Sept 8, 2011 Dream - FE final list complete

So according to recent reports it looks like CC needs to be redredged. It is not looking good for our stop (JMHO). I'm ok with it b/c I have been there 3x before but I feel bad for those who havent. Let's keep praying!

As disappointed as I will be if we don't get to CC, I understood the issues with weather when I booked this time of year. I don't hold Disney responsible at all, but that won't diminish my disappointment.

I am holding out hope that they only told the 8/25 cruisers that they had to re-dredge so that they would not be too upset if the ship could not pull up to the dock. Maybe the 8/28 sailing will fare better and be able to make the stop. Guess we will find out tomorrow.

I decided to call because this is our first cruise and I would really hate to miss Castaway Cay.. (Since this is a Disney cruise, we obviously paid a little more out of pocket) Well, the cruise that's going out this week will visit Castaway Cay, so the person I spoke with read a letter from Disney explaining that Castaway Cay did not receive any significant damage and only minimal damage. He said that they were sending a crew to fix the damage caused from Hurricane Irene this week, so we should be good for next week...

Noooooooooow, all we have to do is pray that Tropical Depression #12 doesn't get in our way!!! :scared1:

I do not plan to give that Tropical Depresssion the time of day it takes to even think about it. I only see palm trees, sand, blue water, ocean breezes, hammocks and Konk Koolers in my immediate future.

The only time we would be able to meet is Saturday after 9pm.. That's the only time we are putting our daughter into child care during the trip.. If it's before hand, we would love to but sorry :(

I don't think Tinkslite was implying that no kids are invited! She was actually saying that it was only adult families who had signed up so far and that her teens were gonna be a bit disappointed that no other kids were signed up for the meet so far. I replied this morning for myself and my DD-6. :flower3:

I did NOT intend to imply that kids were unwelcome!!!!!

Here is what I learned:
Our current "group" included 14 adults, 4 kids (3 teens and a 1st grader). I was told that to block off a venue (like studio D) they need a minimum of 20. They offered a palo seating in a private room for the adults, but that would use up a dinner seating and I didn't wish to do that for my own family, not to mention that I would have needed info I did not have for the whole thing......So, I was offered:

To speak to my concierge team onboard, as they may be able to have a portion of a venue reserved for us......Studio D or other. I plan to leave invites in FEs so keep your eye on your Fish Extenders!!!!

I also plan to be at the casual meet, under the AquaDuck @ the sailaway party!!! My whole team will be wearing light blue donald tees that read, "I'm on a boat!" Our names are on back.....We'll be hard to miss!

I am so sorry for the confusion!!! I admit I read it wrong and maybe because I had a million and one things in my head at the time :sad2: Sorry all!!

We leave early on Wednesday.
We are packed.
I drop the dog off at doggie care on Tues. eve.

I see that this group is on the current B2B cruise, but I am working on my FE gifts and have a question. Does anyone know if Tatum is a girl or a boy?? :confused3 Cute name, but it could go either way!

My niece is named Tatum. I have never heard it used as a boy's name.

Sue and I will fly down on Wednesday as well, pick up a car to drive to the Residence Inn at the port, have a relaxing dinner and then have the rental car company take us to the port Thursday morning.

Looking forward to meeting everyone at the AquaDuck.

I think Sue thinks I am nuts to want to decorate our door but I think after she sees others, she will understand. Frankly, I am being very conservative this time because of her.

2 out of 3 kids off to school. One more and we'll be starting our drive to the port :woohoo::yay::woohoo:
Safe travels to all and we'll see you onboard!

We leave today to drive down from GA to Port Canaveral. Had to send the 2 oldest kids off to school for a half day so that they are counted.

Safe travels to everyone!

Well, I think I am fully packed!! :cool1:

Now I just have to get some sleep for my flight out at 6AM :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a wonderful cruise ~ You all are awesomeness :worship:

Just walked in the door at home :sad2:. Had a great time & thanks for all the fun FE stuff! I'll try to post some pictures to the Facebook site either later today or tomorrow.

I am home, too. :sad1::sad1::sad1:

I hope everyone had an amazing cruise and I pray for the families from the two medical evacuations.

I was on one of the Carnival ships in Nassau with you guys on Friday.

I took some pictures of the Dream sailing in, turning around, and backing in...

Anyone interested in pictures?

Let me know and I can post. I didn't want to clutter your thread if no one is interested, though.

Hope you had an awesome sailing!
