Sept 4-8 2005 Wonder S.S. Member Cruise! Part 2

Now I need to get the girls up and go to Kohls! I was planning on just bringing a shovel and rake, because Emma is just into moving the sand around and I'll just leave them there. But that's a good deal, and the kids that come over here are always complaining I don't have "good" sand toys!

If you can't find one, lmk, and I'll send you one. Mine had a couple more left. I was going to do the same thing, but the price was too good to pass up.

Maybe we should rename our thread "Shopping Our Way to the Member Cruise"

UPS was just here!!! I could've hugged him but by the time I got to the door he was 1/2 way to his truck! He did hear me "WHOOP!" though!!

We have so many sand toys here I could easily ship a box down to Castaway Cay and never even miss them. The last thing I need is more -- even if it's to leave them there. I think I'm passing on Kohl's this time. Diana, maybe I should bring you some!

We went to a lunchtime show at Medieval Times. The kids love it there and it's a much better price than the dinner shows. The group rate was $15/child and the kids had pizza, pop and cookies for lunch. I brought applesauce to get some fruit into them. The boys think it's the best thing and look forward to it every summer. My one 3 year old girl always tries to catch a flower from our knight but has never received one. It's kind of sad for her. They are all down for a nap, so I thought I'd check in.

Nothing from the UPS man today in my area.

Lisa, as for shopping our way to the SS Member Cruise, maybe DVC will have some more specials for us. I'm sure someone out there is in the market for an add on!

Did anyone see Unwrapped the other night on the Food Network?

They did a segment on Key Lime Pie and showed a place that makes the original in Key West. It's the Blonde Giraffe and now on our list of stops. All of us agreed, we'll have to try a piece. They have a website if anyone cares to check it out -- www.blondgiraffe.com

Walker wants the little one in the triangle box. I'm sure Gary wants the big on in the bigger box.

Good friends of ours recommended this place to us a few months back and I couldn't remember the name. They loved the "Pie on a Stick" which is covered in chocolate!

Lisa - not that it really matters, but my user name is chipscinderelly instead of chips n cinderelly. I cracked up when I read the list.

Yes, on the phone and if my father ever sees him agani I think he'd better run hard and fast. So I went to WDW anyway with some of my family and friends and during that trip my mom and I stayed at the WL where we spoke to the DVC rep. I was thinking of doing the tour but didn't really have time - although mom did encourage it. After I returned from that trip I researched DVC here on the DIS and made the call to DVC. I decided to put that wedding money to good use and am a proud owner of 200 SSR points with an October use year.

Lucky for me Matt and I became great friends during that winter and the rest is history!

This is the best story I have read. Instead of wasting all that money on a future divorce (because you know it wouldn't have worked ) and wedding, you spent it on a great investment of DVC.
