September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 2

I recently received a PM asking me to post something if we are still going, since all I have been doing is lurking around here. ;)
We are still sailing on the Last Call for Tortola! Booked the REAS package so I was able to get all my PALO ressie's book a few weeks ago. Got everything we wanted! Also booked a few excursions but am thinking about switching.

Considering participating in the FE exchange. Anyone want to tell me a little more about it?

:yay: great to see you here!! We wondered if anyone was lurking. Glad to have you out and posting!

I have added the * to your listing on page 1 post 1 to indicate that you are coming. You can check there to see what info others are sharing and if you want to add to your entry, post it here or PM me and I will add it there. I have also added the FE designation in your entry there so that as the group makes plans, that list can be checked for participants. Keep talking it up and more plans will evolve. disneylove69 is heading it up but is open to suggestions and assistance!

Please Read (that includes you lurkers)

PM-ing is a very inefficient and disorganized method for capturing information about anything.

I am in deep discussions to create an on-line survey to capture participation interests, and email contact information.

I did this for "Shots Around the Ship," on our Panama cruise and it worked out very well.

It provides several benefits:
  1. One stop shopping for folks on this cruise-thread (who are booked) to see what activites are afoot
  2. One stop shopping for expressing their interests and submitting their information
  3. One consolidated place for organizers to get participant information

A message to organizers

If you would like your activity to be included in this capture method, please let me know. An email would be nice. If you don't have my email address then a PM will do.

:cool1: Thank you Ian :thumbsup2

Would you repost this every so often as a reminder to cruisers? THANKS in advance. :)

:cheer2: GREAT NEWS!! So glad to hear from you!

I have put an * in front of your entry on page 1 post 1 of this thread. Let us know what you are interested in and sign up as systems evolve.

Survey done!

Monica, I haven't responded about laynards as I was waiting to get ahold of big sister.

Peg, you might want to mention laynards to P&J in NC when you see them (TOMORROW!) as they won't have Castaway Cay ones and will need something.

I'm sure when Jan catches up she will add the link to the survey to page one..... :)

I did just get a quote but need clarification on 1 thing before I post the cost. They did send me a pic but I don't think I can post it from here (will try in a moment) - if not I'll post it from home tonight.

It worked! - will try to see if I can get it bigger.

It says Last call for Tortola - September 12-19,2009 in Disney font

Deleted the small pic - look in the next box for large picture

Is this any bigger??

?? Just a Q here--don't all cruisers get a lanyard at the port? ??

Survey added to post 1 page 1
also think I will add the DIS meet since there has been a good response to that.

Jan, Castaway Club members do get a laynard at check in. First time cruisers don't.

I find the CC laynards pretty uncomfortable (itchy and fat). The one Monica just posted looks like the ones we made for the WBPC and those were very easy to wear (soft and skinny). PLUS...they're special...they're US! TORTOLIANS ROCK!

Ok....settling down now. Monica I like what you have on them. Will they let us use the word Disney? In about the same space we could have:

Last Call for Tortola - September 12-19, 2009
Last Call for Tortola - Disney Magic 9/12/09
The Magic's last call for Tortola 9/12-19 2009

Just in case folks would like to have the ship name on there too. And an alternate in case the laynard people won't let us to "Disney".

.

Jan - I know that CC members get a lanyard at the port but that shows CC member. What we did for the PC cruise is get these lime green lanyards so that we could spot other DISers as we walked about.

Kelly did an amazing job with them - there was also a badge holder at the end w/ our logo, our DIS name & our real name.

Monica - Nice job with the lanyards. The "badge clip" that you selected works better than the other styles.

looks like we both posted at the same time :lmao:

I'll check on the Disney name - I like your options. I also like Disney's last call for Tortola 9/12/09 :rotfl:

The price that I already got was for 50 lanyards (smallest batch) but not sure if it's w/ or w/o the badge holders (that's why I don't want to post it yet)

I like choice No. 2 best: Last Call for Tortola - Disney Magic 9/12/09

KAY...

PM me with your e-mail address....I've got more info for you.:thumbsup2 I need to be able to 'forward' it to you.

Didn't receive a PM and haven't been lurking either. We are booked, paid for and reservations made. We may do the FE. I always love the lanyards that aren't Disney. They are definitely scratchy. The one posted looks like the one we had on the first EB PC cruise. It was so soft. Any specifics on it like payment and how to get it to the DISers? I will try to check in more. Oh and, my DH never wears his so we would only need one. Thanks to whoever!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sandy! WELCOME!!

Let me know how lanyards you'd be interested in....trying to get an idea of how many we'd need then will come the question as to if several of us go in on this together (for a group FE gift) or each pay for their own.

Sandy, I know Jan had about 5 PMs that wouldn't 'process', so maybe yours was on of those. So glad you checked in at the perfect moment! :thumbsup2
