I can't believe we missed that:
dancing with you:
:cool1::dance3::cheer2::banana:
party::dancer:
:flower3:

:bday: to Niko!!!! he's still a baby--no wonder he's sooo spoiled:rotfl:
:dogdance:

I love to dance so I have 4 days worth of dancing to catch up with, so.........

:banana::woohoo::dance3: and a BIG :woohoo:
What is wrong with you? You forgot the double digit dance? 4 days ago and you just now realized it? It's gotta be the extreme heat!:rotfl::rotfl:

Let me get a little boogie on with you  and a little cheer:cheer2: and a little stir the soup.:woohoo: and a hip hooray!:yay:

Happy Birthday to Niko! Oddball turned one on Hunter's birthday (May 24th). He even had his own piece of birthday cake.
I think you are right. It is the heat, my brain is frying. It is 79 degrees in my house and I have my A/C set on 70. I think I am going to go outside and get under the water hose :rotfl2:.

Thanks for dancing with me :dance3:

Oh, I forgot to mention that I found some of my Magic Kingdom photos on photobucket. I should be updating my report in just a bit.

Can't wait to see the pictures. Was it some of the ones you thought you had lost?

YAAAAAY double digits!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

:woohoo: oh yeah, I'm dancing, I'm dancing :woohoo:

Now, I'm just sweating :rotfl:.

:cutie:I just had to share...I just heard THUNDER does it mean we will get some rain??? (doubt it) it is currently storming about 7 mi to our west. But, the temps for 2morrrow is forcasted to be 103 THAT IS THE ACTUAL TEMP. I55 is actually buckeling today from the heat and we were w/o power for 1.5 hr today from the heat:scared:... I turned on the weather channel to see what was going on w/the clouds (our temp just fell to 89 according to them--I bet the dogs are happy).

anyway, I see ya'll are as hot as us... so maybe we should limit our dancing to early in the AM and late PM and just do some woohooing in the middle of the day :rotfl2:so as to not get heat stroke...

the only place we should all be is sitting at the beach in a pool or the gulf...:beach:
it is actually cooler in WDW than here...maybe we should all go back there:laughing:

Hey I have to agree, woooohooooos are in and dancing is out . It's too hot to even laugh hard. They had a vet on the news last night talking about how to take care of your pets in this heat. Of course Niko is an inside dog .

There are a few rain showers on the Eastern Shore but some strong storms in Pensacola area and Daupin Island. Over 200 lightening strikes :scared1:. I wish it would rain here. I can't believe I would even say that after Disney.

I think my A/C just took a breath. It is 97 now..........lol. But the heat index is still 100. We beat a record for the high today it was 101 today and it was 100 in 1881. I need to finish my laundry, but I am going to wait until later to turn the dryer on :laundy:. I thought we lived in the South, NOT South Hades.

I wish I was pool side AT Disney right now.

OK, so here is the dilemma. I have got to decide on another restaurant or two. I have been reading some reviews of Narcoossee's and they are not the most favorable. I don't want to have a check for over $300-$400 dollars and the food and service not be good. I know it is free dining but it is the principle. Dale just isn't much on this type of restaurant anyway and I really want our anniversary dinner to be nice. SO here is the list I have compiled

The Wave(lunch)
O'hana (dinner)
The Plaza (lunch or dinner)
Coral Reef (dinner)
Garden Grill (dinner)
Sci-Fi(dinner)
Captain's Grille(lunch or dinner)
ESPN(lunch or dinner)

That way we will have some backups too. I like the idea of staying right around the parks or on the monorail route. We will leave but it just makes it easier. We are going to eat at Big River Grille so we will have to leave the parks for that. I just think it makes the DDP easier if we eat where we are. I know I am not making any sense:rolleyes1. I have just been thinking I would rather have 2 dinners for the price of one.

Dana, You are totally making sense to me. I plan the same way. I have Ohana booked as my backup in case the luau gets rained out. I don't think I've heard anything really bad about Ohana and I want to check out the Polynesian too.

We've eaten at the Plaza before and it wasn't anything really special. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad at all. It's just that I didn't feel we got our money's worth since we were on the dining plan.

On our Magic Kingdom days, we are going to Chef Mickey's for dinner on day one and on day two we are going to Whispering Canyon. Never tried either of these but hope they'll be okay since they are in close proximity to Magic Kingdom.

