Sept is almost here!! Daily updates & My sister is there!!

So it's the next day and I sure did sleep good last night. :cloud9: I went to WalMart this morning to pick up a few things and I bought a binder. I am going to decorate it and kind of scrap book the Disney trip for my mom, like her planner. My sister is going the week before us so she will get some park maps for it. I am planning all of their meals and everything else so I thought it would be neat to have something like that. We will be celebrating her Birthday while we are there, at O'hana. I found some cute stickers for that. :goodvibes Anyway, It will give me something to do to stay busy & have fun at the same time.

If anyone has done this and have any ideas to share with me, please do. :)

I got free dining!!!!! :cool1::woohoo::dance3: I am so excited. I was up at 4:55 this morning and on the boards. Some one here posted the link around 5:20 and I went online before they opened and booked a new trip with free dining. Then I was on the phone with Disney at 6:00 to change my mom & dad's over to free dining. They ended up adding free dining to my existing reservation and canceling the one that I booked online. I was just covering myself just in case.:thumbsup2

So.... now it's official, and I saved 1367.44. That's a lot of money. It's time to celebrate!!!:dance3:

My mom & dad saved 319.92 on the four days that they will be there. My sister & her DH saved over 900.00 and my BFF saved 720.00. We are all happy campers today!!:yay::yay::yay:

That's awesome! So glad you all got it! I wish we could go during free dining but I'm one of "those moms" that won't take my kids out of school. Here in KY you only get 9 days with a parent note until you have to go to court so it's more protecting my butt than anything else.

Subbing! :)

You're leaving Disney on my birthday! boooo! :) Our trips only overlap by a day...I'm going the 26th to the 3rd.

As for your camera...all you have to do is buy an extra memory card/memory stick for it. I usually carry around 2 of them with me when I'm away. They're fairly cheap nowadays. I've seen 4GB ones for $20! That'll hold a LOT more photos than 300!

Yay! I was hoping you'd get it!!! :thumbsup2 Congratulations!

Kathy

Thank you!1 I still can't believe it! :lmao: I have pulled our reservations up several times to make sure that it is still there. :rotfl2:

I know what you mean. I was a little worried about taking them out but they get 5 parent notes per semester so they should be fine. Plus, if they are ever sick I take them to the DR. so it shouldn't be a big deal. It is something to consider though. I just couldn't pass up saving 1364.00.

YES!! That is exactly what I need. I'm not sure of the best place to find one but I have 5 more months to look for one. It shouldn't be to hard, right?

I am getting more and more excited every day. I have done good on my diet so far. I lost four pounds last week but I have stayed the same this week, even working out and watching what I eat. I'm not giving up, I only have 15 more to be at my goal weight of 125. Although I would really LOVE to lose 20. :rotfl2: Let us all pray. :worship:

finding a memory card defintiely won't be hard. Amazon will definitely have the best prices (at least that's been my luck every time I need something camera related!)!

We are going to be driving down from Alabama. We will be staying off site our first night and checking in that Sunday, the 11th. Normally when we get there we chill for a little while and then go to DTD. It really gets us excited for the next day.

Since you getting the free dining promotion, would it be cheaper or comparable to get into POR on Saturday? You would pay the $150 or so for the room and get an extra day of free dining for your family... minus the cost of the off site room and food you would have paid OOP.:confused3

HI! I added that Saturday because of getting the free dining, but now we will drive down sometime that Friday afternoon. I don't think that we will make it all of the way to Orlando, but possibly to Ocala. We can't leave Alabama until the kids get out of school, but I may check them out around 2:00 or so. This way we can be most of the way there and just get up early Saturday and be there to check in by 7:30 or 8:00 and hopefully hit the park before it opens. I am all about being there before the park opens. :rotfl2: I get upset if we are late.

It's funny, but at Disney eight days goes by so fast, I don't want to miss one single minute.

So it's FRIDAY!!! Thank goodness. :goodvibes I will be spending the day with my BFF getting ready for a yard sale. :headache::lmao: I hate to have them, but we have a room full of furniture that I want to sale.

Wish me luck!!:goodvibes

Well, I spent half of the day getting ready for the yard sale and the other half in the Dr's office with my son. His tummy was hurting and after an xray, blood & a urine sample we were told that he was FOS. (full of sxxt):lmao: In other words, he hasn't been to the bathroom in several days so his tummy hurt. Geez. I wish he had told me that, but I should have asked I guess. :rotfl2:Oh well, she gave him something that should make him feel better soon. I guess we will have to stay around the house this weekend. :lmao:

Back to the sale.... :headache:

It's Monday and the kids are back in school. Wow, what a weekend. We had the yard sale and I made 365.00, plus my mom made 50.00 & my friend made 150.00. Over all, we had a great turnout. :thumbsup2 It was one of the easiest yard sales that I have ever had. We sat up early and we were done by noon.

