Hi Cindy,

I need to double check... I know it is right near the aft elevator, that much I recall. I don't have my documents nearby...sorry! I only know that we were originally on Deck 1, Cat 9 and I had it changed to Deck 2. The kids loved the larger porthole view, so when one became available I was thrilled. I think we are on the port side, which is the left side I think.

Are you planning any excursions? I have booked a beach excursion in St. John. It seems like a nice combo of snorkle time and beach time, which is good for my kids who may want to try it..but nothing hard core where you leap off a small boat in the middle of the water. Also the stingrays on CC...my kids went to Seaworld a while ago and they just had so much fun watching them there.

Are you making any plans for excursions? I might try one on my own...I am always a little hesitant, but I have read so many wonderful ideas and it seems like it isn't too hard.

Hi Cindy and Kendall!

Welcome to the board!!! I don't have any dd's only a 9yr ds. They have started a chat board of their own. You could have the young ladies join in on the fun.

I've got to run and get cleaned up from the beach. The waves were great!!! Those portugese man of war jellyfish did put a damper on the wave riding later on in the afternoon. Extreme sports with the jellies are not my thing. But I got to see one up close and it was pretty!!! Swimming with the jellies, serious thrill issues I do not have!!!!

The rest of the afternoon went well, dinner out and home to my central a/c.

Well got to get going. Wishing everyone an awesome evening and pleasant dreams.

I better get off real soon, and make myself busy. I don't want to have to clean the cat box.....if I'm busy Bill will do it.

We have not decided on excursions for sure, but I am leaning towards just taking a taxi to the beach. My youngest daughters (5 year old twins) are too young for many of the excursions.

We are in cabins 2135 and 2137.

Good Morning to all,

Another sunny day here in MA. I have to miracle grow the flowers this morning.

I'm a bit challanged, I'm not a craft gal!!! Last year I had help with a door magnetthat had a picture of our family and cruise date. Okay truth to be told here....some nice person made it for me. IHow do I go about making one of them for this year. I don't even know where to start. I would appreciated any input!!!

WAY TO EARLY FOR MY BLOOD!!! I think I am going to try to stay on AZ time so my kids will be awake in the evenings. I think it will be a 4 hour difference in our favor! We will be having our dinner at 5:30 PM on the ship which will actually be about lunch time in AZ! The only day this will backfire on us is the customs ::cop:chec k day when everyone must be up by 7AM .
We are going to MNSSHP the Tuesday after the cruise and I want the kids to easily make it through the night - we will see if it really works that way but it looks good on paper!

Knowing how excited kids can get, we'll see if you stay on AZ time!!!! It's hard for my 9yr to stay on MA time when he gets excited. Instead of the 5:30AM wake up, he gets up at 4AM and tells me he can't sleep!!!!!

Hi Kendall,

So you are going to DW prior to the cruise. I wish I was going, next year I'm heading back to the park. I'm a thrill junkie so going on the Rock and Roll Rollacoster is a must for at 5 rides in a row!!! Tower of terror, at least 5 times in a row!!!! Proceed to eat a chocolate Mickey Mouse ice cream and let me know how you feel!!!! If you are not overcome by the color green, you are okay to move on Animal Kingdom Park to go on the newest ride. Expedition, Everest....please go on this one for me at least 10 times and when I see you on the cruise let me know how you liked it!!!!! If this doesn't make you green yet run over to Mission Space and look all around the cabin while in take off. If they don't carry you off on a strecher, then I'll bring you a special gift from Bean Town!!!!

While you are there, you have to eat in Canada, oh my the food was awesome. The Cheddar Cheese soup was incrediable. The steak melted in your mouth. It was the best place in the park that I had food in.

So I'm bit jealous here!!!!

Well time for another delicous cup of the bean juice.

You are right about Walmart......school stuff is in. I have to get Patrick a new lunch box!!!! Do you think in a couple of weeks they will have the Christmas Stuff up? Just by pass Halloween and into Christmas!!!! Now how many more days until Christmas? Skip those thoughts and replace it with...HOW MANY MORE DAYS TIL THE CRUISE!!!!!!

Good Morning! Thank you all for such a warm welcome!

David - We actually went a year ago, July 23rd on the West Coast. I really thought that we would consider it again in another year or two. Now I have to explain to my son that he isn't really 7 yet and that Mom & Dad just moved up the cruise.

