Thanks Mark, Bummer for us as we are on the starboard (rightside) on well there is Deck 10 and it is pirate night.

We're on that side too, we prefer being on dockside. I can say you have two places, decks 10 and 4. We've viewed it from 10 and it is great. :)

Well, my 11 day is a done-deal! :cool1: I made my final pitch over dinner, his favorite, pasta with meatballs, homemade with lots of love! He says to me, can you call her tonight with the credit card number before you go out? (I'm going to a moms night out tonight) I say, sure honey, I'll call her from the car! :rotfl: Now I can sleep easy and dance!! :dancer:

Mark,
helpful hint (and the one I always use) PORT and LEFT each have 4 letters. Therefore the port side is the left side of the boat/ship....that is, if you're facing forwards. ;)

A little tip for everyone. When on the ship, facing forward...

Left, Port, Red (navigation light)
- All have 4 letters or less

Right, Starboard, Green (navigation light)
- All have 5 letters or more

Front, Bow
- You take a 'bow' forward

Rear, Aft
- Ain't got nothin' :confused3

Well I just talked to him a couple of minutes ago, he's on his way home....and now he's at 99% His words--yea, that is a really good deal, I think maybe we should jump on it.

I kind of stretched the truth a bit. I told him when you called with the quote, you were so nice and were going to hold the room for me. I didn't mention anything about a credit card! :scared1::scared:

:rolleyes1 Credit Card??? What Credit Card??? :rolleyes1

I don't want "nothin" on my rear, aft, but I wish I at least had LESS! ;)

I had heard aft = eat on DCL since Animator's Palette, Parrot Cay, Palo, and Topsiders/Beach Blanket are all aft.

Whoops, was discussing this in the other cruise we're booked to.. but if anyone is curious this is a long standing hobby for me..

Ok, a current picture of my favorite hobby. :)

Pardon the sad grass, it looks better than most of my neighbors. Been far too dry this year.

Inset top left is a Gerbara Canadian Daisy, one of my recent additions and favorites. Inset top middle is what's around all the stepping stones, mossrose. The border is Canna and in the planters on the deck are Datura(Angel's Trumpet), more French Marigold(also in the ring around the birdfeeder) and some Black-eyed Susans that seeded themselves. And if you really want to be bored you could ask about the 10 years it took to get to this. :)

Was going to say there are aphorisms that I could use but don't think anyone would appreciate them.. ;)

If you book the 11 day and on the cruise there are incentives/discounts to book, will you be able to get that discount?

REAR--AFT--It comes AFTER all the rest of the ship.

To add to Nezy's question about the 11-day cruise - are any of you using DVC points?

Love the picture of your garden project. Moss roses are one of my favs as well as the gerbera daisies.
Thanks for sharing!

Yippee!!! I went out for dinner, and come back to hear this GREAT news. Welcome to the 11-night group.

I don't know if this is true, but several have mentioned that there will be NO discounts for this cruise. So, I wouldn't count on it.

As for the points, someone on the 11-night thread has been contacting DVC regarding points. Anyway, basically they said that you will have to wait for the 11-month window, then call DVC to see. MS also said to keep checking the DVC website, as they might come out with the point chart for the 10 & 11 night cruises. Hope that helps.

I keep forgetting which side is starboard... The best answer I can give, is between our own experince and viewing it dock in the KW webcam it's only ever docked the same way as in this pic, with the sunset being on the side of the ship opposite the dock.

Hey Mark!

Thanks for the info. Great picture too! We were on the port side for the PC cruise. I've got to find our which side we snagged for the Member Cruise. I was just so excited to get a room! :rotfl:

Thanks to others for those neat tips on how to remember the basics of the ship. They told us on a ship tour once that the colors on either side of the anchor in the hall way indicated whether you were moving towards the front of back of the ship, but I forget which color (red/blue) was which! :confused3

For all of you on the 11 day 2006 cruise... Congratulations! :Pinkbounc There is a great thread going for that cruise with all kinds of information. You can probably get answers for all your point questions, and general discussion questions. :goodvibes

Looking at Marks picture of the ship in port, it looks like what should be the port side or left side of the ship is actually not on the dock side. So I am confused about KW--is the sunset on the side of the dock? If so wouldn't that be the right or starboard side of the ship?

:confused3

Mark,
Your lawn looks a lot better than ours. We have had a complete watering ban due to the lack of rain.

I'm jealous of everyone booking the 11-day cruise. :sad2: I really wish we could go.

OH I found something we've been looking for (or I have been looking for)!
Seems some lady returned a whole bunch of Mickey Mouse binders to our Office Max - luckily for me I stopped on the way home. I have no idea if it was the woman trying to sell them for $10 each on ebay, but ours are $3.99 each. Does anyone want one? If so I can go tomorrow night - there were several of the yellow, blue and green but no red/pink. The one that matches my notebook - single mickey facing right walking w/blue background - is a bit different in color on the binder as it's more of a grey/green. Post here or send me a PM.

Mark - lawn looks fab!

Oh, Amy, Diana, where are you? :charac2: I have something to tell you.