At the end when we were cleaning up, a lady came by and she said that they were having a yard sale in a couple of weeks for the cancer society so I donated most of what was left to her so I didn't have to haul it off to Goodwill. It was great. :goodvibes

So I have started on my Mom's Disney book for her birthday. My stepdad is giving her a surprise trip, but I am planning everything for him. So I bought a white binder that you can slip paper into on the front. I sort of scrapbooked a sheet for the front, the side & back are just in the same paper. I think it turned out cute. It's simple but cute. Inside I am putting together all of her information that she will need. I have it in sections. I did did this on word, but I have not printed it yet. I'll have to wait until we get everything confirmed, like the ADR times & such. I can't wait for her to see it.

I didn't go to the gym today. :headache:I'll start back in the morning. I am also going to start going to the tanning bed tomorrow. I am so white. Give me a wig & a dress and I could pass as Snow White. :rotfl2:

I feel like I am at a stand still until June and the park hours come out. :worship::rotfl2: I have been having the worst time trying to plan out our days. It's hard because my BFF is not going to have hopper passes and I would like to spend the "day" with them. I am also trying to get a plan for her too so that she has something to go by, not that she has to do it or anything, just a guide. I don't think that she is to concerned about it so it should be fine.

In my eight days at Disney, I only have us going to Animal Kingdom once. Is that crazy? I really feel like it is better this way, but at the same time, I am concerned. The only thing that they would want to go back & do would be Everest, and possibly the Nemo Musical again. I'll just play that by ear I guess. :rolleyes1

Time is passing by sooooo slowwww.

We are only doing 1 day at AK and DHS but 2 each at MK and EP. I finally got The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2009 and was able to look up the best days for the parks when we are going to be there and it worked out great.

You made me feel better about it. I really need to go buy the 2009 book. I have had the same one since 06. I am surprised that it had held up that long. :rotfl2: My BFF has it right now so I am kind of lost without it.

This sounds great! You are eating at a few places that we have never tried, like Cape May & Tusker House. I have never had the Tonga Toast either but I have heard that it is wonderful. This will be our first trip to 'Ohana and I can't wait!!:yay:

I didn't plan any breakfast ADR's because my kids just don't eat breakfast foods like they should. We normally just grab a poptart or something in the room & eat lunch around 11:00 each day.

I think that your plans sound great! I normally try to avoid EMH's too because we got trapped in this once at HS and it was awful. With my friend not having hoppers, I am not sure what to do. I want her to be able to see & do as much as she can, so I have got to talk to her about it. We are going to sit down next week and try to figure out what she wants to do.

We have never been to MNSSHP either, but it looks like a lot of fun. I would do it if it wasn't so much more money for all of us. I'm still on the fence about it. Are you going to dress up too? I have seen that a lot of the parents do dress up. :thumbsup2

We love the Coral Reef and WCC, but I have not tried the other places yet. Have you ever been to LeCellier at Epcot? I hear that it is wonderful, so we are trying it along with 'Ohana for the first time. I can't wait. :woohoo:

It's so much fun to plan!!:dance3:

I'm on the fence about MNSSHP too. I would love to go but I wonder how my little one would do with being up so late then getting up so early in the morning and the price is causing me to think twice too. I think we might wait a few years to do it. I have never been to any TS rest. only counterservice so I'm totally looking forward to trying all the different places. I might end up changing Biergarten for Garden Grill just because I don't know how everyone else will like it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE German food but everyone else in my family has their taste buds on idle so we will see. I would love to try LeCellier but maybe next year. I think I'm more about the food than I am the attractions!

I understand why you would think twice about MNSSHP, with a little one. Even with my kids being older, I'm still not sure. If I did it, they would have to rest in the afternoon & possibly sleep in the next morning. See, when I am at Disney, I hate to sleep in. I am all about getting up and getting started. If I am not at the park when they open, I feel like I have messed the whole day up. :rotfl2: On the other hand, it does look like a lot of fun. :confused3

As far as eating at the TS places at Disney, it is amazing. I remember the first time that we did this when we did the dining plan for the first time. It was the very best vacation that I can remember. We were totally immersed in Disney 24/7. That spoiled me too. I don't think that I could go back because it's just not the same. We can eat at those places out side of the park anytime.

UPDATE:

I finally found the last place to eat. I was on the fence about one night, and now we will be dining at KONA Cafe. I am real excited. I have read a lot of reviews about it and it sounds great. I showed my DH the menu and he liked what he saw. I also showed him the menu for Le Cellier and he said... uh. I reassured him that it would be good. (Let us pray) :rotfl2: I have to keep him happy so that he will take us back. :lmao:

Well, two months from today we will be in Gatlinburg for a week. :woohoo: The important thing is that we will be two weeks closer to going to Disney! :rotfl2:

Have a GREAT day!!:thumbsup2
