Hello All!! I can't believe we are already 23 days away!! WOOHOO!! I do have a question.. Where do you get these magnets? Do you make them? Buy them!??! I want to get some for our stateroom, but not sure if I need to buy those as well!? Thanks for your feedback :cool1:

I have made mine. I had a ton of them from our last cruise, and I cannot find them, so I will have a small sampling this time, just not enough time at this point to get many done.

There are a lot of creative people over on the "Disigns" Board, I think it is that create all kinds of cool graphics. Some will customize and some just do neat images. You can save the images and then print onto either magnetic cheets or onto photo paper, laminate and then add magnets to the back. It just adds a nice touch to your door and also helps you spot your cabin easily on those long hallways.

I think a meet and greet would be fun and have wondered the same thing, just haven't said anything because I am not good at organizing things like that. Makes it harder when you aren't familiar with the ship to know a good spot to do it.

Any organized folks out there interested in setting this up?

I think a great place to meet so we can actually find each other is Nemo Reef Water Play Area. My daughter and I was on the Dream in January and we both said that it would be a great place so people can find you.

THank you so much!! I was able to view this tonight and really really interesting and fun! :)

My husband's birthday is September 10th.. so we will be cruising.. I've already asked him what he wants for his birthday and of course it's stuff I am not going to have sent to the ship because he is not going to use it (i.e. IPAD, laptop, IPOD) I have NOOOOO clue what else to get him!! :(

Ok we dont know where anything is yet but we would be ok for meeting up x

I guess you are talking about the actual Fish Extender itself? It is probably too late to order one from someone that makes them, unless they have ready made, but you can try e-bay or etsy to see if someone could ship quickly. If you sew or are crafty, you can search these boards and find lots of pics of what they normally look like.

You can always use a smallish tote bag--I have seen pics of doors where I saw folks using them.

And if worse comes to worse, I have a spare one you could use. It is small, only two pockets and was given to me on my last cruise. If you want, I can bring it with me. Since we are doing b2b, I will already be on the ship when you board and I could have it hanging on your Fish when you get there. Again, it isn't big or fancy, but it gets the job done. jlmk if you would like to use it. I am more than glad to share.

Thank you for the offer :) I actually am waiting on my fish extender from the website Etsy. I put my order in last week and I should have it by next week.. I am SUPER excited :) Thank you for all the information you provided :)

We have to start doing the Hurricane dance. This is my friends first cruise and trip to Epcot, etc. I really would like this to be a smooth trip. I do not know why I chose September for a cruise.

Anyway, I am very excited. FE's and extenders are packed. I do have to get some sweet treats but we are going to pick that up when we get to Florida.

We are flying in the day before. We are booked at the Residence Inn because I could use my reward points. I was unable to get use the reward points in December, no rooms available for points. I booked to stay next door for that cruise because it was reasonable as long as you booked on line and paid in advance.

I don't know about you guys, but I am a bit concerned that there may be enough damage to Castaway Cay that we may not make our stop. I sure hope I am wrong, and I know that they get things cleaned up fairly quickly, but I am a bit worried.

We were thinking the same thing today, could they not stop there and would they stop somewhere else instead???? How does it work???

We are trying not to worry about it because what will be ... will be ... if we are lucky enough to stop there then brilliant, if not then will have to book another cruise and try again!!!!

Keep our fingers crossed xxxxx

We may just get a sea day instead or, depending on damage to Nassau, it may all be sea days. Unfortunately, there aren't many choices within the time for the cruise. Dream's too big to dock at Key West :-(

Honestly, I'm fine with missing ports because we've cruised DCL so much, so it's not a huge deal.....however, CC is just soooooo gorgeous and relaxing! I would be a little bummed if I didn't get a chance to take my 6 year old snorkeling in the lagoon after she's been practicing in the pool and has her underwater camera all ready for vacation!

2 weeks from today! :banana::banana::banana:

I am concerned, too. I just looked at the radar and Castaway Cay is getting hit hard. At this point, we can't worry ourselves silly over where we are going. At least we will be on the Dream :cool1:

And I'm glad I am not boarding today....feel bad for them :sad2:

I don't care if it's 3 days at sea, I mostly am looking forward to the ship!!! Although missing castaway cay would be too bad.

I am on concierge level, and if enough families are interested I can ask if they would set up something special for our groups meet and greet (seated together for breakfast or a special time in a lounge .........)
Let me know, by PM, if you are interested, how many in your family and your stateroom # if you know it. If there are more than 1 or 2 interested, then I will call concierge and ask what they can do.........

I have heard of them putting adult meets together in Palo, before dinner seating, but I am sure there is an upcharge for that ( I can ask).

Again, let me know by PM......:)

When we took a seven day for my DD's vow renewal, we were not scheduled to go to Nassau but because the water was too rough to go to Castaway Cay, we were rerouted to Nassau. It turned out to be great because both ships were in port at the same time. They did a horn dual and made everything fantastic.

Tinkslite: Maybe you can post about this over on the FB page?! There's been a lot of talk over there about setting up a meet n greet!! Your idea sounds great! :thumbsup2

So according to recent reports it looks like CC needs to be redredged. It is not looking good for our stop (JMHO). I'm ok with it b/c I have been there 3x before but I feel bad for those who havent. Let's keep praying!

This will be our 8th DCL cruise and if we miss CC, it will be the 1st time :scared1: Got to keep our string going! :goodvibes

So, right now I have a list of 10 adults (no kids at all!!! my teens will be disappointed but i guess they'll all meet @ the vibe/edge) interested in some sort of group meet. If you are interested and haven't PMed me, please do so tonite or in the am, as I plan to use my lunch time to call and start setting something up. Thanks gang!

The only time we would be able to meet is Saturday after 9pm.. That's the only time we are putting our daughter into child care during the trip.. If it's before hand, we would love to but sorry :(
