to want to look at food again for a LONG time.

Yeah, but I was DYING for a Mickey Bar when I got home... & I know it's a Dove bar, but it HAS to be a :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

So far the only thing that is holding me back is that the 12th is my Aunt and Uncles 60th wedding anniv. and I'm not sure yet when they are going to have the party... but it's on the list... I have this great wish to visit with my tablemates again!!!

So How are you and Harry been?

Just as long as they taste the same... I don't care who makes them... it's like Girl Scout cookies... they have a few bakers they contract with but they have to taste the same...

Oh Yeah...

HI MARILYN!! :wave2:

Hi Michelle.

How about you organise your Aunt and Uncle's wedding anniversary 'do'. The week BEFORE the cruise!!!
