Chocolate – white, milk, or dark? Dark - don't be afraid of the dark!

COME TO THE DARK SIDE.... ;)

actually, now they are saying that dark chocolate is good for you (in moderation) because of the antioxidants

We'll be driving to the port and camping out in the terminal parking lot.

(just kidding)

We've got a hotel near the port. ;)

Are you meeting up with Scuba Jim and getting the kids to haul in wine for you?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Serious....I have probably understated it. Every night she went into the dining room (late seating) and was late. Sat down, ordered her dinner along with Prince Charming's and then they got up, left, spent 30-40 minutes doing pictures on the staircase (while their more than patient server waited for them). Would return about the time when everyone else in the dining room was starting or ending with dessert and then start in with her appetizer. Thank goodness they were on late seating and not the main.

Then after dinner, she would head up to Shutters to spread out ALL HER PICTURES so she could decide which ones to buy.

This went on for 10 days.......no kidding....................

Linda

Proof positive from an old saying my mother used to say...just because you have money doesn't mean you have class!

Hey no one told me ,we were having a DIS sleepover at the port! :rotfl: :rotfl: You better watch people might think you're from a different state! ;)

Tee hee!! :)

Oh, here's the tip of the day....for all the new people...

don't rush to the port. no need. they don't start embarkation until 1:00 and then you embark by height...tallest first...yeah, that's it. don't rush to the port. seriously. take your time. enjoy the journey there. it's all good. you'll get there in due time. relax. don't get to the port early. noon-ish is good. adequate time. don't rush to the port. besides, the CM's aren't quite awake when the terminal first opens, so they are slow and rude and...it's just better to wait until they wake up...

yeah, so don't rush to the port.... :) I'll get there early and will save a place in the line somewhere behind me. can't guarantee where that will be though. :)

She was all "put out" that DCL would leave without her because the shop owners told her we weren't leaving till 7. Yeah......right....

I remember we couldn't walk up and down the stairs between deck 4 and 5 everynight at dinner because she was spread out all over with the photographer with her "gown" for the evening.

Did she mix up Disney with Cunard? (that is that really expensive line isn't it) :confused3

Ok, I just read your post about dinner - that's just unreal! I'm sure you guys could write a book about her!

I heard they moved embarkation until 3:00 PM :rotfl: That should give us plenty of time to board at noon and get our first dibs on the shrimp :teeth:

Well yeah you know...I can't stay hidden forever. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

And I can't believe you all don't want to share the shrimp. Must have been a different group of people here yesterday giving out tips on how to smuggle steaks... :rotfl2:

Well I finally got the older kids off to school. Took dd out today for a new comforter, microwave & shower curtain. Then she rummaged through the basement and took some other things. Nothing like trying to furnish two additional houses - good thing they don't mind that things don't match!

OK, now it's time:

:thewave: 7 Days Until We Leave for Florida :thewave:

Hi all!! :wave2: I finally caught up. Who ever doubted that we'd make 10,000 before we sail? Doesn't look like it's going to be a problem. :cool1:

I took the kids to my mother's assisted living facility today. We've never done a field trip there before. One of my little daycare boys has been curious about why my Mom can't walk and uses a wheelchair. I also told my Mom one of these days I would surprise her and bring the kids. Today was the day. :flower:

The kids loved it. Not only did they get to have a popcorn snack when we got there, they gave them all ice cream before we left (so much for a healthy lunch ;) ). Each of the kids had a chance to sit in my mom's wheelchair (at least a dozen times each). They each managed to use her little grabber thing to pick up a piece of paper without using their hands. A big accomplishment for all of them to master!

As we were leaving, my Mom was going off to exercise class. As we passed the great room, the ladies in there called all of the kids in. There were probably 8 of them all waiting to exercise. They encouraged all the kids to come and and talk with them. They said that was enough "exercise" for them for today. The kids beamed with pride at the attention they received. The ladies beamed with pride and really enjoyed the kids visit. My kids all sang a couple of songs for them and the ladies all joined in. It was fun for all of us.

I'm sorry I haven't done it soon. I think I'll plan on doing it more often. I'm sure my kids would love to make special presents for all of the residents. I know their parents won't mind sharing their projects (you know how many parents get :earseek: ).

That Lisa, giving out our secret tips again. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Notice no one ever said anything about the shrimp yesterday. I really believe that's where the DIS friendships end. :p Every man, woman and child for themselves! :rotfl2:

Cindy it sounds like it was a great day! I used to work with the assisted living. They never have too many visits.

My kids just stuck out their :p s . They yelled hey she can have our shrimp!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm the only seafood eater here.
