Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

ivet~~ I have got you down for 5 adult and 1 child wristbands.

No need to send money ahead of time. I will send everyone who has ordered wristbands an "invoice" via PM in the next couple of weeks so that you know your final total. We can settle up when I give you the wristbands.

I am planning on being at the port first thing and camping out on the couches at the far end of the port (close to the Mickey Ears gangway). So, everyone who gets there and checked in before 11:15-11:30 should be able to meet me then.

I haven't completely mapped out the rest of my afternoon. Once, I do I will let everyone know. If I can avoid it, I would prefer not to be doing too much 'business' during the Sail Away Party.

I am by no means wishing away summer. But sheesh, every day that goes by is a day closer to the cruise!!! Yayyyyyy :yay:

It's a darn shame that I took a 2.5 hour nap on such a gorgeous day outside, but it felt terrific. :)

The Poconos (NE Pennsylvania where we live) is all a buzz this weekend. It's the running of the Pennsylvania 500...NASCAR for those of you who have never heard of that race. It basically means there is traffic in every corner of this area. We went up to the track today for Kids Day where they have characters, face painting, junk food and other kid oriented activities. DH goes to the race tomorrow all day. And by all day I mean from 8 AM - 11 PM. Sad part is, he isn't a race fan. Just goes to the race because a bunch of other friends go. And the track is 20 minutes from our house.

Goofieslonglostsis: Your festivals sound like so much fun. I think what I like more is the whole idea of a village. I'm picturing Sound of Music. I want to go to Europe so badly.

Daisy112878, I hope Bailey gets better soon. That sounds horrible. Well wishes for all of you.

Family is in the pool. Should go join them.

I would love to go to the Pocono race sometime. I am a big NASCAR fan and we go to Talladega every year. Have been to Daytona a couple times. We have TriOval Tower seats and they are great!! Hate the climb up but once there you can see the whole track.

:rotfl:Hey FatCat...I dont care what kind of alcohol you bring. Just dont forget the DEEP DISH Chicago pizza. YUMMMMMMMMM OMG I so miss that and NO ONE outside of Chicago really knows how to make the good stuff.

Sonia

I am more of a East Coast New York pizza guy.

I do like Lou Malnati's out here though.

FatCat will be featuring on Deck 9 in the Cigar Section which I am upset they moved but I am sure other people are happy about.

Legends Drew Estate - Copper Label: Drew Estate has entertained the world over with innovative, delicious super-premiums that include infused, gourmet blended and (of course) traditional handmades. Using the rich, hearty tobaccos of Esteli, Nicaragua as a cornerstone for each blend, Drew Estate has set itself a cut above the rest thanks to countless trips around the world for the sole purpose of discovering rare tobaccos, then bringing them back to the blending table where countless man-hours are spent. Their Legends submission was created in this same fashion. A rich Nicaraguan backbone of long-fillers is complemented by Dominican Piloto, then carefully influenced by the subtle nuances of amaretto and hazelnut. A slightly sweet Ecuadorian wrapper glistens in the spotlight, completing the cigar. Creamy throughout, this beautiful handmade delivers ample flavor created to relax the palate as thick, billowing clouds exit the foot with each puff. Medium bodied, with enjoyable hints of pepper and hazelnut.

Second that! :thumbsup2

Goofieslonglostsis: Your festivals sound like so much fun. I think what I like more is the whole idea of a village. I'm picturing Sound of Music. I want to go to Europe so badly.

Grin, sorry to burst the bubble, but nothing much like the Sound of Music. Our hills aren't alive with the sounds of music. Heck, we haven't got any proper hills. :lmao: That said; Europe is very worthwill doing. Try to do a couple of countries if you can though as they can be so very different.

Ended up 'only' taking 3 hours from door refusing to work until it was fixed. Turns out it lost it's memory. Now doesn't that sound familiar. :rolleyes1:upsidedow

:rotfl: Sorry to disappoint you, Bananastwo, but the Netherlands is as flat as it can be, and besides it is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Not really Sound of Music-like, unfortunately.
But Europe is absolutely worth visiting! A lot to see and experience :cool2:

(Sorry Goofieslonglostsis, I don't mean to offend your beautiful village :love2:)

Everyday that I read this thread I get more excited about cruise:cool1::yay:.
Can't wait to meet everyone. Would like to thank everyone who organized everything , it takes alot of work. Sounds like u all will be making our first cruise an excellent one and one to remember.
Should I talk to the CM or somebody else about trying to treat my wife special for the trip? (2 year cancer survivor and our 10 yr anny.) She is also having sugery to remove a screw from a broken hip on the 19th of this month. Man she really is something else.

Hello to everyone!

I am back from a busy weekend too; Mommies night out on Friday night and a family wedding on Saturday (will post pics soon on Facebook). Currently sipping on strawb/banana margarita with whip cream.

Spectrum Turbo, can you please write us down for 2 adult wrist bands. Thanks. I plan to be at the terminal early too, depending how long it takes to return car rental at MCO?

Daisey, how is Bailey? I hope he is getting better soon. My DD started coughing yesterday, not good. That means mommy is getting it too.

Gotcha down for 2 adults "Hooked on Cruises".

It's been quiet around here, everyone have a busy weekend? I cleaned out our guest room, not too exciting.

Have a happy Monday! Only eight more and we will be on our cruise:cool1::cool1:

When does school start for all of you?

Ours starts NEXT MONDAY, 8/10!

I've already bought all the school supplies, and I did a little clothes/shoe shopping this weekend for both of the boys, but man, this summer vacation went really fast!

I am SO worried about telling their schools (one in elementary and one in middle school) that we are taking this trip. What if the school doesn't let them make up their work? What if the absences are unexcused and they turn us in?

I'm probably getting all worked up over nothing, but I am sure dreading talking to the teachers/principals. My kids are going to miss 9 days.

Both are good students, so I don't think they will get behind as long as we're given their work, but it's gonna be quite a chore getting them caught up with whatever they will miss.

Anyone else have school issues?

My kids (and KimmySue's ) are starting week two of school tomorrow! They go to a charter school that has a modified year round calendar. As fast as the summer goes, we love, love, love Fall Break. :yay::yay:

School here start 8/25.

From what I remember of my youth we always started after Labor Day.

We always did, too. Starting the second Monday in August is the norm around here though. I just hope that the schools don't give me a hard time about taking the boys out for the trip.

On a completely different topic, my 15th wedding anniversary is Thursday. We've already discussed that our trip is going to be our gift to each other, but I still wanna do something besides going out to dinner. Maybe a small gift?

Any ideas?

Something is wrong with me.

In past two weeks I have drank

5 beers
2 vodka drinks
42 Green Tea Citrus drinks from Costco :lovestruc

:confused3:confused3

I like that Green Tea
