Here's a giant thread with more than you'll ever want to know about Fish Extenders.

EDITED: And don't forget, we are not allowed to make and SELL these on the DISboards, so don't post offering to buy one, as you wouldn't want to get anyone into trouble. You, of course, can PM someone for guidance in finding them on e-bay or whatever.

Here is the cake from the celebration package (This one is the bon voyage version, but they also do a birthday version.)

Also comes with banner and hanging decoration

There is also a centerpiece stand up decoration (similar to the hanging one) and a large magnetic sign on the door.

Reminding is ALWAYS a good idea. Also is mentioning it if you would like that cake to the CHOCOLATE. :thumbsup2

.

Ooh, didn't know to do that for chocolate - however DD's birthday is on the day we board, so I don't think we can pre-order (but perhaps I can talk to the staff when they are taking changes in the bar). If not there is always a Mickey Bar!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well, we will be serving two items that are traditional, childhood 'birthday dinners' in MY family. Spaghetti (Paul, Dianne, Peg) and FRIED CHICKEN (me)

Oh no.....now I think we all have to go to the dollar store and buy birthday gag gifts for everyone else! Oh, oh....I already know what I'm getting for everyone! LET'S DO IT.....cook and cater birthday party night!:woohoo:

.

Remember that the Electrical Water Pageant is also planned for that night. I was planning to watch it from the beach at VWL, though We could always wander over to the Polynesian for Dole Whips for dessert and watching the pageant.

One admitted that we had overwhelmed her, but she gave us another chance and is holding her own. I do think you may be right however as our group from the Westbound Panama Canal can seem formidable.

I can see how this can be a bit overwhelming, and sometimes seem downright cliquish. On the plus side most of us had never met prior to that cruise and have since become fast friends, which goes to show how from simple threads like this friendships can develop.

If someone had told me that that would happen before my last cruise I would have told them they were nuts.

Just checking to say I probably won't be around for a while as I'm off to Southern Spain in the morning for an extended sojourn in the sun
Have a great time.

We enjoyed spending two weeks in Southern Spain. Visiting the Alhambra was a highlight. Also, loved the fresh seafood paella.

It can be overwhelming to an outsider - I am an outsider too, but I just keep turning up like a bad penny :rotfl::rotfl:

If you are wary about getting in on the conversation. Just jump in, ask questions, answer them, talk about what you are doing for the weekend (even if it is just :laundy:). Anything. Keep jumping in. :flower3:

I have enjoyed getting to know my fellow cruisers. This trip I anticipate that our kids will just want to live in the clubs, so DH and I will have tons of free time if that happens :woohoo: It will be great to meet new friends and hopefully ones that will transcend the cruise :-)

I sent PMs to everyone who had no * a couple weeks ago. . .

My assumption is that those who are on the list with no * are those who do not want to participate, do not know about PMs or are not coming.

Unless you all want me to write to them again, I will let it be.
Good job!

I would let it be. If they are interested, all they have to do is post.

You guys are soooo helpful! It's great to get so much information before we go since I don't know what to expect.

That is what these boards are good for. Any more questions, just ask. Someone is SURE to have experience or a resource for you!! :)

...we don't want to miss out on a good menu dessert just because of a Disney cupcake! :lmao:

I wish they would put a flag or white chocolate decoration on the dessert of your choice! ::yes::

I would have said a shiny penny that you just can't ignore because it sparkles.

We didn't get anything on the cruise where we celebrated our 10th anniversary :sad2:

Hopefully they will get DD's birthday (and I WILL remind them as a good mommy should!)

We have had the cake a couple times and were underwhelmed. It is yellow cake with a jello-ish filling and topping. There is a white chocolate piece they stand up in it. That is the best part of the dessert and why we wish they would put it on the dessert of choice.

We usually do not tell them we are celebrating anything because we DON'T want that "cake" and we don't want the singing. But if you like that sort of thing, go for it. Remind the head server and your wait staff. ::yes::

Jan, the ones we had on the WBPC didn't have the jello puddingish part, it was all cake and whipped cream...I'm pretty sure they don't do those any more. But you are right....one doesn't really need a 'just OK' cake when there are so many other yummy things shipboard.

Well, I'm groomed, medicated, dressed and heading out to find some lunch and hit the craft store for Mickey ear supplies. Cheri told me they now have stiff felt, so I'm going to look for that for my ears. :thumbsup2

good day all!

Nobody ever told me we could ASK FOR CHOCOLATE. Now that puts an entirely different spin on it :lmao:

however, I STILL wish they would let you have the white chocolate swirly thing on the dessert of your choice.

Expect to not be able to do it all.

Relax, you are on vacation

::yes:: EXCELLENT ADVICE, Kay, EXCELLENT ADVICE ::yes::
