More good surprises for me...
Last week I found out my sister and nephew booked this cruise without even knowing that we're on it.

Yesterday I found out we had been switched to main dining (we had asked to be on waitlist.)

Today I found out that my sister's SIL who is a Castway member and is sharing a room with my sister booked a Palo dinner AND brunch for them and US! Yay! I don't even know which days and times yet, but I'm so excited!

We'll definately participate, but have a "guarantee" ressie, so won't know our room for a while.

What happens if we or another participant upgrade our room at the port?

I have returned from making the universe a healthier place.


Door signs ... not sure if we'll have any this time or not. I haven't made up my mind. The Panama ones are loooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnng gone. If I did any, I would use my the same cheapo method I used last time. I'm not going to shell out for the magnetic sheets.


I don't know what I would put up on the door anyway. I really have nothing to say.

About the only thing I can think of is this:

I'll be happy to put a lump of coal in your FE.

If anyone is interested in an FE exchange please let me know how many children, adults, and room number if you have it. We can use the cutoff date of July 12 for those who want to participate. I can then send the list to everyone. If you don't know the room number (like me) I will get the final room rouster closer to ship time. This is my first one.

How wonderful! Do you also want the gender of the kids? Sometimes it helps when getting the FE gifts.

For port upgrades, that info can be shared at the 3PM DIS meet on embarkation day. So if you upgrade, make sure someone in your party makes it to the DISmeet to give out your new room number.

Jan...and the rest of you regular posters...what do you think about each of us taking a batch of people from the list and PMing them to see if they are still on the cruise and reminding them to check in if they want to be involved in any of the DIS related activities like FEs and laynards...???

Me too. I will be getting up at 5am, but not sure we will get a Palo ressie. That cruise is going to be quiet and relaxing all the way!!! Only 2 sea days so even less chance of getting a Brunch ressie.

Marilyn, I'm hoping if I can't get Palo then at least I'll be close to the front of the line to try out the first day of the cruise. I think we can get off and back on in fairly good time I'm also hoping for a relaxed week! I'm only booking excursions at 3 of the 4 ports

Kathe, we can check with Peg when she wakes up, but I'm sure she was able to book and excursion for herself (CC member) and her cabin mate (DH, first time cruiser) last night. And yes, she was able to book only Palo for the first time cruiser cabin that was linked to hers.

Yes, Peg is finally up! You will most DEFINATELY be able to book for BOTH of you this weekend. That CM must have been on drugs (or just totally misunderstood). If you had a separate cabin of newbies linked with you, you would only be able to book Palo for them, but no excursions.

It would be VERY funny if one of you gals got upgraded. Just so long as one of you is still in a sideways 11....because I want to SEE IT.

Thanks Jackie, and Peg That's what I was hoping to hear! I hadn't even asked the CM a question, she just told me the date I could book excursions, but said I could only book for myself and gave me the later date for Sara Oh well, sounds like it's all good!

I am hoping I keep the sideways cabin, unless I was to be offered a really great upgrade It would be nice if I was upgraded for the 2nd week as we are in a cat 12 so I'll have to pack up and move. I imagine the sideways is booked for that cruise , so I'm afraid I might get upgraded just to another cat 11 and that they will move me from the sideways so I can keep the same room.

Sounds fine to me. If they are not posting they could be lurking, they could have canceled or they could be not even on the DIS at all.

I think the message should be the same to all. Can we send one PM to everyone or would it be better to send them individually. Do you want to do some? I welcome assistance with phrasing. You can PM me or post it here, whichever you prefer.

I called DCL today to ask them about a last minute cruise, of course the woman "Candy" had NO Clue what I was asking..

Does anyone here know.. Do they do a discount or a Florida Resident rate for last minute cruises? We might jump on the July 2nd Wonder cause we will be in Florida. Do I call Wednesday? Do I look online? or do they not offer a last minute price anymore??
