EVERYBODY! I just made my shore excursions and its not even 75 days yet! :cool1: Try it! Haven't tried Palo ressies or kids reg., but that is next on my list. Maybe they just "give the okay" because its a weekend???!!!

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Okay, I'm back - I registered DD for the club, however no PALO brunch or tea to be found. Only dinner! :confused3 I'll have to keep checking and check on board :guilty: .

You lucky duck!! I tried and couldn't make any reservations - it said to come back at 75 days. :guilty: Oh well, it gives me hope to keep trying! :dance3:

David, nice fish!

ON friday our TA told us that we are booked for late seating dining, we have a DD3 and eating that late would never work does anyone have any suggestions of how I should go about trying to change it. Our TA said she would mark it down to call DCL to make the change but I don't feel real comfortable with actually getting done. I would appreciate any help you can give. Oh, does everyone usually dress for pirate night pirate: ? We are getting so anxious to set sail. pirate:

readytocruisefrompa: I booked early dining and up until a couple weeks ago it was always early dining. However, when I called DCL to request a dining rotation of PAL, there must have been a language barrier, because last week I had late dining. No way was my DD7 going to wait until 8:30 to eat dinner. She'd be starving! So I called my TA and she took care of it and now it is early again. It only took a couple days for it to change.

I have heard of them changing when you get on board too. I'm not a veteran, maybe one of them could help out a little?

Hi Lisa,

The PLA dining puts you in Parrot Cay on Pirate Night, Lumiere's on Formal Night and Animator's Pallette on the Semi-Formal.

Lisa, I would call DCL directly and request to be switched (back?) to early seating. Had you requested that originally? If so, tell them that you requested it specifically because of your 3yo. If they can't do it beforehand, once you board, there is a place (usually in one of the adult clubs) where you can request dining changes. They may be able to do that then. If all else fails, you can feed your DD early in Topsiders or at one of the stands around the pools (my kids LOVE the pizza) and then have a more leisurely, albeit late, dinner...especially if your DD can go to the Oceaneer Club.

After our first cruise, our boys found it more fun to eat with friends in the clubs. Now, we're lucky if they eat with us at all! We require they eat with us on formal night, they sort of have to eat with us on the first night as they haven't met anyone enough to do dinner and ask them (but don't require them) to join us on semi-formal night. What happens mostly is DH and I sit alone at a table for 6 and have a quiet dinner!

David...nice fish! I have always wanted to go deep-sea fishing, but I'm the only one (and I'm the mom!) None of my boys (including DH) are interested!

Hi All,

After being cut out of the creative loop. This is what Chris (DS9) & Kathy (DW) came up with:

sept302006front.jpg
sept302006back.jpg

We as a group (kb1esx & mcentee) will be ordering 10 shirts. If anybody would like to piggy back on our order the cost would drop by over $3.50! I think we need 5 or 6 more shirts to get the cost down to $12.90 per shirt. If we ordered as many as 20 shirts total the cost drops to $11.19 each.

It would take just over 2 weeks to get the shirts so we have some time.

It's too hot outside, (97°F & 53% humidity) so we are dreaming about DCL!

David

I'm trying hard to not sound too stupid here but what would the benefit of dining PLA be, this is our first disney cruise and I'm not up on all of the info I should be I guess. Thanks to everyone for the replies to change the dining time. Lisa

Just wondering who all is planning on getting up at 2 AM (CST) to get their Palo ressies.

I am! I am! Except, since I'm in PST, I only have to stay up until 12:00 midnight - hoo hoo!! :woohoo: Disneymomto1 was able to make ressies already - not sure why, seems like she lucked out somehow...

Cindy, PLA rotation for the Eastern will put you in Lumiere's on formal night and Parrot Cay on pirate night. I think that is what most people seem to want. Hey, I'm a follower, so I requested it too. :teeth:

Time to go boating. :boat: Talk to everyone later.

Angela

all of you worried about late seating, let me tell you...

First: there is ALWAYS food available...the best chicken fingers in the world are right at the Mickey Pool...ALL DAY LONG!!!

2nd: Your little one gets to see the shows at 6pm...not 8pm when they are more tired.

3rd..your day "feels" longer because you aren't rushed to get dressed and eat at 6pm.

just a thought..

I will be up at 2am for ressies (if I make it that long)

I am back from the world series!! Have not had much sleep but have important things to do at 2. :cool1:

The boys and husband are coming home tomorrow. Our team did well this weekend. We got out in the last game last night with 2 games left :sad2:
They all played very hard, we won 3 games and lost in the 4th. :sad2:
Stayed for the championship game today and a team from Baltimore won.(The team we beat the first game) We were glad to see them win though. They were very good.

Have to unpack what I brought home because when the boys return tomorrow have to unpack the camper.

talk to you all soon
Kim

Kim, too bad about the 4th game. But hopefully your boys had fun and enjoyed playing! :thumbsup2

Question :listen: to you all: Did anyone buy the Passporter? :confused3 I was going to, but the longer I wait, the more I don't think I need it. It seems like I know all the information in it from the DIS boards. :rolleyes1 Although the deluxe version looks really nice so I can organize all my papers... :teeth:

I bought the delux version in 2004 and the new refill this year...I took it to the pool yesterday and today...i love to read it and it has really nice pockets for each day

well worth it!

I got the new Passporters. I may have learned a few new things that I didn't already know from this board. I just enjoyed having it to read mainly.

Thanks to one of my twin daughters, I was already up at 2 AM. I was able to get Palo brunch and dinner and the excursion we wanted. :cool1:

Of course, now I am wide awake. :Pinkbounc

I just made my reservations - yes!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:  :Pinkbounc I could only get a Palo dinner (my 1st choice - Wed. night), but will keep checking daily for brunch or just make reservations when we board. I also did excursions (Castaway Cay only) for stingrays and parasailing. :woohoo: DH wants to "go with the flow" for St. Thomas and St. Martin.

I hope everyone else who had to wait got what they wanted too. :teeth:

Whew! Yawn! Time to hit the sack. :cloud9: I'll definitely have sweet dreams. Good night all. :cat:

Angela

No Palo Brunch will keep checking. We are going to the butterfly farm in St Maatren. Everything else we will do on our own. Off to work.