We have eaten at Coral Reef and at Garden Grill. The kids really like Garden Grill and it's a good solid meal that everyone enjoys. It doesn't hurt that it has characters either. John and I had a fantastic meal at Coral Reef. Hunter ordered the pizza and said it was good.

Sci Fi is our favorite Hollywood Studios restaurant. We have eaten dinner there three years in a row and haven't had a bad meal yet. Love the atmosphere.

Sorry, but I can't help you out with Captain's Grille or ESPN as we haven't tried either of these yet.

You've got quite a lot of noisy restaurants there! We've been to Ohana, The Plaza, Coral Reef, Sci-fi and ESPN, and of those, Coral Reef is the only one I'd consider for an anniversary dinner (assuming you want something at least a little romantic). The Plaza has good food, but a very casual cafe atmosphere. Sci-fi is really cool, but the seating in the cars makes conversation a little difficult. ESPN was cool too, but loud. And Ohana with the kids' activities can just be nuts.

The Wave or Captain's Grill would probably be good, since the non-character, non-themed resort restaurants tend to be a little quieter. Not on your list, but one we really enjoyed was Kona at the Poly - the food and service have been good both times we've been there, and while it isn't really quiet because it is open to the Poly lobby, it is quiet by Disney 1TS standards, you know? And for a little extra romance, if you time your reservation right you can walk down to the beach to watch Wishes after dinner.

Now, remember I can't help on reviews but looking over your list I like what you have listed the only places that I think I would like to try that seem quiet would be:
The Brown Derby
The Flying Fish
Jiko and
Tutto
oh and the mexican one in World Showcase (that does not seem too quiet)
and everyone always raves about Tony's

Good Luck!

I'm glad I am making sense. It is tough making all the plans knowing I am going to be responsible if it all goes downhill........:sad2:.

I want to try O'hana just because I love going to the Poly and Dallas likes Stitch so that would be fun. The food on the menu is iffy with my picky guys, but I think Dale could eat the steak and 'taters.

We liked the Plaza last year, but you are right it was not over the top great. The strawberry chicken salad was really good. We have never had dinner at Chef Mickey's but I was so disappointed when we went for breakfast last month I am not in a hurry to go back.

I have always wanted to eat at Coral Reef so we could see the divers, and if they have pizza we would be just fine. Dallas is going to be ordering off the kids menu anyway even though he will be on the adult plan.

We really like Sci Fi, but we have never eaten dinner there, and with there being 3 of us one of us would have to sit alone.

I liked Kona last year, but Dale said it reminded him of Woolworth's........:lmao: I may still sneak that one in on him because Dallas loved the Kona Kone. And that is a great idea about Wishes, Thanks. I hadn't really thought about that. Captain's Grille looks like it would be about the same as Narcoossee's, but not nearly as expensive and it has better reviews. I think we are going to do MNSSHP on Sept 29th and I want to eat at Grand Floridian Cafe that night. I swear until I can make my ADRs I feel like my planning is stagnant.

Hey! I'm checking back in. It has been hot today here in Alabama!! I also do like you and do my laundry at night. It does make a big difference in my house.

Out of the places that you have mentioned, I would choose either 'Ohana or Coral Reef. The Coral Reef may be a tad bit more romantic but 'Ohana might be more fun. We are going to be celebrating ours at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella & the Prince. (Don't laugh!!) Mainly because the kids will be with us and I love the setting there. What ever you choose to do, it will be fun and very special. It is what you make it. :goodvibes

I don't know if I would like Brown Derby. I know the Cobb salad is suppose to be great, but it doesn't look very appetizing to me. We ate at San Angel Inn in 2005 and I liked it, but of course Roger didn't........:lmao:. We are going to eat at Tony's for sure(well if I can get the ADR) they have some very good food there. I wonder if I could make an ADR there the night we go to MNSSHP? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Who else is going to MNSSHP? Is anybody going to wear a costume? I found a really cute Ariel costume but Dale does not want me to wear a costume. Has anybody done the face painting? What is the cost? That may be a option to a costume. Dallas says he wants me to wear a costume though.

