Karen these are the instructions that I followed today and that worked for me on your countdown thread:

"Set up an online hosting account, like www.photobucket.com. It's free, works very well here with the boards, many use it.

Once set up, just follow the steps on that site to upload a picture, or pictures. Once uploaded, just go back to where you can see your pictures in your photobucket album and do a single left mouse click on the line of code that has IMG Code words before it (just click on the code itself, once). ** That will copy all that is needed to make the picture show up here, including any necessary code tags (do not add anything). Come back here, go to a post, single right mouse click and select paste. That's it!! Do a preview, see how it looks. If good, then post."

Thank you all for reminding me to start my online shopping! I can't believe I have been so distracted as to forget...

Safe travels everyone. Have a great trip and I look forward to all the TRs that you're all *planning* on writing when you return....:thumbsup2

Hey,

Just a reminder about Bed bugs......for both Disney resorts, cruises and other hotels:
1. check your mattresses before you unpack, then if there is a sign of them you can change rooms.[look for blood stains on the sides and along the seams]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Kk7i2eiufA
2. never leave opened suitcases on the floor, keep them closed at all times.
3. If in doubt, call housekeeping immediately, as you def don't want to be bringing these things home.

Disney does a great job trying to keep them at bay, but every now and then they slip thru the net.

better to be safe than sorry........now try not to scratch :rotfl2:

Ohh yes, this is one of our arrival rituals anywhere we go., even before a suitcase is opened or delivered to our room. DD sighs every time, and I say I don't feel like being bitten or taking them home!

Actually at night at home and everywhere we go DD and I have our own little ritual carried over from my own mum, and probably her mum... Well, the first line is.

Me: Kiss goodnight, don't let the bed bugs bite
DD: There are no bedbugs
Me: Then they can't bite! :)

just show the DD the youtube video I put in the post, she'll be looking for them before you even step in the room....:rolleyes1

That is a really good YouTube on looking for them, probably one of the better ones. For everyone else, don't worry it's not a gross out video, its on what to look for, how they appear, what the eggs look like, etc.

Thanks so much for the Bedbugs reminder! I'm sure that I would have forgotten after arriving at POR jet-lagged and desparate for bed. I have just emailed DH the instuctions so that hopefully, between the two of us, one of us will remember! :lmao:

yep..I am the angel of doom:littleangel:

i plan for the worst and enjoy it when things dont go pear shaped too often..

note to self: dont go running in 40c heat with 100% humidity...bad case of prickly heat....

ok..14 days, 21 hours to go

I have an Amazon "wish list" that I keep adding to, so far I have body glide, moleskin, dramamine, purex washing sheets, a pop up laundry hamper, an over the door shoe holder, bandaids, luggage scales - I will have to review it and I guess send it off next week! Cant believe its that close!

Will probably add some snacks and water - its difficult when you dont know brands - I dont really want to pack shampoo and stuff in my luggage, but I dont know what brand to buy. I will also add a couple of cheap cell phones.

You've all got me going now..I'll have all my trip money spent by the time I've finished with my list!

I am excited - ok, 22 sleeps to go. It's a bit compared to a lot around here. BUT

I AM GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!

My work and Qantas have a joint promotion, to launch at my work there has been Qantas stuff everywhere, and not just posters. And a little promo toys have been left on our desks, and a giant model 767 outside. Topped off with a beautiful spring day.

Yes, Yes, Yes.

I am finally really really excited.

Today being the 1st of September means that we are going to Disneyworld THIS MONTH!! :cool1:  We have 27 sleeps to go and FINALLY everyone in my house is excited and not just me!! :rotfl2:

Exactly......we are going away THIS month!!! :cool1:

15 sleeps for us, and about 7000 things to get done between now and then! Not to worry, in the words of the the great Jon Bon Jovi - I'll sleep when I'm dead! (or when I'm home from WDW)! ;)

Ok I think we are all packed. Just one day of work for me, hubby is on holidays and I gave my 3 the day off school tomorrow so technically they are all on holidays except for me :cool2:

My ticker is slightly out as we are now heading to Sydney overnight then heading to LA on Monday morning. Still feels very surreal that it is so close as we have been planning this trip for a year.

Hubby is so excited he is bouncing off the walls. :rotfl:

I've got 16 sleeps.
Is it too soon to pack?:confused3

Never too soon! I have our Halloween costumes packed. Oh *$%#@ I just realised I haven't purchased DH's lab coat for Halloween (he is going as Dr Doofenschmirtz (sp?) from Phineas and Ferb. Off to eBay I go.
