Also, just to note, Disney has made small "adjustments" to their dates even after a release. There's always a possibility of a couple of "pixie dusted" dates being added a few weeks after...it has happened in the past.

I opened POR, and it looked like rack rates. Is this a travel agency, or the actual Disney site? Might be where the chip perspective came from. Thoughts?

Taking it further, when you look at AOA, it gives discounts but then under little mermaid prints what looks like it loosely translates to no discounts. Maybe they just made a mistake with POR since it doesn't have the same disclaimer? I'm pretty sure it looks like a agency site....

I think there is a good chance POR won't be included from the rumors posted, so it's probably good to have a plan B (or C... D... ) but there are so many people hoping for that resort to be included - I really hope it is. It doesn't make logical sense to me for POR to be excluded, and POFQ included, but only Disney really knows how booked the rooms already are. I think the best thing is to try to call early.

You may have stumbled onto something, since this wasn't working before...I didn't think to check each one today.

Interestingly enough, the excluded resorts from free dining also reflect the exclusions I listed over on that thread.

My source never got back with me over the room only exclusions, only the free dining exclusions.

I believe the LM rooms have always been excluded in the past, even when the rest of AOA has has special deals. Those rooms sell quickly.

The day I checked, they had listed Garden View Club rooms at the Poly twice, but didn't list regular Garden View rooms at all. I am hoping that was a typo.

I honestly can't tell by looking if AOA lists rack rates or if that's the 5% off they usually get.

Interesting under LM rooms it shows no promotions, but lists rates for the other suites.

Fingers crossed (hell, toes too!) for RO discount - but I'm not holding my breath for my resort. Booked at Beach Club - which is showing NIL availability of any room type for my dates (1st December - 11th December). And I can't change as we are travelling with others on points....going either way but the discount would be great! Toying with moving to Yacht Club if they have availability as this will leave us close enough to the others we are travelling with.

You do realize that if you already have a reservation, you can have the RO discount applied to your existing reservation. As long as that room category is included in the discount.

Yes, that's what I meant when I looked at AOA, it shows rates for suites, but states no promotion under the LM rooms (just like in the FD section). So that makes me wonder what's up there.

This is helping me stop making myself crazy! I booked back in May with AAA discount at POR and got the room category I wanted. Of course I was hoping for free dining but since we're going Dec 2-10, it looks like that's not to be.

Availability at POR for those dates is now extremely limited--but it looks like it's just one or two nights that are the problem, so I've been playing around with a split stay between POR and CSR to get an additional discount with the upcoming RO promo. However, it looks like it's only going to save me another 5% and I'll have to switch to CSR for the entire stay if POR is excluded.

I just had an epiphany and decided it's not worth it--I'm keeping what I've got! Of course I can still hope for a crop duster to spray some major pixie dust and extend free dining to cover my week between now and December!!

You do realize that if you already have a reservation, you can have the RO discount applied to your existing reservation. As long as that room category is included in the discount.

WOW - that would make my day. I was of the impression that I could only apply it to an existing reservation if that room was available for booking. No matter how much reading (lurking) I do I can't seem to get a handle on the rules

OMG i HATE that automated system. i start the call happy and by the time i get an agent i'm ready to kill. they really need to revamp that.

Ahhh... thanks!! Didn't realize that. Don't recall seeing "Standard View" listed at all, but maybe I missed it -or maybe it isn't included. GV CL was definitely listed twice though.
