Sept / Oct 2011

7 sleeps for us. I have started having weird plane dreams - I hate flying.

We are still 27 sleeps (think I'm the last in this group aren't I?) but at least we are under 30 :cool1:

Can you imagine how quiet it is going to be on our forum with all of you gone :scared1: I will miss you but hope you all have a fantastic time :cheer2:

We're 21 sleeps - I totally get it.

:thanks:I would like to THANKYOU Kylieh, for starting this thread Sept/Oct :flower3:

Did you ever think it would get over 22,534 views and 843 posts.....

You're a legend :disrocks:

I totally agree and thanks so much from me too Kylieh :flower3:

Thank you both so much. I never expected it to get so big! Most my posts slip into <10 replies or views :rotfl: I think this one has made up for it :rotfl2:

I actually read these two posts last night and it's a nice pick me up - I'm ok-ish now, but last night I fell down the stairs and was in no state to reply! We were worried I broke I arm (FIL was there, he is a senior first aider) but some sleep thank you Panadene Forte, and the bruising has started to appear and swelling gone down, my lower arm is and upper thigh are still both very sore, is going to be black from bruising. My lower arm took the most of impact on that bit of fat just near the elbow it hit where the 90 deg angle of the stair is IYKWIM.

DH was saying to me "if it's broken you can get Mickey to sign your cast." I was thinking "I don't want to lose my emergency row seating..." :rotfl2:

I agree, thanks Kylieh :thumbsup2 and I hope your arm/leg come right soon! Crossing everything there are no fractures too!!

I am back from our week long Australian cruise, but not up to much Disboarding because the EARTH IS STILL MOVING! And I don't like it!! I didn't get seasick at all and adjusted to the ship really quickly, but we got off this morning and everything's been all wobbly since and it's not a nice feeling. On the boat, it's supposed to be wobbly, but on land it's not so I feel queasy now! Hopefully will wake up a bit more normal tomorrow morning. Everywhere I walk, it's like the ground is moving up and down, and as I type this it's as if my chair is leaning backward lol. I feel like this guy rolling around but I'm not laughing about it, ha ha! :rotfl:

I got my endess.com shoes before I left (I've probably already said that lol) and they were great to wear out to the beaches up north etc! I've also received my refund for the wrong shoes I was sent by the Amazon store, and details on how to get the shipping refunded from them, so although that experience was annoying, I'm really impressed with how efficiently they are dealing with it for me. Hopefully should be completely refunded in the next day or two.

Time to post so I can see how many days are in my countdown...

Thank you. Feeling a bit better tonight. Ended up very lucky considering. We went down the medical centre as my left arem was about twice as big as my right, very painful, and pins and needles. Xray showed no breaks. I've been resting it, pain killers and ice today. The swelling has come down a lot and I've got some shape returning. There are bruises coming out on my other arm and I didn't even think I had hurt that side! Lots of other smaller annoying pains elsewhere, but that's enough about me....

Hopefully you will get your land legs back soon. Glad to hear you got the drama sorted about the shoes too.

I hope your feeling a hell of a lot better, and next time get the minions to carry whatever it was down the stairs for you.........I too am in constant fear of breaking/spraining/rashing/ bloating and general uncoolness happening to me in the next 11 days.......:rotfl:

OBTW: have you people looked oout your windows today...what a fantastic day it is out there............ok, back to internet :)

get healthy soon :wizard:

KylieH I hope you are starting to feel better!
Another lovely day today...3 sleeps for us:banana:

Kylieh- I hope you're doing ok, that would have been scary!! Especially the possibility of missing out on your exit row seating :lmao:

3 weeks today for us, my laptop has packed it in so I'm stuck on my iPad and it's annoying me, so I'm reading lots but not replying sorry.

I get you AussieMumma, typing on that iPad can become painful!

The weather here in Sydney is lovely - and we have some Welsh friends who are leaving tonight to move back to Wales - taking all 5 kids back to live after being here for 3 1/2 years. They are so sad to leave - and this weather is NOT making it any easier for them to go.

Sydney is truly divine right now....glad we aren't going anywhere too wet or cold or it would be a big shame.

So my son played in his AFL grand final on the weekend - sadly they lost, but the good news is we finished the season (1 plays league, 1 plays AFL, 1 plays Netball) with no injuries !!!!

Touch wood - everyone will be fit and able bodied for all that WDW walking!!!

Also, I finished equal first in my office football tipping comp :woohoo: $175 for me - (is there something sus about this, I am the comp manager in a place full of blokes and have won the comp three out of five years by only picking the favourites, I have no real clue about football :rotfl::rotfl:)

Anyway I plan to book myself in for a cut and colour this week so will be all set to go!!!

Thanks all - starting to return to normal. Think I'll be back on dinner duty tonight :sad2: more bruising is starting to appear. Still needing pain killers, but will be ok before we go.

Speaking of which, 19 sleeps to go!!!

Kylieh, I just hope that you didn't cook anything that required too much stirring! We ALL need to stay injury free! :goodvibes

Batty mum, I was thinking about your son's grand final, good about no injuries - bad about the result  DS's step brother lost his soccer grand final in the final seconds of the game.....ouch! :headache:

As for tipping competitions, I don't even bother, I always tip with my heart and my beloved Parramatta Eels were practically useless this year - so I know better than to even enter one! ;). Therefore, I will be paying for my own hairdo next Tuesday! :sad2:

PS......check it out, Tink's butt has completely cleared the second last teacup! :yay::yay::yay:
