Just read on dis boards, people getting their doc's for 9/17 sailing. That means soon for us...Off to read about Rebecca's suggestion.

Yesterday, my DD turned 2!!! She had a great time blowing candles. Big B-Day celebration along with my DM will be during Labor Day weekend. Margaritas Margaritas!!!

I'm sure you are - I keep seeing your AKL ticker get closer and closer to the date! It's hard to believe that when your ticker gets to 0 for AKL, we'll be a week away from the cruise!!

I just sent another and more than likely my last email to Tiffany about making me a fish extender. If I hear from her I will let you know. I think I am going to start looking for someone else. I really wanted her to make mine because she has done such a great job for me in the past. But the cruise is 4 weeks away and I need to know that I have my FE !!!!

If anyone else hears from her, please let me know. Or if you find someone else, let me know.

Bad news Pam, that is her. If you look at all her auctions, my FE was the same one as the Minnie extender fabric expect my had last pocket was divided into 2 smaller ones (mail/notes). Otherwise, great craftsmanship! Good luck!

Don't even get me started. I'm having a hard time believing it's almost only 3 weeks on the count down. On the other hand; I definately need some relaxation time, so waiting for another 22 days sounds looooooooooong.


Today I went and only 3 times. It tends to vary a bit who delivers DCL/WDW/TA mail here, can be either UPS or DHL. Well, when I see them pulling up in front of my door not once, not twice but three!! times, it is hard not to start being hopefull THIS might be the day. And sure enough, 2 out of those 3 times, they were here for me. But all work related. Dang.

our sweet DD5 broke her wrist last night! she fell face first off her swingset and sustained a buckle fracture to the right wrist! she was in some pain and it is now wrapped and splinted and she's gotta wear a sling. we will see the orthopedist next week and find out if she needs a hard cast and for how long. in the meantime she can't do her tumbling class, can't do soccer, and can't get it wet. i'll be praying real hard that its good enough by cruise time for her to enjoy the water stuff. she loves water so it would kill her to not be able to swim in the pools and on the beach and miss the stingray feeding.

we've had such a rough month or so here that I am more and more needing the peace and tranquility of this vacation. if i can't find it on the ship, maybe i will look for it in the bottom of a hurricane glass. if i could just forget it all for a day..... hope i don't sound disturbed - just stressed. really it wouldn't take more than 1 hurricane glass - i haven't had an alcoholic drink in months. cheap date.

pam: the wedding is so close! so glad you aren't having to worry about the FE anymore! check that off the stress list!

i really have to make a list for cruise prep. there are costumes to buy, dresses to alter, fe's to complete and label, door decorations to print (but our printer just broke so....), and on and on. its ok tho - something positive to focus on. wish me luck!

Ah poor DD.

If she does have to stay in a hard cast, there are great 'sleeves' out there, that can go over the hard cast and are waterproof. Which such she could swim, allthough you WOULD want an adult with her for that because of the added weight to her arm combined with her age. Either the doc or the pharmacy will be able to tell you more.

Also it would be a great souvenir, as she could get it signed by all of the caracters (and CM's). Have them take it off with care, and afterwards she can put it in her room as a true trophy. Not too many of her friends will have such an 'authograph arm, ehm, book'.

If you want any more tips or tricks for hard casts, splints etc; just say so. I'm in those things about 20/26 weeks a year, so got a nice list of how to continue on as if nothing was wrong.


And for all of those other 'let's get in trouble right before/during the cruise'-kids and moms and dads now going ; stop by GLLS (if you can find me, plan on being busy ) I always travel with all kinds of stuff and tricks, including some stuff that can be used to cover up wounds and is waterproof so one can still go swimming, even with stuff like stitches etc. I swim with it all the time. The role I'm bringing along is about 10 meters (30 feet or so?) long. Counting on me needing no more than 3 meters, which leaves about 21 feet that can be used in the case of an unfortunate kiddo that wants to swim.

Yeah, I get myself into trouble at least as many times as all of your kids combined, I confess.
