We were never able to access our reservation. It kept coming up with the phone number was invalid. DH called MS last week and she verified everything on the reservation. She said we shouldn't be able to see our reservation through DCL because we booked through DVC. She didn't have an answer as to why some people have been able to access it.

Gail

I initially COULD view it online, and even printed a copy, but haven't been able to access it yesterday or today.

Don't know why, but I like having the ability to pull it up.

Yea - I understand - somehow seeing the reservation in writing somehow makes it seem more real:cloud9: Of course, being on these boards keeps the excitement level up.

We have a cruise booked in February 2005 (on the Mariner) with 28 other people and once in a while someone mentions it in passing. At least with the DVC cruise I get my excitement fix daily!!!!!!

Gail

call the Disney cruise line and give them your ressie number and name and they can bring up your info. My DW tried to get our res. on line and one day couldn't, so she called the cruise line and they thought it was strange that some of us were able to see them!! They said MS is like a travel agent and their confirmation numbers are different than the cruise lines, so online computers can't recognize the numbers - but the cruise lines operators computers can! They also said to ignore the money owed that showed up, that just meant that MS did not move our points over to the cruiseline yet. So if you need info call Disney Cruise line they have our ressies. I don't have the number handy, I'm sure one of you will have it, or go to the website and the number is there!
Thanks,
Gregg

Mary---You can put us down for London, OHIO (although dd has learned a perfect British accent and tells ppl she is from London---and they assume London, England! She has actually fooled people FROM London, England!!!)
Why yes I have! We are from Broadview Heights actually. That is quite a ways from Columbia Station, but we have gone that way to visit friends and play.
I have a friend in Mt. Sterling which I believe is not far from you. Also had a couple of occasions to travel to London near the "institution", but not "IN the Institution." Went for course work oh so close quite a few years back in the day (at the academy). :p

Also cannot access the online version. We did confirm with DCL that are ressies are in their sys. I saw somethin on their site that indicated you could check your ressies online if you booked online. Is that possibly why some can see and others cannot?

I have two cruises booked through DVC, both booked on the phone with MS. (One is the member cruise and another short one to use up some "reservation" points we received in an add-on.) I was able to view online and print the member cruise info when I looked at it a day or two after booking. When I checked on the second cruise booked through DVC (booked a couple of days later) it did not show up that day, nor have I been able to view it after checking a couple more times in the last couple of weeks. I have tried to look at the Member cruise again online but it has disappeared, too.

I wonder if when DVC transfers the money to DCL the reservation contact phone number is changed to one of theirs instead of ours?? Just trying to figure out what could have happened.........

Photo Gallery Update!

I've added bbowers picture to the gallery. Come on over and meet Beth and her DH Jim.

I've also done some other minor tweaks as request and added some more home towns.

So stop on over and meet your fellow cruisers!

Interesting about the Radisson, did anyonen notice that if you put both Friday & Saturday night on your reservation request online that it will give you availability. If you only put Saturday night, it says it's unavailable. Guess the Holiday weekend is locking out the cruisers for the night before stay!

I also am now unable to retrieve my reservation on the DCL website when I could before. There must have been some kind of glitch they are trying to fix. I did print mine when I could see it because it said transfers included and I thought that was odd or maybe another perk they didn't tell us about. ;) Now that I can't pull it up, they are probably trying to fix the glitch. We have cruised DCL previously using points and were always able to access our reservation on the DCL website, we could even see when DVC made the actual cash transfer to DCL by tracking the reservation online. I hope they give us access again.

We are in a quandary about what to do the night before and how to travel to and from the Port. I hesitate to use the DCL transfers because I would like to be in control of when I arrive on Sunday to the Port. The Port hotels don't seem to be available or they are not offering their cruise transfer specials that they usually have on that particular weekend. Renting a car and using a towncar service seem to cost about the same for 2 people. I just can't decide!!!! We will be coming in late afternoon on Saturday so don't really want to go all the way to Disney property and then make that trek back the next morning, so it's either a hotel at the airport or at the Port, whichever is most economical regarding room rates and transportation. Any suggestions?

Thanks Mary! ;)
You know I JUST read the bottom of the other Web Mark and Mary have. I like the suggestion about the polos. Probably 2 more here.

Sorry I am not able to be of help on where to stay economically.

Any cruisers going to be in the World the first week of December?
That's pretty soon!

That's VERY interesting, considering the excuse I was given was that they have a 'large group' already booked in there for the weekend. Shouldn't have made a difference what day the reservation started.

This happens all the time at race tracks, the local hotels force you to buy out the whole weekend even if you're not staying there that long. Guess the Radisson wants to do the same for the holiday.

We're already comitted to Boardwalk Villas for before and after.

By the by, I'll have a first email out to everyone that has sent me one shortly. And if you havn't, why?

Interesting item I just found on ebay - is someone capitalizing on the upcoming DVC Cruise or what?

item #2282471536

or maybe we're getting a sneak preview of what's to come?

It's from a CM who received the t-shirt for booking DVC cruises. I find it mildly amusing, because they had the same auction up last week starting at $50.00, and have now cut the starting price in half... and still no bidders.

I guess this proves that DVCers WON'T blindly pay any price for an item with the letters "DVC" on it. ;)

Me !!:sunny:

I'm going to be at SSR the first two weeks of December. It is such a good time to be there. Last year I had my emergency appendectomy the day after I arrived, so I am so looking forward to seeing all of the stuff I missed last year.

I'm going to the Jellyrolls meet on the 10th.

Tricia

arminnie and iluvdisney DH and I will be at BWV the 4-11th of Dec.
We are definitely going to the Jellyrolls meet on the 10th.
Not sure what else at this point. I think we still need to get MVMCP tickets and I definitely want to see the Candle Light Processional. We have never done these things before.

Oh, and I am sure a citrus swirl will be definitely on the must do list. :p

We'll also be at SSR from 11-28 to 12-3 maybe we will see you
arminnie!

We're planing some busy days before Vero for a few days of R&R.

We can try to make a plan to be at Disney at that time. Since we're only about 1.5 hrs away and Annual Passholders, we usually are over there about once a month. We would love to meet anyone that comes to Orlando between now and next September. Just let us know.

Amy

That date is a difficult one to live with. However, you can be greatful that having that as your anniversary probably prevented you from being right in the midl of the horrors of lower Manhattan.
In that sense it is a great day for you.

Those of us left behind need to celebrate life and not feel guilty. You can remember those who have gone, without feeling guilty for celebrating and finding joy in the good things of your life.

This si a difficult concept in my house as my DH is in the FDNY. All of those guys are walking around w/ survivors guilt.

Let's all make this member cruise one to remember.

Hi everyone got my confirmation papers today. Check them they had left off my husbands name and put my moms. She went with me in 2002. I called and they fixed it.
