Sept trip (new AP's)

Knowing we were going to head down multiple times this year. We bought our AP's before the price increase. The last AP I had was in 2008, but with our 2 kids (DD 4 and DS 1.5) we are excited to share Disneyland with them this year. We were thinking about staying on site. If not we have a back up reservation at the Desert Inn.
The problem, I can not access the AP website until I activate our passes, which will not be until we go. Can you book the hotels at an AP general rate or code without having a valid AP at the time. (It has been awhile since I have done this) Also is there an AP code avaiable for September yet?

Congrats on your APs!

The AP rates through October are up on the site. It is the same code, APH. Since your APs aren't activated, you will have to call and ask for the discount. It is my understanding that they check the AP upon arrival.

Can you book the hotels at an AP general rate

Yes. Just call Disney Reservations line and tell them you have an AP and want the AP rates. They will book it no problem. They won't need your AP card number or any proof.

You WILL need to show your AP when you check-in, and technically it's supposed to be activated BEFORE check-in. So make sure when you arrive that you visit a Guest Services location to get your AP activated before going to the hotel. Some people will say there are ways around it (like just talk to the front desk and tell them you will get it activated after check-in) but I like to avoid that and do it the right way.

As far as I know there are no codes right now, just standard AP rates. The rates do appear to be cheaper than the travel sites have right now, so do AP rates if you can.
