Hello! This will be my 2nd Disney Cruise, our first with the kids : ) We can't wait to set sail!!

I know this probably sounds crazy and since I am a newbie to the cruise.. I figured I can get away with it

I read and understand all the excursions you can do.. but if we choose not to do any, we can still get off the boat and enjoy the beach right??

You sure can. You can get off in Nassau and do whatever you want and then again at Castaway Cay. You do not have to sign up for any excursions. In fact, for a first cruise, it is probably best just to check it all out and figure out what you want to do next time.

We are still trying to decide if we want to do the Atlantis waterpark or not.
It's quite a bit of money (even if we get the hotel room at the Comfort Suites), and if the All Aboard is at 5pm, it is worth it?

If you are really into the waterpark thing, then probably yes. We did the Comfort Suites deal in 2008, but we were also dealing with bad weather (hurricane) and we didn't do the water park stuff, just the aquarium, walked the grounds, threw some money away at the casino, etc. It is a lot of money, and we will not be doing it again, but again, we have grown children, and the water park aspect is not a draw for us any more. If it is for you, do it once. The grounds are beautiful and we really enjoyed seeing the resort.

That being said, this cruise we will probably be staying on the ship for Nassau day, unless we get off to go to the rum cake factory.

Hi, we are trying to finalize the FE gift exchange list. am trying to make sure that no one gets left out that wishes to participate. Several of us are positing over on the Facebook page, and I am starting a list from that and am also getting in contact with everyone that was on the first page of the Meets Thread and any posts I remember where people expressed interest. I have sent out several PMs to people to confirm participation, but just to make sure I have not missed anyone, I wanted to post here one more time to allow anyone that wants to play to get in on the fun.

Hello everyone! Looks like I have several hours worth of reading to catch up on here. I will work on adding everyone to page 1 tomorrow during down-time at work (yes, I'm being overly optimistic here.)

Did I miss out on any major news or developments? I see y'all were chatty while I was gone. Glad everyone is getting to know each other.

My life has certainly been far from dull. I've worked an average of 60-70 hours per week every week for the past 2 months. I had my first ever staples in my head - yes that would be staples on purpose to patch up the small hole left by the halligan bar (not on purpose) that rapidly came in contact with my head one day at work. DH has been having his own medical misadventures. And my employer (but not my place of employment) will be changing on August 1st - which means lots of extra HR-related paperwork.

So, as you can see - I am sooooo ready for a vacation.
