Hi Ya'll, I am new to this whole discussion board thing

:welcome: Glad you found us... :upsidedow WOW a cruise every six months. That is a dream of mine. I remember we went on RCCL 6 years ago and there was this OLDER gentleman who was on his 178th cruise.. And for the past 3 years since his wife passed away he has done back to back to back to back to back....etc...and has never gotten off the ship Can't even imagine how much that would cost. :scared1: :rotfl:

Hi everyone. Sorry I havent posted for along time, life got in the way !!.

Even though we have paid for our cruise, it is now not 100% sure whether we can do it. Will know more in the next few weeks ( before cancellation day).

Sorry to mess anyone around, but could you please take us off the fish extender list, as we have realised with only a very low baggage allowance, we will not have the space to bring gifts along.

Will post more when I know what is happening.
I hope everyone is getting excited now, not long to go.

Hello Everyone:

My husband, DD1 (4 yrs), DD2 (10 mths) and myself are curising on this date as well.

We are first time cruisers so I having been reading a lot of the threads for tips etc.

Ok...xxxxxxxxx my fingers..Yesterday oil closed at $70.47 a barrel... PLEASE OH PLEASE drop by 48 cents today...I do not want to loose $300 over a few cents... I know there were a few of us that paid the surcharge...Here is hoping for the best.

I'm right there with you! It sure would be nice to have a few hundred extra dollars? I'm hoping that by some miracle, those oil prices drop!:sad2:

:goodvibesI just booked our hotel for the two day stay after the cruise. I got an :banana:AWESOME deal at the Nickelodeon Hotel...a 2 bedroom suite with a sofa bed..for the 7 of us.. without tax and the pirate:stupid tourist tax for $114 per night:cheer2:. My kids don't know and they will be :yay::yay: JUMPING FOR JOY. We took our girls on our first Disney cruise, but our boys have never been. Can't wait..gives us something to look forward to after the cruise letdown.:woohoo:

Wow! What a great deal!:thumbsup2 I might check that out for our two days before. We are booked at the Dolphin, but I'd like to see what kind of rates they are offering. Can I ask where you got that great price?:goodvibes

What a bummer...after following oil prices all afternoon, it looks like we're out of luck! :guilty:

Holy cow that's an awesome rate. I don't even think that you can get the Pop for that price, and you'll be in a 2 bedroom suite to boot. :cloud9:Congrats!!! :woohoo:

I'm still waiting for my Bay Lake Tower waitlist to come through. Because our friends canceled their cruise last week, we were left "holding the bag" on a 2 bedroom villa at BLT, which, obviously, would be a waste of points for just DH, DD and me. So, we booked a studio and put ourselves on a waitlist for BLT. Since we just bought into DVC in March, we were soooooo looking forward to staying at BLT (our "home"). Now, even though I'm sure that OKW is a great resort, I will be so bummed if our waitlist doesn't come through and we don't get to stay at BLT. Still, there's time and I'm hopeful that we'll get in. :cheer2:

With Travelocity. I just checked and they are still offering the "good buy" deal. I hope you can get a super deal with them as well. :woohoo:

ok...i'm back after a long trip through a hectic section of life :headache: the economy has finally started to hit the healthcare field and they are trying to make some changes at work that would result in a large pay cut and scheduling changes that could affect our days off :headache::furious: we have been in negotiations with our managers for weeks. now we just have to see if it all works out :worried:

DD5 (jenna) had her ct scan last week and they found no more cancer!!:yay::banana::dance3::banana::yay::cheer2::cool1::woohoo:
can you tell we are excited?

should be able to pay the cruise off next week so i can do that happy dance along with all of you guys too. we have told the kids that the cruise is a go so they are allowed to start getting excited and talking about what they want to do.

:welcome: to all those who have recently joined us. We have a good group and there seems to be a lot of us so we can't wait to meet everyone.party:

who's going to MNSSHP the night before we depart? anyone been to it before that can tell me if it would be worth trying to get down there early enough to do that? and Jenna wants to do the stingray feeding on CC. is anyone else thinking of letting their 5 year old do that - maybe we could reserve the same time?

sorry so many ???s i will try to be more present now that we are through school and getting closer.:hourglass

First of all; welcome to all the newbees! :welcome:

That is such a great surprise! :thumbsup2

Crystal, fingers crossed the waitlist will come through! Have you guys got any advantage on that list above those that don't have BLT as their home resort or is that only the perk of being able to book earlier? OKW is nice, but a first DVC-trip 'should' be to home, shouldn't it? Worst case scenario, you guys are always welcome to check out some animals over at ours at AKL. Also without worst case scenario off course, so waitlist fairies; come through!

For those participating in the Secret Mickey; I'm sending out the information you guys will need in a couple of minutes. Haven't found anything in your PM-box by tonight? Please let me know!!

Information about SM has been sent!

I know, one major part of information is still missing; the unveiling of who is whoms SM. Seeing as this will be my first cruise, I'm a bit lost as to where it would be smart to arrange such a gathering. Counting the kids, there are 19 of us. And somehow I think that eventhough I'll have a very large balcony, it'll be a bit too small for all of us to be able to breath. ;) So any good suggestions about a public place not too busy for this; very much appreciated!

:welcome:!!! We have DDs close in age! My DD1 is 4 and my DD2 will be 1yrs old on the cruise! Are you going to participate in the cruise meet up? I would love our girls to meet each other in the beginning of the cruise so they will know another child in the clubs. What deck are you staying on? We are on Deck 7 (7600 and 7601). Hope to talk to you soon!:goodvibes
