Karen - tell Grandma Lightbulb that the best way to get through chemo is to have a great reward planned for after. For me it was getting to marry Mark. For her it can be the cruise!

DH and I live in Oregon and doing our first Member Cruise. Any one worried about the hurricane season? I know that the cruise may not be delayed but what happens if your flight is delayed or canceled?

Dan love your choice of hotel. We need to book a hotel yet. Give us feed back on where everyone is going to stay. One for WL. Anyone else? Thanks ! :wave2:

We're staying at All Star Music the night before the cruise then 4 nights at Beach Club Villas after the cruise. Can't wait!

There was some talk earlier in the thread about pirate names and costumes. Will Disney let us know about that before time, or is it an assumption? pirate: When we went on a 3 night cruise there wasn't anything like that. Also, does anyone know if there is a more formal night on the member cruise? I know the 7 day cruises have a more formal night than the Wonder.

Airfare: Anyone in Illinois getting awesome airfare? I've been looking but haven't booked anything yet.

Transfers: What are you all using to get to/from Disney if you are staying before and after? Our last cruise we used Art's Transportation and they were wonderful. The cost for Art's is $50.00 cheaper r.t. than Disney transfers. Is there any benefit that the Disney transfer gives you that makes it worth the extra money?

Thanks, and looking forward to meeting you all,
Carrie

Carrie, Try Tran Air. They are new to the Indy area and seem to have taken over many of the ATA lines. We got a great one way fare to Orlando. They haven't yet started in Indy, and I think we got fares that people have not yet discovered.

Bill,

Since I'm the DVC member and have taken care of the cruise and lodging, my sister offered to make arrangements for air travel and renting a car (decided to go that route instead of the town car). She is feeling rather hesitant about ATA too, so I don't know how we'll be going down. We will be flying out of Indy though, since that is where my sister lives. I live in S. IN, near Evansville, but my DD lives in Plainfield, just minutes from the Indy airport. I will probably drive up to her house on Friday and use her "taxi service" to get to the airport on Saturday. We are just getting a studio at VWL, so I'm thinking that we may stay at a moderate on Saturday night so my sis can see another Disney resort. She and her hubby own a timeshare thru RCI, so they always trade into one of the off-site timeshares and have never stayed on property.

Good morning Cruisers!
We sail in 28 weeks!

Happy Sunday everyone! Another week closer to cruising!

We are driving down for this trip. We thought with it being hurricane season it would give us a little more flexability for getting to the cruise or getting home. Our plans our to stay one night before and two nights after the cruise at Boardwalk.

Dang it - I missed the chat again on Friday night. I will make it w/o a doubt sometime soon before we cruise. :confused3
With the yard sale yesterday morning and getting things ready on Friday night, that is my excuse this time. LOL But I did make some $'s to spend on the cruise.....

Good Morning Mary J, Mary, Kay.
Glorious day for as pathetic as it is here. Cloudy and cold. How about you? Mary, what's it like in Chicago? Why are you driving? Man, that kills me, especially with Billy and Kristen, they would drive me nuts. We did that a few years ago and it took us 18 hours. Fortunately , we has a power adapter for the car and could watch a real tv and nintendo 64 also. videos too.
Grammer is awful today, but I'm still getting over my food poisoning..
Bill

Bill,

Sounds like you are on the mend.

Trying to keep up on all that is going on is a full time job :)

Will hit this site much more faithfully after the May Cruise.

28 weeks! I can't believe how fast the time is going!

I may not join the meet at WDW the night before, only because we plan on surprising the kids by just bringing them to the port. They will think we are spending the week at WDW, but Sunday, we are going to put them in the van and tell them we are going to Universal Studios for the day. Then, about an hour later, they will look out the van window and see the BEAUTIFUL Wonder sitting in her dock. They are going to freak out!

Can't wait!

Bill - glad to hear you are on the mend.

We are flying down in June for a week and also flying out to Disneyland in December. We thought with the possibility of bad weather that driving would be a better plan for us. We wouldn't have to worry about cancelled flights etc. Might be a risk with the weather but we are always up for a good road trip.

Morning to you too , Scott. Hope it was tons of fun for you. Must be awful to be back in Jackson. I would love to come out there and check it out once. I think ambassadair has some trips there on occasion, do you know?
I am really irked over the McDonalds thing. It is the one near my house. I have been eating at MdDonlads for years and this really gets to me. I hope the health department does something. This is the fourth time for someone I know(including me). D'that ever happen to you?
Mary, I'm sorry . I just can't imagine driving all that way , especially from the Chicago area. My condolences to your family.
Angela says that my experience with McDonalds is a sign from above, STOP NOW BILL OR ELSE
Bill.

Had a fantastic trip, yest tough being back in Jackson, the cold adn snow etc.

Mickey D's has never been a problem for me, but I know others that have had probs. Lucky only had food Poisioning once. That was in High School and 3/4 of the school got it, bad turkey, to this day Turkey Tetrazinni is not something I can even think about.

Mary,

Thanks for the Sunday Countdown! I always look for it! :sunny:

Scott,

WELCOME BACK! Sharks and all! :goodvibes

Bill,

So glad youi're better... No More Fast Food from that place near your home!!! ;)

We're getting ready for snow tonight! WHERE IS SPRING! :confused3

Hey are all you early birds going to eat breakfast and keep me company when my gang sleeps in? You are becoming family practically.
Bill

WOW this cruise is going to be like old home week for us on the Repo Cruise...

Thanks for the count down, Makes me feel like it is closer than I think.

Hope you folks on the west coast are staying dry, I am just catching up on the news.

Glad to see the weeks are flying!! We are driving down also for the cruise. It will be the safest way to insure I will have the kids home for school. I guess I had better find a hotel soon. We just need Sat and maybe Fri. before the cruise. We are staying on the ship for the 3 day after the member cruise.

Awesome? I don't know. But, it's something we can live with. We're flying Spirit out of O'Hare, direct flight there and back. 4 round trip tickets $786.80. That's $178 each plus taxes & fees.

I continue to watch the Spirit website because I know from experience if the flights go down in price, Spirit will give us a voucher for a future flight. Oh darn, that would mean booking another trip. ;) :rotfl: Wouldn't want that savings to go to waste.
