I just want to say I'm recovering from my 2nd surgery I had in 8 days and now I'm focused on healing and cruising September 2-17, woohoo

1st let me say thank you again for teaching me how to quote multiples in one post as I would hate to spam the thread after recovering 4 days from surgery, lol

Our youngest daughter lives in Bethesda and is doing her graduate work at American University. She was without power for five days. She sent us pictures of this huge tree that fell in front of the house she lives in.

Yikes, she was out a day longer than us. I hope she is ok. Lucky the tree didn't fall in the house or on a car. There were so many reports of those things.

It's been a while since I set up my DVC signature, but I seem to remember an option to use BirdsOfPreyDave's photo bucket account - which is what I did.

Will I be on all 3 cruises? no, only the 9/7 cruise. I'd hate to go back to Weight Watchers and weigh in after 15 days of cruising.

Oh that would be wonderful if I could use their account to make the BLT and SSR version with 2008.

I'm not sure why I read into one of your posts that you had signed up for all three, oops. Somehow my DH lost 5 lbs on the 15 night Panama in 2011 but I gained 3 so I know how you feel!

Christa you got a good supr. that took care of you and gave you lots of good info.

I forgot to mention earlier the beds lift up so you can store your suitcases there. Your room host can help you with that.

Christa, I am so sorry that you had such a disappointing experience. I hope that Disney works it out for you and can make the accommodations that you need. I sailed on the Wonder our 1st cruise and we stayed on Deck 8. Realize now how fortunate we were, I booked through Expedia at the last minute and very close to cruise cutoff and there was a huge difference in price between their price and DCL. We loved the Family Oceanview with veranda, it was very comfortable and plenty of space. DD's wheelchair is very big, bulky and heavy and even when folded takes up lots of space, but it was really never in our way. I also found it to be very quiet, with no noise ever filtering from Deck 9, but we were closer to the spa and also went to the Pirate Party, so can't say what it might have sounded like in the cabin. It was actually fairly deserted on deck 8, even though it appeared the rest of the decks were full and busy. Don't know if that is typical. DD is ambulatory and needs the chair and walker some of the time, but she fatigues quickly and her ability to navigate can be an issue so I understand your concerns, both for safety and comfort. I hope that it works out for you. Margaret

I spent the day working on my FE exchange gifts for the ladies - we have 18 so far on this cruise and I have 53 on my Panama Canal cruise in December. I have red and black paint all over the place but DD and I are having a great time making them. DH even helped a little

Since I can't drive my DH went to Michael's right after work the day I mentioned my project idea. We made a test batch last week and I'm so excited they worked.

Anyone GTY with this cruise and get their room assignments yet?

Last year my GTY was changed 3-4 weeks out in time for the booklet printing. Can't say about this trip though. Good luck

No, only the 9/7 - orignally we planned to do the 9/12 cruise but DH couldn't get off work.

My DH knows Michaels better than I do I think he is there at least once a week for me. Poor guy

My mom and I are on the B2B2B that I've posted about here where we will be sailing September 2 - 17, 2012 so do you think you could make a high res version with the date change? Also, I love the brown treasure map too and would love the date change as well. Plus instead of your names down the side could it say Hope Sparkles?

Some are from other designers on the boards, some are photos from the front of menus from the cruises. The brown treasure map was made by JKPMAC, I just personalized it. I'll be happy to do that for you but you might want to contact the owner to get the best results and let her know you appreciate her efforts.

I've updated the map I made and put it out on Flicker with your dates and three color variations. If you are going to send it to be printed at some place like Vista and still have problems with the size or resolution, send me a PM with your e-mail or phone number and I'll be happy to try and help you. I've done it before for fellow cruisers who couldn't get the images to work when they copied and pasted over. val

Speaking of, just wondering why this cruise is just a pink meeting vs an all out Champagne Girls? I was so bummed I hadn't signed up for the DIS before the 2011 Panama Canal cruise as I heard CG was amazing!

And, I really need to get a notebook out to take notes for my 3 cruises b/c I can't remember when/where is our initial meet. I know that the 9/12 sailing moved the meet to 2:30pm Day 1 from 3:00pm so a bunch of us can try to win a Spa Raffle like a much needed $120 massage since I do $20 PT 1/week for the 2 surgeries I just had. If that is the same time on this one maybe it could be moved too?

I keep trying to pull up the spreadsheet so I can make a prelim list for buying supplies this week courtesy of my DH. In fact he has been waiting an hour for me to help make gifts while I've been on the my 3 cruise threads. Yes - best to rebook on board - even if you transfer the reservation - the 10% off works on most all other prices....

Don't forget that in addition to the 10%, you will also get a OBC, which can be combined with an OBC offer from your TA (if you use a TA and they offer an OBC for booking).

I've updated the images for you, including the US/Canada Flag Mickey Head without the white square. You can use them anyway you want to you certainly do not have to send them to Vista.

Sorry you didn't join us for the champagne girls on the Panama Canal cruise, we did have a lot of fun. I had DCL do a private tasting. We also had a few party games we played, with small gifts for everyone.Then we went to the lobby for pictures and Daisy Duck joined us, so I guess she is a CG now too.
