If we are Castaway Club members, do we get lanyards at check-in? I thought that I had read this somewhere. :confused3

:thumbsup2 Yes they will....the lanyards we are looking at ordering are special made for our group, with our groups name on them. Makes it easier to see other dis members on board. Right now we don't have enough to make the minimum so will wait till we have more who want them, or till we all decide we don't need them. :rotfl:

Crystal, if you haven't yet, insure my trip is a good place for travel insurance. It is cheaper than Disney's with better coverage. We have used it before, although I will say, we have never needed to "file a claim" with it. Check it out online with a .com after it if you want. ;)

Thank you for the recommendation for the trip insurance, Hon! I'll price it out today. :thumbsup2

Cast member was very good about it and gave us the lanyard as well as notified staff to give us our goodies onboard,

I'm very excited about my Castaway Club goodies as well as any potential DVC goodies. Can't wait! :woohoo:

Our cruise is paid in FULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excited doesn't start to explain how I feel.

Good for you!!! :cheer2:

I emailed our TA this morning and asked to add trip insurance and will pay ours off as soon as it's added. Since I'm waiting to the last minute (naturally), I hope they get moving on adding the insurance so I can pay in full by the 90-day window. This is why waiting until the last minute is a bad thing - LOL.

Good Morning everyone!! Congrats to those who have paid off their cruise, we are down to only owing $706....out of $7000 that is pretty cool :thumbsup2 and the $706 will be paid by next Thursday..and even cooler feeling :cloud9: We are still struggling with trying to find any excursions to do. I have gone online and to cruise critic but can't really find anything that all of us would want or would be able to do. :confused3 Have any of you really firmed up your excursion plans :upsidedow? I have a question, might post on the main boards if y'all don't know, but if our twins don't want to go on shore one or both "Mexico" days can they stay in the clubs???? And what would the club do if they needed to get a hold of us? Do other families leave their kids on the ship? Will they feed our boys? Are all of you doing Palo? We will sign up for the brunch, not sure about dinner....haven't enjoyed it the last few times :rolleyes1 yes most folks think we are odd :rotfl: but we dont' find Palo to be THAT awesome as most folks do. Well, I have talked your ears off. Enjoy your Friday and your weekend. Big group :grouphug:

90 day window should be around June 28 or so.....
90 Day window is June 28 th at 12:01 EST.
As for plans we plan to do very little:
Parasailing , biking, floating, and snoking at CC.
Palo Brunch
Under 2 flags tour on St. Martian
And possibly gallery tour on ship as Jodi is a cook.

Thats it unless you count vegging in Spa for me.

Have any of you really firmed up your excursion plans :upsidedow? We are only doing snorkeling and maybe parasailing on CC. Nothing in St Maarten or St Thomas except maybe the butterfly farm?

And what would the club do if they needed to get a hold of us? Do other families leave their kids on the ship? Will they feed our boys? We left our DD6 on the ship (Carnival) last summer while we did Grand Cayman for about 4 hours. She was fine. She has already informed us that she wants to stay in the club the ENTIRE time we are on the ship. :goodvibes I'm not sure about how they would contact you in an emergency though. We also have a DD2 (will be 2 at cruise time) but we won't leave her on the ship. Except for a couple of hours while we are on CC, we think.

We are doing Palo on Monday night. We would like to do brunch, but I'm not sure yet. We'll see on that one.

You'll enjoy the Under the 2 Flags Tour, I did this a couple of years ago. We saw where they made the movie Speed 2 Cruise Control starring Sandra Bullock. The galley is nice and I've done this on every one of my cruises(this will be my 6th Disney cruise). The only bad part is if you get a large group it's hard to hear the guide.

I hate to say it, but I don't think that we're going to end up doing any excursions. I was going to surprise DH with the golfing excursion and I've tried to feel him out about it, but he doesn't really seem that into it. BUT, that could just be because of the price...I don't know what to do. We may do one of the island tours, but I'm just not sure. We will bring DD with us during whatever excusion we do, but I just hate to commit to something that she may not be interested in. The only things that we are definitely planning on are the jetskis at Castaway Cay, the Palo brunch and dinner. When we bought into DVC, our Guide had just returned from a 7-night cruise and said that, although the jetski tour at Castaway Cay is supposed to be limited to an hour, that his experience was that he spent a *lot* of time out there and almost went all the way around the island. He also said that he got to get right up close and personal with the Flying Dutchman and said that was very cool. I hope our experience is similar, although I'll be very happy with just an hour. We will also try scuba diving at Castaway Cay too. For Castaway Cay we will be leaving DD in the Club but I understand that the pagers work everywhere on Castaway Cay so I'm not too worried about that.

Time is really starting to fly by...I haven't even started on my FE gifts yet and I know DH and I need to get on it. We also need to actually make our FE itself and, since sewing is not my forte, the result should be very "interesting" to say the least.

I'm also a bit bummed. Our friends were supposed to be going on this cruise with us (we have had this booked since February, 2008) and I'm almost positive that they are going to have to cancel. :guilty: I'm really sad - -we were all supposed to be staying at Bay Lake Towers and going to MNSSHP on the 25th together (their first Disney experience) so it's just a huge letdown for them and their kids and, of course, for us. Nothing is 100% sure yet, but I see the writing on the wall. :sad1:

Ah, I can see how that would be such a bummer for you guys.

Excursions? Nothing much, yet. We're sure about trying to snag us a Palo brunch online, but with all of you having the oppertunity to do so at 90 days out, no way I'm holding my breath to find a spot at 75 days out. :confused3 Can't just one of you hide me in a pocket of your clothes when going to the brunch? :worship::lmao:

Don't worry :lovestruc if what they say is true...they do not release all of the reservations at the same time...so their are plenty left at the 75 day mark..but even if you don't get one reserved online, just remember right after you board, just to head down to Beat Street [?] and stand in line and make them their. If for some odd reason they are still full, just request to be put on the waiting list. :thumbsup2 But I am sure you will have no problems :goodvibes
