Sept. 30, 2006 -- Eastern Magic

David I understand about big boys!! My 11 year old is 5'8" and still growing. They are guessing at least 6'6".

Where has everyone been this weekend not much chatting going on, less then 7 weeks!!!!!!!

Kim,

What are you feeding that boy? 5' 8" at 11? Are you or your husband tall?

I can't believe how quiet the thread has been.

David

My husband is 6'4 and I am 5'6. We have no idea where this came from, he is in a size 12 men shoe. He thinks it is funny that he is bigger hten mom and has a bigger foot then dad.

We need to wake these people up, everyone should be getting excited, but htey are all being to quiet!!!!!!

David: 1 adult and 1 child bracelet for us, please! I think what you have is fine!

Thank you for doing this!

Since I haven't said a whole lot since my knee operation, almost back to normal, We had an oil spill from the Refinery in town that put a lot of spots all over the house cars and carport & cinder block shed. Valero is going to paint everything since it did not clean up. Just before we left for Alaska 7/01 I went to clean the oven and forgot to remove the pans. The house was full of smoke, we were out on our porch and didn't notice anything for almost 2 hours. The Insurance company sent in cleaners and the painters will be next. We decided to redo the whole kitchen since the stove and microware had to be replaced. Good news that all is being done but a nightmare getting out of the way and having no kitchen. The Corian Counter is a small fortune as well as the pergo floor. Didn't realize how expense iceboxes were, WOW I'm impressed. It's going to take three months to get everything done, Oh my.

Getting closer and closer, can't wait! Should be interesting saying that the GF is more of a relax and sunbath type of girl and i am a oh lets do this, lets do that, excursions, golf, climbing...woo hoo. Has anyone booked their palo yet? I think we might do thursday either brunch or dinner.

How are the t-shirts coming??

Ok, back to cooking before the GF gets home. Hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to meet everyone.

Hi everyone! Long time no type! :rotfl: Work has been crazy as ever  always someone suing somebody, but I guess that's just job security for me. And now begins my busy "get ready for school & volunteer" season. DH and I volunteer at DS's school in getting things organized for the first day, work on the magazine drive, volunteer at the pancake breakfast and then work at the annual West Fest (fall carnival). We are required to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours annually (believe me, it's easy with all these fundraisers!). All this will happen by Sept. 23rd! Yikes! So, I'm sure time will be flying for us. Plus, I still need to print my door signs and buy pillowcases to have signed. Where did all the time go? Thank goodness we all decided on a t-shirt theme because I don't think my tie-dyed shirts are making the trip. Like I said, the ears on Mickey's head look like bunny ears! DS's turned out a bit better. I should have listened to him because he actually knew what he was doing. :sad2:

OK, gotta get back to work. Take care everyone -- Oh, and Jack, I think you should keep a low profile until the cruise. What else can happen??? :wave2:

Angela

been super busy...i emailed the tshirt girl on Monday..waiting for her response...

PM..you haven't made Palo!!! We are way past the 90 day mark..and the 75 day mark!!

I have Palo dinner on Wednesday, Brunch on Sunday and tea on Monday!
PERFECT!!!

Shelia..I will give Kate Bailey's message! She starts school tomorrow so it's been hectic!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while... We are starting to get the anticipation feel for this great trip... Starting to get butterflies when thinking about the smell of the Caribbean sea, the sail away party, then the sight of the islands. Last year was great, our first cruise. This year is going to be even more magical! pixiedust:

Is it too late to order the wrist bands? I need two for adults and one for our 9 year-old DD.

See you soon!

Quick question, just got back from vacation. The tank is is a men's large or a women's large? If it's men's sizing than I would like a size Medium tank. Please let me know. I have so much reading to catch up on.

Thanks,

Hi Kim,

I know what you mean about big kids. Patrick was born 10 lbs 12 ozs. I'm almost 5'4", at the young age of 9, Patrick is up to my eyebrows. The doctors told me that on the small side he'll be 6'4" when he grows up, more than likely taller than that. DH's brother is 6'5" and all his children are taller. The tall genes are running wild in my family.

Sorry I have been absent, just been so busy playing on the weekends at the beach, had a small vacation last week.

