DW got great news today as she went to DR.'s appt. and he said your clear to go on vaca! Come Oct, 2 years cancer free~!

YEA TO MRS. FOURGONEFISHN

Got all her shots and is ready to go.

Do we all need shots to go on this cruise?? No one told me!!

I just sent out 'invoice' to everyone (except Frankiesmom) that ordered wrstbands. If you didn't get an invoice and think you should have please let me know asap.
I do have a few extras if you have had second thoughts about ordering

Don't know about how things work in the US, but for us it was a case of;

- getting hepatitus A vaccination for St. John/St. Thomas
- getting DTP shot redone. (we combine difteria, tetanus and polio) Also for St. John/St. Thomas
- watch it with the local food for St. John/St. Thomas. (don't know if I translate it properly, but belly tyfoid)
-watch out for musquito bites because of risk of infection with stuff like Dengue for St. John/ St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

Just to add; DCL isn't requiring ANYTHING, Rebecca. Neither are any of the ports, unless you just directly came from infected Yellow Fever countries. (which I'm sure you don't ). It's purely a national advice they hand out based on where one is going, for how long, and fine tuned to personal health and behaviour.

my guess is she had to have them d/t her previous chemo and the fact that it compromises your immune system. so basically if your in good health in general you will be fine.

fire 14 got it right on the head. She had bone marrow transplant and chemo wipes everything out of your system! It takes awhile before u can get the shots again. Then in the begining you can't eat fruit or veggies (fresh) And that she did not like!
Also on another note... mailman came today, went to get the mail saw what was there and NO DOC'S So what did I do I put the mail back in the box and walked away!

I did email her today to ask about rebooking online to take advantage of the deals. Does anyone else know if they'll be doing this or have any advice (worth it or not)? What about booking thru DU? We didn't use them, but a different TA. Did not go thru Disney at all.

And cruise ?: What's the deal with deck chairs by the pools. Can you wake up early and go put towels down or is that a big no no??


Crystal: Great news about Ansley's teacher. Why am I the only one who gets scolded. Oh well. Approval is all that matters. If you want me to email you a copy of the "Journal" I made so Ansley has a little something extra to do while away and may get her some extra brownie points, let me know! Also, gradysmommy got my stuff to me within a week plus a day or two (FE and 2 pillow cases). She has stuff listed on ebay again, so you could just go that route and tell her time is of the essence.

Jacq: Ack on the shots!! So surprising. Never occured to me that someone might need to get them. So worth it I imagine.

Yes is a HUGE no no... Three of the biggest heated discussion on the main board is..1-tipping 2-smoking 3-seat saving..weather that be on a deck chair or in any of the theaters. There are signs all over saying your not supossed to, but in all honesty many folks still do..and most of the folks that I know who have gone on more then one cruise have no problem at all taking the towel off, and if the pool is busy and all the seats are taken..if someone has their stuff..ie a book or such on their seat after 15 or so minutes folks will take the stuff off and usually give it to cruise staff. I'm not saying its right or wrong Just answering your question

UUUGGG one of our twins..the one with OCD and Bi-Polar informed us today that he isn't going. He unpacked the suitcase I had packed for him and BEGGED/SCREAMED for us to take someone else. Even said he would be ok if he stayed home all by him self. I talked to his physiatrist yesterday and she said if we had to she could give us some meds to help him relax and sleep for a few hours on the plane...My fear is when he wakes up he will start SCREAMING and I will have a very hard time calming him down. Typically only me and my DD Jennah can calm him. Sometimes I get so ANGRY and SAD that his Biological Mother chose DRUGS over her unborn children, but thats something I have to deal with in my own mind. Its odd because even though they are identical twins one of them got alot more of the "bad" stuff and the other one got like 50% less. So they are very different. But we love them with all our heart and wouldn't trade them for anything. Sorry for the vent...just needed to tell y'all, feel like you are part of my family. :

I'm sorry Rebecca I just had to chuckle to myself as that sounds like something our oldest would do when he has one of those moments. Hope everything works out and we'll see you on the ship.

Don't rebook online!! The kids free discount should be available for rebooking onboard (was for this year after all). Don't know if they'll let you combine it with the 10% discount for onboard booking, but the extra OBC is of course always nice!

DU, I'm probably not the right person to answer to that one. Do not like them one bit. Tried them out twice, they basically screwd up big time in my book.

I'm planning on rebooking onboard, and keeping the booking in my own hands. Maybe last minute transfer to a TA if the offered OBC is right but as those tend to become more later on, I'm planning on holding out for some time.

Hi All,

Trying to get stuff organized and figured out, as we have had some last minute changes to our trip. I was planning on having a "family" pirate photo shoot but now one of my daughters is unable to join us. I already bought the boys costumes, and don't really want to use them now so I thought I would pass the savings along to anyone who might want them for their little guy.

I have two Disney "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" costumes that are new in package. One is a size 7/8, and the other a 10/12. I paid about $70 for them including shipping. I am willing to give them up for $20/each if anyone wants them.

I would NOT use DU I had nothing but lack of communcation with them. If you want a new TA I can give you ours who has been great and takes email or phone call.

Well I survived the wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Everything was just about perfect. The only thing I know of that got messed up was the pre-recorded music during the candle lighting and when the family was being seated.....the CD played just fine during rehearsal but decided to mess up during the ceremony. Thank goodness our sound man quickly thought to just keep hitting repeat...it was obvious that something was wrong but we all continued on and it turned out great.

My niece from Florida caught the bouquet....kinda planned it that way ....and then during all the craziness of cleaning up my mom ended up accidently giving her Leissa's bouquet thinking it was the one she had caught and now it is in Florida!! Thank goodness we will be seeing them on Sept 25 and will get it back. So now Leissa will be wearing her Bride Mickey Ears and also have her bouquet on the cruise! She will not be hard to miss!!!

Another good thing is that I got my FE in the mail yesterday....found it in the mailbox today. YAY!!! Still no DOCS tho....maybe I will get them Tuesday!

I am very tired and still have a really messy house to clean. Maybe I will feel like cleaning it tomorrow....I am gonna go to bed. Just wanted to let you know that I made it thru the wedding and now I am in cruise mode!!!