Glad to see you back :thumbsup2. Yes is was hot here today. I have been trying to keep the doors closed and stay inside but I do have to take poor Niko out and he looks at me like I am crazy when I ask him if he wants to go outside :rotfl2:. My poor grass is crunchy. My dryer is going right now as I finish my last load. I just quit last night because I was tired of laundry.

I'm not laughing, I thought about 1900 PF. Yeah the romantic thing is not so important because Dallas will be with us too. You are right, it will just be fun being together.

I really think the appeal of Narcoosees is mostly the lobster. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our meal there, but there's a big divide in how we'd review it based on what we ordered. DH & DS, who love lobster, would rank it as one of the best meals we've had at Disney, if not the absolute best. DD & I, who don't eat lobster, liked it but liked a couple other signature restaurants better.

I think that's the night we're going to MNSSHP too, but I won't buy tickets until my ADRs are made and I know we don't have to switch things up. I'm right there with you feeling like the planning is at a stand still until the ADRs are made. I don't even want to start working on park plans until we know that we're not going to be rearranging days and what time our breakfast/lunch ADRs are for.

We're going, but I'm not going to dress up. The kids will, but the girls are having some decision-making issues about what DD7 wants them to be... Right now, it'll either be Fairies (DD7 as Tink, DD1 as Fawn) or Princesses (DD7 as Cinderella or Aurora or Jasmine, she can't make up her mind, and DD1 as Ariel as a mermaid) or a Pirate League appointment for the big kids and <gasp> me being allowed to choose DD1's costume. :rotfl: They can't decide if they want to do the makeup of Pirates League in the heat or just go with the kind of lightweight costumes like Tink/Jasmine/Ariel that they can't really do in the cold here at home.

Hi all,
Sept seems like such a long way off, but short at the same time. It's just getting to be summer here in Mich. We just hit 90 for the first time. Winter lasted forever and it didn't seem like we had a spring. So, for me Sept can take it's sweet time because I know winter is right around the corner..Hee hee. We have always gone at Christmas time so this early fall trip will be a first.

I like lobster too, and you are not going to believe this, but Dale has never eaten lobster :scared1:. He just won't try new stuff. I'm waiting to buy my MNSSHP for the same reason. I don't want to be running around like crazy going from place to place.

If Dallas didn't want me to dress up I wouldn't. I may just do something simple that can be changed from regular clothing to costume. It is easier to find costumes for girls than for boys though. I don't know what Dallas will be because we don't want to do anything that is going to be too hot. I would love to do the First Mates package for Dallas, but I don't think he would like it. He doesn't sit still very well.....:rotfl2:

:welcome: Thanks for coming over here.

Yes, September does seem like a long time off. Especially knowing July and August are the hottest months here :scared1:. We have been under heat advisories all week so I am really looking forward to fall.

I want to go at Christmas time. I really want to see the decorations. We bought annual passes in May so we may take a long weekend around Christmas so we can see it.

Your trip is fast approaching :thumbsup2.

My DS is letting me off easy. He wants to by Wolverine. I can buy everything he needs at any KMart! :thumbsup2 I'll probably end up making the girls' costumes, depending on what DD7 chooses. If she wants a princess, I'll order her dress from the same place I got the Aurora dress for our last trip, because they're as good as home made in terms of quality and not terribly expensive. I'm pretty sure I'll have to make the baby's costume, just because it is hard to find the kinds of costumes we're planning in infant sizes, but one out of three isn't bad.

Congrats on your anniversary, so far it sounds like a great trip! We'll be going that same week, staying in Movies ... looking forward to seeing the rest of your plans!

:welcome: Thanks about our anniversary and for coming over. I want Sunday to hurry up and get here so I can make my ADRs and get on with the planning. Are you celebrating anything this trip? What are your plans for ADRS? I will update all of that Sunday.

Hey Dana Congratulations on your 22nd anniversary! My husband and I have never been to Disney before and we are going to be going on September 28th 2009 until October 5 2009 we can not wait We are also celebrating our Anniversary but its only our 2nd but its going to be our Special one seeing We never got to have a honeymoon and also did nothing for our 1st Anniversary all due to money. My husband is a very picky eater also and I can not take it seeing that every menu I have looked at for a Sit down restaurant so far he wont eat anything on the menu. I am having a hard time finding a Romantic restaurant we can get dressed up and go to one evening.
