I can't wait to hear about their adventures. I wonder if anyone will be doing a 'live' repot. Maybe I'll go over there and ask them!

I'm waiting patiently for Peggy to wake up so we can make our plans to play with Cheri this weekend. :cool1:

.

Michelle, I've got my fingers crossed for you! :thumbsup2

.

Why don't you just phone her and wake her up?

Awww Deb, I'm sorry...   We'll just have make this cruise even more Tortolly brilliant for you... :goodvibes

Thanks Kaz, that's so sweet of you to say. Yes, I Tortolly agree that we'll just have to make this one even better. I was only going to do the FE and the Champagne Girls on this one anyway. So at least we get to do the one that counts and my deposit was transferred to this one so I have less to pay off. There's always a bright side!

Sorry to hear that Deb. Will miss seeing you around. Looks like it will just be me and John doing the B2B soon, though if the exchange rate doesn't improve we might have to cancel it too!!

Well so far you still have Kathe, Cheri and Vicki that are still doing the B2B. So if you do get to do it, you'll still see some familiar faces.;)

Hi Kids!

Marilyn, both Cheri and Kathe are still booked for the B2B. Cheri will be doing a three week trip! Must be nice to be retired. ::yes::

Had some stiches out yesterday (but not all) and can sit more comfortably now. YEAH! :thumbsup2

Kaz, nice to see you here. Don't be such a stranger. :grouphug:

Sorry Jackie, I should have kept reading before I posted. But you forgot about Vicki/DisneyRN1. Remember she broke her hand on an excursion in Mexico.....that Vicki. I think she's still doing the Western too.

Hello from Sydney,

G'day! We are having a lovely time in the land down under. Yesterday we visited the Sydney Opera House, and Wednesday we will attend a performance.

Woody

Hi Woody and Mrs. Woody. Great to see you checking in and hearing more about your adventures. Enjoy!!!

It's such a bore at the mo isn't it, Marilyn... Fingers crossed for you that cancelling isn't necessary...

Nooo!!! I'm looking forward to this cruise too much to cancel!!! I've just been busy/distracted with Uni stuff... :sad2:

Sorry, I will try harder!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: Tho' can't promise great attendance until end of May - my last assignment is due in next Wednesday :surfweb: , followed by WDW vacation :yay: and exams/exam revision :scared: :scared: :scared: when we return...

Good Luck with your exams....I'm sure you'll ace them! In the meantime, enjoy getting your assignment done and playing in WDW. I can't wait to see your pictures.

Well, I joined D23 yesterday - couldn't resist! The lovely Monica  is kindly taking delivery of the package for me as I thought the $58 delivery to the UK rather insane. Not to mention potential import taxes... So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next year's expo as DD and I are planning a 2010 September trip - possibly to Disneyland so it would be nice to coincide... :goodvibes

Don't forget to plan for a 2011 Dreams maiden voyage. I'm sure you'll see many of these same faces onboard.

Let us know how you like the D23 magazine and perks when you get them. Isn't Monica the best!!!

Thanks Jackie, we would all love to hear about it when you find out.

Oh, so cool. What are you planning on doing together??? Do tell!!!

Michelle, I've got my fingers crossed for you! :thumbsup2

.

Yeah, me too.....but I don't remember why???

Peg and I are meeting Cheri for breakfast tomorrow....where else but Mimi's Cafe! Then Cheri and I are going to see the documentary on "Phoenix Lights" (about the 1997 UFO sightings).

I finished reading "World Without End" today. Loved it just as much as "Pilars of the Earth". I'm STILL waiting for the final Harry Potter to come out in paperback, though I haven't checked in a month or so. I might just break down and get it from the library.

....that's my story for today....

Hi Jan.....happy birth month....I hope you're continuing to celebrate and have fun.

Today I had to cancel the second week of doing the B2B. John could not get the time off approved by his job. So we'll only be doing this cruise. Please take the B2B notation off of page one.

I'm very sad about it. I was looking forward to staying on the boat and doing the Western too. Alas, it's not going to happen.

Deb--so sorry, but I will take the B2B off your name. :sad1:

thanks for the Birth wishes--to you and all the others also!!
Today we ate at Buca de Beppo -- for my birthday!
Tomorrow we will go to our pub with a friend.
And of course, this trip counts too.
My Birthday trip to WDW will be on Tom's birthday as he will be able to be out of the office in October and could not be out now. We will pretend it is my coupon. (Did I tell you that before?)