Cindy - I checked and we are neighbors..across the way..but still neighbors! We are 2134. Pretty cool! My dd9 and ds6 are going to start making a door sign....they are really excited. We are probably going to do a taxi/beach thing too.

DiDi - You are a crack up! Thanks for all the adreniline junkie tips! I am all for it...my kids are a little more cautious. I think we are saving the most time for AK in WDW since it appears to be the most unique of the parks for us So.Cal folks. And I did have my dd post on the kids board. She is under my screen name for now. It meant so much to her last time to meet a friend ahead of time...to see a friendly face and go to the lab together..just made everything a bit smoother. And a happy child is much better than a bummed out child.

Anyway..thank for the welcome. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Wow, don't check this thread for a day and everyone has gotten quite chatty!! Seems like everyone is getting TOTALLY excited and is in CRUISE MODE! Me too!! We went boating yesterday and my 3 year old sunscreen didn't work. Go figure So I look like a cooked lobster. Yeouch!!!

Didi, I've been working on my door signs and they aren't overly creative, but they'll do. I can't post any attachments or pictures yet, so if you want to PM me your email I can send you a few samples, that way you can see if you like anything. I'd be more than happy to change them a bit so they aren't exactly alike, especially since I think you are only a few doors down from us, we are in 6542. Howdy neighbor!

Oh, and about that early 5:45 time -- NO WAY!!! This is vacation and DS is just finally starting to sleep in, so I'm going to take advantage of that. Plus, I don't think I could keep up with you. I'm gonna try to use the stairs most of the itme and avoid the elevators.

I see that Dead Man's Chest has record breaking totals for this weekend. Aaaarrr matey!

For excursions, I think we are just going to go to beaches on our own. I haven't decided if we are going to hang out at Great Bay Beach or go to Orient Beach in St. Martin. I'm leaning towards Orient Beach because I want easy snorkeling access and I heard it was a good snorkeling spot - DS and I aren't great swimmers. Plus, DH and DS have to be able to rent jet skis and both those beaches have them. But, just being there will be enough for me. Ahhhhhhh......

Time to head out for the International District street fair. I can't wait to sample all the asian delights!!

Well back to the movie, inquiring minds need to know!!! Was it great, was it better than the first one, what was your favorite part.....okay don't give it away!!!! Just PM me and fill in me in!!!! I will be dragging the family to see it since the first Pirates movie is my all time favorite my second is Mulan and my third is Beauty and the Beast. Ohhhhhh Angela, shame on you girl!!!! How did you know that the special gift I would be bringing would be a lobster. Since you look like lobster now you don't need me to bring one for you. Sooooo everyone, Angela is now dubbed as my offical door magnet maker! Bribery is a wonderful thing not to mention the kissing up. By the way, what were you thinking using 3 year old sun screen? : Did you think it had a self life of 50 years... you know like Pringles chips!!!! Well, we got to the beach around noon today and the waves were 6 to 7 feet high. They were sooooo awesome. Rightous, Rightous, Rightous as Crush would say!!!! Mind you I don't know how to swim, but hey so I have fun riding the waves and possibly dying.


Time to cook some dinner and have a beer with the hubby! I'm hoping it numbs the pain I'm feeling from those crashing waves. Do they have Chiropractors on the ship? After Orient beach I may need one!!

Sheila and those who need an rush at Orient beach. I hear they have major waves and you can rent boogie boards. By the way I did explain to my 9 year old that the European women do go topless, he thought that was really gross. I did not tell him when he got older he might enjoy the view!!! I also told him since we would be riding the waves he would not see many of those topless European gals. Here's hoping!!!

Kendell, I also have a 9 year old daughter, so hopefully they can get play together. We are cruising with my sister-in-law and her family and they have a 10-year old daughter.



Also, nice door sign posted above! Anyone else making signs yet? I am not very creative, but am going to make an attempt.

You are very brave to attempt a door sign. Let's just say, if I attempted the door sign, I probably would hurt myself. Those glue guns can be very dangerous, not to mention those sewing machines. I swear they are out to get me!!!! I tried a project last year and I kept on burning myself with that blasted gun. When I took sewing class in junior high school.......a VERY LONG TIME ago!!!!! I got that blasted machine's needle in my thumb. I wish I could find a smiley face that has a gun which blasts something to hades and back but noooo, instead I'll use the ole smash the computer and visualize that it's a sewing machine.

Stevie, your sign is great too. Hey, I'll have Stevie make one and Angela, I'll have the best decorated door on the ship.
