Hon, I'm telling you this with all sorts of love behind it - - you are overpacking!! BUT, the good thing is that once you get a cruise under your belt, you won't overpack (by as much a margin) for future cruises. To answer your question, we are taking one large suitcase and a garmet bag. However, I guess in theory we may be cheating a bit becuase our large suitcase doesn't have to weigh less than 50 pounds since we are driving.


I have to tell you guys that we've decided *not* to book our 2010 cruise, and, instead, are going to be spending 2 whole weeks at Disney during Christmas! The uber-planner in me is so, so excited! We are actually going to take a couple days and try out Universal too, so that should be something new and fun to do. Anyone else have 2010 Christmas plans at the World?

You'd be surprised how quickly you can get up to 50 lbs. But we have an extra 3 days to pack for since we are going to Florida on Wednesday before the cruise. At least that is how I'm justifying it.

Ugg...the idea of unpacking though. Does not sound fun. It's all these dang princess dresses.



Finishing up cruise magnets today...I hope.

Just had DD's 2nd birthday party yesterday...nice party with family. Picture below of my sweet Grace Sorry if it's too big...I don't know how to make it smaller. Now I'm ready to buckle down and get packed this week. I only have 5 more shifts at work, then I'm off for two weeks! Woohoo!

Wahoo, my cruise magnets are done. My fingers are numb from cutting. But I bought a laminator and magnets and they are currently gracing my metal office cabinet (large one). I think I made too many.

Wow! That sounds awesome!!! We did New Years this year, and Christmas in 2003. It is such an awesome time to go! Except the crowds. lol I was thinking that this year with a full two weeks M-F before and after Christmas w/ kids on break, but too close to the cruise!!! Maybe next year????

We are almost done with our door magnets too. I can't wait to put them up! I just need to find some graphics for "baby's first cruise". I am having a hard time finding a good image.

Scotch laminator at Wal-mart was $24.99. Then paid $10.00 for 50 laminating pouches. Considering that the magnetic paper is $15.00 for a 4 pack at Staples, I'd day I did well. I would have had to buy 4 packs. That's $60. No way Jose. I did not check how much it would have been to have the stuff laminated by Staples/Kinkos. I think it was Spectrum-Turbo (I think) that mentioned the laminator before, and that's when I decided to just buy.

Good for you!! We had a very productive weekend too. All our FE gifts are DONE! WOO-HOO! I'll be doing our magnets this weekend, and today I'm trying to get to the Dollar Store for Ansley's surprise stateroom gift. I'm getting my "to-do" list crossed off very well now that time is running out.

Well, if you decide for next year, we'll have to meet up. I'm totally stoked, bur Randy won't discuss it...much...until after we get back from our cruise (he says "one Disney vacation at a time, Dear"). I already broke the news that we're going to have to start on some autograph pages for the Universal characters since we'll be doing Universal for a couple of days. A new list of "to-dos" already and I haven't even booked the trip.

Oh my, my Jennah woke up last night running a fever...her throat hurts..her stomach is upset, etc... Told her she needs to stay away from EVERYONE..normally when someone in our house gets sick, they lovenly pass it on to everyone else, which normally takes about 2 weeks for it to run its course...thats not good. PRAYING it is just a small little, will be over in a day or two illness.

Mean while I have been able to cross several thigs off of my to do list. I Finished packing for me and the boys yesterday. The girls are 95% packed as well. Took the puppies in for all their shots, gonna tour the kennel today, arranged for our after the cruise transportation, printed out all our boarding stuff we needed for the cruise, got all my FE gifts in, and purchased all the toileties for the trip. 8 down, 50 more to go

I think we're going to miss opening day for Red Wing hockey, so DH isn't so excited about that! Ah well. We have a good reason to be missing it!

I think I am going to start the girls clothes tonight. It takes time packing the individual outfits up into ziplock bags, but is so worth it when on the cruise!

Magnets -Mine are done. I just printed them out on cardstock, cut them out and then placed magnets on the back. I purchased paper, but read about some horror stories of people printing them and the pictures smudging and I thought I would do this route. I then placed them in baggies to keep them grouped together for whatever day they are going on my door.

Like most things, we wait until the last minute to pack. I switched my work schedule, so I'll be off on the 24th and 25th, so we'll probably get into packing mode mid-day on the 24th.

If I've started? Well, I'm done for about 99,9%.
