Thought a picture would be worth a thousand words. Here is my light:

And thought two pictures would be worth 2000 words. Here is Grandma Lightbulb's finished scrapbook page....which she decided to put into a shadowbox instead....

The Mickey pirate head, stuffed Mickey, and tin give it a nice 3-D look....

Ooops, here's the 2nd picture. Must have hit something wrong on the last post....

Doesn't she look proud?

That is a super cool scrapbook page!!!

For those who congratulated me on my auction I thank you. I too am amazed and happy with the price the auction brought .I hope the people who bought them enjoy them as much as I will enjoy mine.
For those who have accused me of stealing you really should get your facts straight before you accuse people in a public forum. I did not steal anything that was in that auction nor have I ever stolen anything. I also believe stealing in unacceptable. I received the magnet and cling from DVC. Just as anybody who wanted some could of. I only took what I would use 2 extra one for my NH house and one to go with my husband’s gifts to be sold on ebay. Just because someone else did not see the items on the DVC table is not a reason to call some one else a thief. To me it is just sore grapes and insulting.
I have not done anything wrong by selling my property on ebay. I feel I have done someone else a service by providing a way for them to get the gifts from the cruise that they many not have been able to attend. I know I was very grateful someone was selling some of the things from the 1st member cruise so I could add them to my collection.

Brenda

Ditto on that, Brenda - people should not make accusations about stealing - the decals WERE ON THE DVC TABLE where David was selling the shirts for several days - they kept running out and he kept getting more - of all three decals.

Personal attacks are very much uncalled for - I see it all the TIME ON THIS THREAD by certain individuals.

What people put on E-bay is none of anyone's business. E-BAY IS OUT THERE FOR AUCTIONS OF ANY KIND INCLUDING DVC AND DCL ITEMS

ENOUGH SAID.............................................. :smooth:

I'm just going to say this. NO ONE ever said Brenda stole anything. If everyone goes back and reads ohiominnie said someone STOLE the magnet off her mother in laws door. She never said Brenda stole it. She never said it was stolen and that specific life preserver was on ebay. She made a general statement that was a fact....that life preserver on that stateroom door was stolen and she didn't have one because of it. She probably wasn't aware they were giving them away at tables on the ship. (the person who stole it probably didn't either). She just made a comment, everyone needs to relax a bit.

As for the personal attacks on this thread, they have been very few and far between, not all the time, so that's an exaggeration.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....if you don't like what's said on this thread....don't waste your time reading it. That goes for every thread on the DIS. Don't open thread that you know are going to upset you, it's just a waste of time and a rise in blood pressure.

OK, move along....nothing more to see here....

That is beautiful Karen! I'll have to drop Mary a line and let her know what a good job she did!

I have a couple of the window clings. I asked some DVC rep at the talk and they said they were available to whoever wanted one. So i took a couple there were lots on the table.

Glad to see all th MI contingent made it home. We have been getting a bunch of rain today. I am beat from working Harvest Day Fest and now have to go to a meeting. Have a good evening.

As I understand it, for those of you that I sent postcards to - way back in July - I think you are just now getting them. Can't believe it has taken so long. I got a couple of PM's telling me they were received. So glad they finally reached their destination.

Had we known, you could have picked them up at the CC post office on our cruise. :rotfl2: I guess better later than not at all.

Thank you, Diana. Yes, I did not say Brenda stole anything. Just was a little peeved that MIL's magnet was stolen and clings were turning up missing on the portholes. As if people were entitled to take DCL's decorations. I did not assume that anyone here was stealing. I did NOT know things were being given away on the tables. If I had, I'd have gotten a cling. I did like them, but was unwilling to do as others (read as OTHERS, not anyone here) were doing.

I *did* go to the room steward to ask if I could get a new magnet for MIL. He said room stewards had nothing to do with it, that they were placed by DVC. I *did* go to the DVC desk to see if it could be replaced and was happily given one from behind the desk (not ON the desk) The DVC CM asked me if she was on deck 2. When I told him "no, she's on deck 6" he made a comment about magnet pilfering being a widespread problem. I think every stateroom was ENTITLED to ONE door magnet. I was sticking up for my MIL's rights.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I did not mean to. I know it's none of my business what someone sells on ebay, but if they are selling stolen things, then that will increase the price of the cruise (or WDW) for everyone. I don't like MY vacations to be affected by their poor choices.

Again, sorry.

Oops, I meant Mary (iluvdisney). I haven't seen Mark and Mary's house, but I'm sure it has its fair share of Disney things!!!!

Yes we have a pretty Disney house. It is small but filled with Disney and love.

cgcw said:
Maybe the smoothie machine is Disney!! :cool1:

Nope - just a regular one. If we had seen the Disney one first we might have gotten it. :)

Dan's a control freak! :rotfl:

I would agree!

Ransom? :scared:

Mary, is there ransom to be paid for the return of my box that you and Mark so graciously brought home??

No ransom! How could I charge you guys a ransom after all you did for us? Glad to help a friend.

ohiominnie said:
Ok, I'm a dunce. Exactly what kind of smoothies does a smootie maker make? I have learned Konk Coolers...but are we talking smashed fruity ones or ice creamy/milk shakey ones or like frozen cokey ones?

That's pretty much what we use ours for. I know one group of DIS'ers who brought a bunch of smoothie makers on the ship and had a smoothie party near the adult pool one afternoon. Do you think we should tell Jim?

ohiominnie said:
Remember how we all talked about the fear that our house would burn down while we were on vacation? Well, I was just reading a story to Nick, sitting on the couch, and I looked out our front window. We have a light that is flush with the ?soffit? of our porch (the ceiling of our porch) There have been birds living in it for a couple of years---there is only about a 1/2 in gap in one side, but they squeeze in and make a nest. Well, I looked out and the glass is broken, you can see charred nest, and the remaining glass looks scorched!!!!! YIKES!

I said it on the May thread and I'll say it here. I think the birds are from MI.

ohiominnie said:
Yeah, even though you are the *enemy* I'll always be there for you if you need a hand! :) See, with my lousy memory, I'll forget it was YOU who was from MI! I'm never good at putting names with faces....now add screen names to that and I'm toast. That's one of the reasons that I never cruise without Mark and Mary.....I live for the buttons!! :)

Aw shucks.

ENJOY YOUR TRIP TO HAWAII!!!

Thanks, Georgie. Between getting ready for Hawaii and my pre-op mess for the upcoming surgery and trying to get my gall bladder out before the major surgery (maybe) and watching the grandbaby each day and NOW THAT CRAZY STORM/HURRICANE, Rita, I hope to get out of here on Wednesday. Have been so busy with all this, can't think too well these days. Just taking one day at the time. Not even taking my laptop with me so that will be a big change for me.

Yup, I echo your sentiment here and everyone else's who has commented.

And this, from a woman who SWEARS she's never scrapbooked before!!
