Can you give me some feedback on this itinerary, pls? Travelling w/DH, DD7, DD6, DS3; staying Poly Conc. 9/27-10/4 w/UPH; celebrating 6 y.o.'s Bday:

Mon. 9/27 - early flight from Boston; pool, 5:30 PS at O'Hana's, 8 pm Wishes from Poly

9/28 - 8:05 CP PS B'fast, MK until 12 ish; pool/lunch/break at Poly; MK for dinner, 8 pm Spectro, 9 pm Wishes

9/29 - Epcot EE; pool/lunch/break at Poly; MGM 4ish, 5 pm PS at 50's PTC, 8 pm Fantasmic

9/30 - MK EE, 10 am PS CRT; pool/break 12-4ish; Epcot and Illum at 9pm

10/1 - AK EE until 2ish; Poly for break, no dinner plans

10/2 - MGM EE; pool break mid-day; HDDR PS 5 pm

10/3 - Pool or Waterpark (any advice where I'm travelling w/3 sm. kids, is it worth it???), MNSSHP

10/4 - Pool or final trip to MK, Depart mid-afternoon

Specific questions - Waterpark or not? Enough breaks for little ones (doubt they'll nap)? Reasonable amount of time in each park? Too much/too little 1st 2 days (worried about that early am departure 6:30 am)? Is 5:30 PS at O'Hana's too early for the "festivities" there?

Thanks everyone; you're all so helpful!!!

We always avoid the EE days and go to a different park instead but you shouldn't have any problems in late September.

The only other thing I may change is the amount of time at Animal Kingdom. It gets very, very, very hot and humid there by noon. My DH and I can never stay past 12:00 and we don't have any kids!!!!

I can't comment on the waterparks because I have never been :o

Have a great time!!!!!

It looks fine to me, but I haven't gone with my kids yet! We'll be arriving the day before you, and we have similar plans!

Steph

The kids will love the water parks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We normally go to Blizzard Beach, but this year we are trying out Typhoon Lagoon.
You have a lot of EE scheduled- I only scheduled one (traveling with six kids- 13, 12, 10, 6, 4, 2) I am worried about being there on time on that one day (not the younger ones the older ones). As long as your kids are early risers, you should have no problem.

We have been several times, including last September, with our 3 yo son. We usually skip all the EE days except for the MK one. We find the EE parks get crowded quickly although not too badly in September. MGM and Epcot only have a few things open for small children during EE so it wasn't worth our while. We found AK got very crowded on EE days but not so much on other days. We usually go to the park that had an early entry the day before.

One piece of advice, if you do the water ride at AK, schedule it as your last thing or bring a change of clothing- we did it first and my son and I got soaked! Also, the AK has a GREAT dinosaur play area for the kids. It is several stories high and had tons of tunnel slides and rope bridges to climb. My son was in heaven. Any other questions, feel free to ask.
We loved the Poly for the location, great with kids and my son thinks the monorail is a ride in itself.

Whoops, forgot a couple of answers. No, 5:30 is not too early for O'Hanas. We ate around this time last September. My son loved the food they served (although you can order off a different menu for kid's meals if you have finicky kids). He loved the coconut races and the gummy worms for his reward.

I tend to plan things out like you do, but I find when we get there we tend to always change things around. Concierge is great about cancelling and making new priority seatings for you. We did find taking a break and having a nice sit down lunch around noon was great and then going back to the hotel for a rest was nice. Our son would take a rest (no naps - would hear the whistle from the train station and pop up) and be ready to go back to the parks for a little bit in the evening. A couple of places we enjoyed eating and have good kid meals: Plaza Restaurant in MK, SciFi at MGM for lunch (great burgers) and our son got a glow in the dark ice cube drink and a glow in the dark frisbee under his lunch, and Whispering Canyon has great lunches too. We also loved Chef Mickey's for breakfast (celebrated my husband's 40th birthday there in May); trying it this coming Septmeber for dinner.

Thx so much for the helpful advice! I think I'll chg our plans and only do MK EE as suggested and probably do 2 mornings at AK to get out before it gets too hot. Will definitely be flexible once there, but I like to have a plan in hand. The SciFi sounds great for the kids, may try to fit that in while at the Studios. Since we arrive by noon, should we try to fit in some time at one of the parks on Monday? I know kids will be chomping at the bit to see the Mouse, but I don't want to overdo it due to early flight. I also hate to waste a UPH ticket!!!! Same goes for waterpark - to do or not do? Kids are 7, 6, and 3 and not huge thrill seekers by any means. Think they'll be content w/Poly pool for the week or do we go simply b/c it's paid for??? Finally, been toying w/HDDR.... Worth the time and expense for my kids' ages and since I only just booked it 90 days out, will we have lousy seats and then not enjoy ourselves? Thanks again everyone, you are the best!!!