Have a muffin for me!! Sounds like a great weekend. Are you going to grace us with some pictures? Please do.

I would love to hear your thoughts about the sightings after you see the documentary. Do you think they're real?

Jan, sounds like you're celebrating a birth year.....nothing could be more deserving for you. I always say, the more the merrier!!! Keep enjoying!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I got excited at first, thinking it was in FL, not CA. I thought we could hit the first couple days of it, and that it would be a good reason to go to WDW for a few days before the cruise. Oh, well. I guess an 8 day vacation is long enough with a 9 month old.

I'm really hoping there really are other special events though other than the expo.

Our grand-daughter will be nine months old on the cruise! :cutie:

So John and I were playing around with the idea of flying down and back to FL this trip. We can leave from a local Allentown airport and go into Sanford/Orlando. We prefer smaller airports if we're flying. We would still have the problems of luggage weight and how to pack, but we were willing to go for it. We never fly, we usually drive because John hates flying.

I checked Allegiant Air's schedule for Sept and found out that we won't leave until late on Thursday so a late check in to our hotel in Cocoa Beach. We didn't like that. We would lose a whole day. For our return flight, it takes off at 7am. We would have to drive to the airport from Lake Buena Vista and return the car rental and check in both us and our luggage before take off. We would have to get up in the middle of the night. Since there's only one flight in and out from Allentown to Sanford on Allegiant.....we decided to drive. We're sticking with what we know and like and we'll travel at our own pace in our own timeframes. We'll do an overnight at a roadside hotel on the way down and back. We'll get into Cocoa Beach for an early arrival and we can leave at the end when we feel like it. We don't have to check out until 2pm on our priority club membership. Since we'll have our car at the port we can pack a land bag and a sea bag and just carry one into hotels and carry the other one onboard to make it easier for us.

Reminder to everyone--please keep checking page 1 post 1 to be sure your intent on activities is up to date. Everyone I know of doing B2B has that designation after their DIS name. If there are errors, let me know.

This is also the place where you can see who is planning on doing what.

:)

Thanks for taking care of all of us Jan. You're doing a SUPER job and we're so lucky to have you sailing with us.

Thanks goodness it's a big boat... and I can't wait until Monica reads it before sending... :rotfl:

Yeah, me too.....but I don't remember why???

Very important project which MIGHT send me packing... in a good way... but don't tell Marilyn... cause I definately won't... ;)

I hear June... I need it for summer reading too... it's strange that it took so long for it to come out in Paper back unless they wanted to milk the HB copies first...

Already???? :cutie:

So does this mean that you will bring all of our extra luggage with you???

Hi everyone
I have been MIA for a while. MY DH had surgery the last of Jan. to remove a disk . He then had the area fused, and a titanium plate placed for protection. He did very well, and will be released by his dr after he has PT after we get back from Las Vegas :woohoo: at the end of the month. But...the way our life goes sometimes--I am looking at prob. having tennis elbow surgery, and he is prob. looking at surgery for torn rotator cuff. We don't have anything planned yet. That will keep us busy, but should not interfer with our cruise.
Happy Birthday Jan!:cheer2:
Welcome to all new cruisers!:flower3:
Jackie-glad you are feeling better!:thumbsup2
Woody-There's just nothing I can say. Have a great time, wish I were there!:worship:
Deb, I am SO sorry you are not able to cruise on the second part . :sad2: :sad1: You and John will definitely be missed!!! But I understand that sometimes you "have to do what you have to do"
Michele-are you booked on this cruise yet?:goodvibes

I am sorry if I have missed anyone, my memory isn't great anymore:sad2:

Just to update..my DH and I are still booked on the B2B. Thanks Deb for remembering us:hug:
Jan, please put us down for everything except the FE. I haven;t totally decided about the FE yet, but I don't think we will do that.

Hope to get more active on the thread until something else happens. :sad2: :rolleyes1 :goodvibes Vicki

:ssst: :ssst: :ssst: :ssst: :ssst:

We don't want to jinx it right now...

(I'm sure I'll let you know if I make it... we just can't tell Marilyn...;) )
