We are going to Disney in Jan and I was worried about my dd third grade teacher would say about her being gone for 1 week. She said she is all for family vacations and just to remind her before we leave. I am so glad.

Glad it's working out for you!

Mary for the mini navigator, does it matter that we are in two rooms?Only one is listed. Thanks !

Who's packed? Who's in the process? And who's dreading it?

Oh, you'll all hate me. I printed the lists out. And I keep looking at them thinking I should be packing. But I look at stuff and say "too early to pack that yet" "that'll be easy to throw in" "nope, not gonna tackle that yet." ;)

We have extremely detailed packing lists ....one for WDW clothes...one for WDW kitchen stuff (our mugs, snacks, whatever) one that is cruise specific...one for the documents we need (driver's license, annual passes, etc)...one for bathroom supplies....one for the "what if bag."

and seriously, it will take us no time to pack. we leave next Friday and I'll bet we don't start packing AT LEAST until Wednesday night, if not Thursday.

The only thing I HAVE done, is I've gone through our "what if bag" to see if any of our drugs ...er, I mean MEDICINES, have expired. if so, dh would get them at work. but seems we're good to go for this trip. we're prepared for everything short of IV fluids.

Besides, due to a weird energy conservation thing we have on our house I can really only do laundry on the weekends, so a lot of what we'd pack is dirty!

I didn't know if you wanted the kids listed in a separate room. I can list it any way you would like. Just let me know.

The challenge this time is packing for the road, then our two nights at Disney, then the cruise, then two more nights at Disney, then the road again!

That is a challenge. We'll have one night at GmaLightbulb's, one at the port, 4 on the cruise and then 8 at Disney. We try to pack so that we only have to schelp in one bag to Grandma's. And, on the cruise, there will probably be suitcases that are left unopened----the stuff that is *WDW specific*

Did anyone else hear the sad news from Florida?

Two people killed by hurricane Katrina.

How sad.

Prayers for all of them.

Stay safe!

Very sad indeed. Prayers going out to all in the path of the storm.

I really like those sandals! I think I may need to dig up that code I received today... :rolleyes1

No. Your right it's safer with our #.I was just wondering if it would help the kids find each other? Thanks.

Am I the only one with sweaty croc feet? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I don't wear mine very often. I don't even know what style I have -- just call me fashion needy -- but they have the strap across the back of them. I've pulled the strap up over the top of the shoes....

I still have sweaty feet. :earseek:

I haven't been able to talk myself into buying crocs yet. All that color and plastic ::shudder::

ACK so many people have packed/decided on clothes already and we haven't even begun to iron yet let alone start to put things in the suitcases!

Downy Wrinkle Release users - so we have some... do you drench the clothes in it? What methods work best? Any way to get a bit of the perfumy odor out as I'm highly sensitve to smelly stuff?

Alert - it's been brought to my attention that someone new on the boards is using a name very similar to my DIS name except they are using all caps - as in ILUVDISNEY - so just be aware that it's not me! :confused3

Isn't that annoying??? I'd had my name for about a year when suddenly there were lots of variations of my screen name out there. I keep telling myself that there are so many people here, that they have to pick something...

I put my shirt on a hanger and hang it in the doorway. I then spray the shirt, but don't drench it. More like a heavy mist. I then pull on the shirt and the wrinkles disappear. I then leave it there until it dries - if I sprayed too much I just blow dry it.

Sorry, can't help with the perfumy smell. I did notice it the first few times I used it. I'm not sure how you would be able to get it out.

I just spritz myself with it. :rotfl: OK, that sounds weird. I find the scent disperses pretty quickly too. I spray with the shirt right on me, but you can probably spray on the hangar, rub the wrinkles out and walk away to let the scent dissolve.

Great--I have a DIS reputation of being a drunk and chatty. Nobody likes a chatty drunk! :rotfl2:

Oh I don't know. I've had some great times memorizing what chatty drunks had to say and reminding them of it in the morning. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have next Tuesday penciled in as my official pack day. Wednesday is last minute shopping day. And Thursday is sit around all day and think about what you forgot to pack day. Our flight leaves Friday at 7am. Looks like I'm in for another busy week.

:sunny: Let's see.....next week, hmmm, I work 1/2 day on Sunday, 11 hours on Monday, off Tues and Wed. On Thursday I am having a Going Away Party for 35 at my house for friends who are going to work for Disney in Disneyland Paris.
