I finally got around to writing and posting my trip report. It's rather long and includes a lot of pictures, so rather than report it here, I'll just link to where I have it posted:

What a great trip report!

Sounds like the whole family had a great time!

You mentioned that your daughter loves fish, have you ever taken her to Jenkinson's Aquarium in Pt. Pleasant Beach? I know it is a bit aways from Edison, but that place is great for little kids.

And I agree, your daughter is absolutely adorable.

My parents are actually building a house on the beach in Point Pleasant, right down the street from Jenks!!

I went to the aquarium for the first time just last year, and we were going to go with her probably early next year. She just loves fish, etc., so she should get a kick out of it. Plus, once my parent's house is finished, she'll be fortunate to be able to grow up on the beach and boardwalk (Although I will chain her to the radiator rather than let her go to the Tiki Bar or Jenks club!)

Thank you also for the compliments about her. I call her... "mini-me"

That's too funny. I work at Jenk's club! For about 7 years now. I started in the pizza stand and now am assistant manager in the restaurant!

They are redoing the penguin exhibit right now, so by next summer, I guess it will look all different. I'm sure you all will have a great time there.

Lou, Just wanted to thank you for your awesome report. I felt like I was there! I love the pics of you as a boy and your daughter at the Magic Kingdom. I have similar pictures of myself, one when I was 5 and the other on my honeymoon at 20. I'm wearing my Mickey ears and they are tilted to the right just a little. I didn't even know about my 5 year old picture until I got home from my honeymoon and showed pictures to my mom. She was so excited and has both pictures blown up and sitting side by side on her desk at work. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter that loves all things Disney and I can't wait to take her to WDW for a crooked Mickey ears picture! Take Care. Elizabeth ºoº

That was one of the best trip reports I have ever read. Just the right balance of detail and humor!!! And I just love how you call Deanna and Marion your "girls". How cute. You guys are an adorable family. Thanks for the report.
Oh- and I will be bringing my book down with me in a few weeks. I can't wait to take some pictures of it around the world and post them on your site.

Thank you all for the nice things you have to say about the trip report, and I'm so happy you enjoyed it!

I hope it shows now only how much I love WDW and how it makes me into that little boy all over again each time I go, but how important making new memories with my family means to me.

I enjoyed reading your report and I really enjoyed your website. I had a blast playing with the pixie dust deal at the top. I'm just that brand of "aw shucks" that thinks that kind of stuff is cool.

We took our little girl to Disney World right after she turned one and had a great time with her. Like you, I couldn't wait to see how she would react to her dad's favorite place. We took her back again this past April for her 2d birthday. She loved it. I mention that only because there were scores of naysayers who told us she'd never remember any part of her first trip there and we were foolish for taking her "so young." My standard response to those Disney scrooges was to point out that remembering the event is not the test. In other words, if we never did anything because she wouldn't (theoretically) remember it, then we wouldn't have celebrated her first Christmas, first birthday or even talked to her at all until she was 5.

I'm adding your site to my bookmarked sites of Disneyfix must reads.

Thanks to you all for taking the time to post about the report. I'm happy to see that you enjoyed it. Quite a different, yet wonderful experience taking your own child. She just turned one the other day (Mickey's B'day, actually), and we can't wait to go back in a few weeks for MouseFest. When she sees Mickey (we had all kinds of Micket stuff for her party), she gets all excited and waves, smiles and tries her best to say "Mickey". Priceless!!