School now starts on 9/5 for Patrick. During the summer the church and school had a fire. School should have started on 8/30 but the electricity is still not up and running. Chapel and the lunch room will not be up and running at Brockton Christian School for another 2 months. I still have to pick up his uniforms and get him a new backpack and lunch box. I still have not gotten his supplies. What a bad mom I am. ;) Nothing like procrastination!!! :woohoo: Love the stress of it all!!! :rotfl:

Looks like next Saturday is the better of beach days, and we will be going Sunday afternoon to a big Indian PowWow.

I must get back to work now. Talk to you all later.

OK..t-shirt girl can't get kids tanks in lime..she has a "scooter" tee that is a sleeveless t...all others are ok, including the special request
I will have a firm price this week and will pm you the amounts

Okay, so are we wearing the t-shirts Saturday when we board? Do we have DIS meet planned yet that I wasn't paying attention to? I got some cute matching t-shirts for us from disney.com, too. Went and did some major school shopping this past weekend. Tried on a few outfits for me, but am waiting til the last minute! I want to lose 10 more pounds! :goodvibes

We are constantly talking about our cruise and I think everyone is getting sick of it! So busy at work and every weekend we are booked I am sure the time will fly! One of the girls here at work is leaving. Tomorrow is her last day. The new one to take her place started Monday and guess what??? Her and her family are going on a Disney cruise October 14! She had no idea about the DIS Boards!!!???? Of course, I filled her in. I forget about the outside world once I'm on these boards :rotfl2:

My aunt is embroidering DD's name on the white pillowcase and I got the colorful sharpies :bitelip: . I also got her a Tinkerbell beach towel (she is a Tinkerbell FREAK these days) and had her name embroidered on that! Made my door magnets, just have to print them out. Nothing too special about them though. I'm a door magnet virgin!

Betsy: Don't worry about Baylee's message! You all must be busy, busy, busy! Baylee's Godmother is coming to take her school shopping for the day tomorrow. Like she needs any more clothes! :cool1:

Well, signing off, gotta get back to work - KEEP THIS POST GOING - ONLY 43 MORE DAYS BEFORE WE LEAVE!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Sheila, good job!!! Hope the pounds are falling away. I just came back from my workout and decided to increase my Calcium intake for strong bones ;) ...the orange and cream ice cream hit the spot!!! :rotfl2: Really I only had one tablespoon... :rotfl: I'm a working on at least looking fit. When you're pushing over 40ish it's real hard to get those love handles off!!!

Time to put in some laundry and get the work clothes ready for tomorrow.

Besty,

I was checking my previous order I placed with you. The XXL was for my DH, and that was a shirt. The Tank was for me. Would you be able to change the tank to an AL or AM. I need help in my decision of the size, I don't want to be hanging out if you catch my drift. :rolleyes1

Please let me know.

Thanks,
DiDi

DiDi, thanks! Yes, I know what you mean about pushing 40 and the love handles! I will be 40 in 6 months :scared1: I have lost almost 30 pounds so far and yet, that is the toughest part of my body and I can't seem to get rid of it! :furious: Oh, well, I guess she was worth it, right???!!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to meet everyone face to face :woohoo:

Since Kathy & I are 41 and DiDi is Kathy's older sister, I wonder exactly how old she is? :confused3

I'll keep quiet if DiDi behaves and doesn't pick on her DBIL.

Otherwise, the cats out of the bag. :lmao:

David

I really need to get around to designing some door magnets, but I'm having some trouble with inspiration. I think DBF would kill me if I put Tinkerbell on our door (I'm a Tink nut) so I'll probably have to go with a Pirate theme. pirate:

Excited, nervous, impatient...wow, how can a cruise cause so much?! *le sigh* And it's still too far away! Well I'm off to a Washington National's game today with work, but I wanted to check in and say hi! :wave2:

I know what you mean, I'm a Tink fan too, but I don't think I'll do a door magnet with her either. However, I did create one with Cinderella and Prince Charming for our Anniversary door magnet. :lovestruc But, I also did a Pirate one too.

And now, everyone else, that's enough talk about pushing 40! I refuse to acknowledge the fact that we're all adults here. :lmao: :lmao: I truly believe being 39 for a few years is beneficial to your health! :teeth:

Wow Sheila, that is great! I've been losing a little too and some of the clothes I bought earlier this summer are too big now, so waiting til the last minute to buy them is very smart!

Have a great day everyone!!
Angela

Angela - good for you! Problem is, I live in Minnesota and fall is coming. Our summer clothes are almost gone!!! So I'm in a dilemma, but I'm sure I'll figure something out!
