 When we got home today DCL was on our machine!!! Changes... stress. more changes.. Final plans are we will leave from work Wed. Got reservations at port orleans resort, complimentary transpotation to port everglades at 11:30 Thursday morning, then we'd return to port Can Sunday and have comp. transpot back to car at port orleans. Cross fingers, send pixie dust, this has gotta work. I NEED THIS VACATION!!:wave2:
Honeychild, have you had to make changes too?

My DD and new DH flew into MCO today from Atlantic City. They are also booked on the Wonder on the 9th. They received a phone call at home with the change to the port. They will be transported from the BCV at 10:15. CM said that the ride to Port Everglades will be 3 1/2 hours. I'm beginning to think that these changes are going to be too much of a problem and they should re-book. Also what is this deal about complimentary transportation? They've already paid for transfers and will not be credited (per the Cm we spoke with). I'm also wondering if this cruise will be well attended. Anyone else share our concerns?

DidDee, I was not helped by the first CM I talkde to at DCL and accepted what she said. I called back and the next CM was great, she said if I have another bad exp. to just go ahead and ask for a supervisor. But... I hope she was right about the comp. trans. from my resort. We only with Disney resort today so we would have the trans. to port everglades and then back to our car.

VERY disappointed that there was no kind of reimbursment or comp. for the inconvience though.

 Kalypso, sorry things worked out the it did, we'll miss ya. Hope things go smoother this time. Will have a drink for you.

I am hoping things work out well too, ginabug - at this point, I think we did the right thing - we just wouldn't have felt right leaving with DBF's mom being moved around from hospital to hospital...

United can't fly us out until 10/4 but I got my CM rate at Port New Orleans in WDW so we'll stay overnight on 10/3 and celebrate my birthday early and fly out at 5:30pm on 10/4.

Have a GREAT time and report back!!!
Cheers,
Bridget

I am SO bummed that we are leaving from Pt. Everglade! Pt. Canveral is right next door to me!

We still have no power from the hurricane, which means that we have to find someone to stay at our house to keep the generator running. If the generator stops, then we'll lose everything in the big freezer. We have big trees down on top of electrical lines in our front yard. They're saying it could take weeks to fix the power lines and our electricity.....:(

bunco, hope all goes well for you. We hate the idea of leaving from port everglades as well. maybe you'll get lights soon, we were on I-10 yesterday and it's wall to wall utility trucks heading down your way. How's the gas situation where you're at?:wave2:

There is VERY little gas here. Where there is gas, there is no power to run the pumps. We filled up before the storm, so I'm glad we did that. I just talked with Disney and will be taking the shuttle from the Orlando Int'l Airport, which leaves at 9:30 compared to 1:00 from PC. No shipboard credits available.... I'm glad that we're stopping at Nassau though!

Hello everyone,

Let me be the first to say we had a beautiful vacation. The skies were clear the weather was nice and the seas were calm.

We did get engaged on our cruise. I had resi's to Palo Thursday night and while we were at dinner the wonderful house keeping decorated the state room with rose pedals and towels that were folded into a heart. So when we got back to the state room she went to the bathroom and I waiting bedside. And so I asked her. (she was kind of expecting it, we've been together for 6 years) But she was excited and wanted reassurance that I was ready to spend the rest of my life with her. And of course I was. So she excepted and I gave her the lovely ring.

Other then that the massage at the Vista Spa was wonderful. Dinner at Palo, Animators Palette, and Parrot Cay was great. The Servers were the best, talk about A class service.

I will give you a website of pictures of the cruise and disney world so you can check it out.

I recommend DCL to anyone, and we will rebook for next year.

talk to you all soon.

Sorry I missed it James!! Congratulations and I'm so glad it went well and you had a great time!!
