Sept. 7, 2012 - Magic NYC - Canada

ON the page that you can see that info, click on DAY2 (or whatever day you want to see) and you can see what you have booked that day.

Thank you just got a chance to look it up. If you know where to go it is pretty good!

Getting close for CC Silver members to book their shore excursions/spa/Palo.
Only 93 days until your cruise sets sail!
BFF who is sailing with us is staying up Friday night. :rotfl2:
Other BFF is a first time cruiser so she has 15 days after that but she is in CA so does not have to wait until midnight! Getting very excited! :yay:

My two aunts will be joining us for this cruise! I'm so excited!:banana::cool1::cool1::banana::banana:

It'll be their first cruise in 40 years!

Wow. I'm sure they will find that things have changed a wee bit in that amount of time. ;)

Hi All......I'm still doing the car vs. car service debate. Does anyone know where the nearest parking garage is to the port? I keep going back and forth. What's everyone else doing?

There's a parking garage right across the street from the terminal, I've seen it from our ship when I sailed out of NYC in 2008. But it would probably be cheaper to park at the port - $35/day - plus you don't have to drag your luggage across the busy street.
I think I've seen the close parking garages listed on the big NYC Port thread on the main board.

We're going back and forth about driving part way up and then taking NJTransit from Metropark or taking Amtrak. Both get up to PennStation and then we will take a taxi from there.

Hello,
New to this thread. We're booked on this cruise as well. This is our first Disney cruise. I'll be bringing along my husband, 3yr old and 10mos old. We're coming in from Baaaston.

Hah, yeah! Just a tiny bit!

Signed up for a couple Port Adventures and Palo reservations last night for myself and my mom. Completed online check-in this morning.

This is the first time I've had to pick Port Arrival Time and I was able to pick the first time slot. Hopefully that will still be available in two weeks time when my aunts' check-in time becomes available.

I was really surprised at how much availability is open for Palo Brunch and Dinner! It seemed like only a couple time slots were taken for dinner. Again, hopefully will be able to add my two aunts in two weeks. I'd prefer to have it done now and not have to deal with it on the ship.

That's great you were able to book what you wanted and get the first time slot for port arrival. Fingers crossed for your aunts.

Does anyone know what the shows will be on this trip? I remember seeing that there's a villians show on the magic. My 3yr old would definitely NOT go for that, so thinking we would take advantage of the nursery that night and book Palo for us.....

The Villains show is not scary. We really like it. We've seen it a couple of times and haven't heard any screaming kids or kids running out of their scared.
They will also show Disney Dreams and Twice Charmed. The other 2 nights my guess will be a movie one night and possibly a variety act the other night.

When the first cruise comes back at the end of the week they will be able to tell us the other 2 nights.

Here's the link to DCL's website with info on Villains Tonight: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/magic/entertainment/villains-tonight/

Thanks Jill. I'm thinking more about driving and parking at the port. As long as we get there early and they have spaces available, that's my preferred method. We live in the Poconos and can be there in an hour and a half. If we can drive there, drop off our luggage and go park, it will be very easy for us. I'm leaning towards this option.

We always drive to Port Canaveral and park there when going on cruises. Lately we have done two cruises out of LA and had to rely on car service on both sides. It took more time. I would prefer to just get off the boat and go without having to wait. It's always been easy to do that leaving Port Canaveral. So I'm thinking thats what we will probably do in NYC.

My PIF date is going to be June 20th. I hope there are still some Palo brunches available at that late date. I don't think it's worth standing on line when we get onboard, so if I can't book it online, then we probably won't do it. There may be some dinners available and we may take advantage of that instead. We're Platinum so would would hate to waste a free Palo meal.

Now that the Hawaii cruise is a wonderful memory, I'm ready to focus on this cruise. I'm getting excited and wish that my PIF date gets here quickly so that I can book onboard excursions and Palo.

We are picking a wine tour on one of our excursions and I can only imagine how beautiful it's going to be in Sept.

How is everyone packing? Mostly cool weather during the days and nights? That's what I'm thinking. Not sure we'll be doing any pool, maybe just hot tub.

My daughter is SO skiddish and although I'm sure it's not scary she wants nothing to do with "the bad guys." We took her to Disney on Ice this Apr and Ursula came out ONCE and now she doesn't want to go back to Disney on Ice just because Ursula made an appearance. I just feel like she'd be nervous throughout the whole show, and might not enjoy. Then again, who knows, she might be OK. Was going to take advantage of the fact that she would prob hate it to have a little alone time with the hub.

Why don't you just pay in full now and book your ressies? I PIF just before the 120 days so I could get the Palo ressies we wanted for brunch, don't want to miss out on that Plat. perk that's still available.
