As long as I got my "girls" to chat with, I think I'll survive. I don't know what I'm going to do after our cruise is over and our thread gets closed...hopefully we'll keep our Facebook page going strong and keep reliving the memories!!

We will keep it alive. We need to. I suspect mass-depression if we don't. I'm already starting to sweat it; almost time for the trip yet I haven't got anything booked yet for a trip after that. I need the support of keeping our threads alive.

Crystal: What an awesome birthday. The casino dealer sounds like so much fun.

My favorite quote I've read on the DIS boards so far is: "If you're not on a Disney cruise, you should be planning a Disney cruise."

So hopefully the plans that will ensue post cruise will keep us chatting away.

Managed to get a ressie for late night dinner at Palo on Thursday at 9 PM. DH doesn't want to miss a dinner nite with the kids since this is all of our first times on a Disney cruise. So he agreed to do late night Palo following dinner with the kids. The key is to try not to pig out and dinner with them and end up with 2 dinners that night. I want to enjoy the food AND WINE at Palo.

Fire 14...any idea how we might go about changing that ressie. I can keep trying to get my own slot for a few weeks. It hasn't even become an option for me at this point. No rush. Just curious if it's something we'd have to call to do.

Actually only the "play" stuff is an extra charge. Beach chairs, umbrellas, hamocks, BBQ LUNCH, sodas, ice cream, and family/kids beach are all FREE . Remember you can bring your own snorkle equipement,, or sand toys and use them for free as well. We bought sand pails/shovels/sifter etc at the dollar store and then left them in the cabin with a nice note so the next family could enjoy them...and it only cost you a few dollars. On our last cruise we saw several families that brought the blow up lounger/raft and used them all day. And lastly keep in mind all the stuff that CC charges for each of the other ports offer them at a cheaper price and usually for a longer usuage time, which is a better value for your dollar .

Thanks for the info Rebecca. Will def try to bring some sand toys and a float. I'm sending my FEs in the mail to my MIL who lives near Pt. Canaveral so that I don't have to pack the stuff. I'll throw some sand toys and maybe a float in with the package.

DH and I had to cancel our cruise on saturday.
We left it right up to the last possible moment, just in case anything came up but sadly it didnt.
Carl is a self employed builder and work hasnt been to good, but he has just lost a big contract as well.

FE -I was going to go with Gradysmommy to do ours, but I wanted to get it done sooner than later since I need to get planning DDs first birthday (two days before our cruise!), so I ended up making mine last night. It took about two hours, but I am happy with it. I just need to find minnie mouse for my pocket and we will be all done. Question for you all- did you personalize yours with your last name on the FE? I did and DH was not too thrilled with the idea of our last name on it. I did it so hopefully it will prevent it from "walking away".

Question for you all- did you personalize yours with your last name on the FE? I did and DH was not too thrilled with the idea of our last name on it. I did it so hopefully it will prevent it from "walking away".

We will be putting our first names on each of the "pockets." My feeling about them "walking away" is that if someone wants it bad enough to steal it, then they obviously need it more than I do. I just can't imagine someone doing that, but I'm sure it happens all the time. Here's hoping that Disney Magic is well and alive on the...um...Disney Magic!

I have heard of FE dissappearing from people in other DIS groups that I have been with. Most everyone takes a ziptie to secure it on the "fish"....You can see on my picture below how it is gathered right under the fish, that is where the ziptie is secured around the ribbon/rope of my FE. You will need a pair of scissors to cut it off. These can be packed in your checked luggage with no problem. If I can come up with some extra, I will bring them and pass them out.

Do you know what kind of dinning rotation do we have for 1st seating? We are booked for Palo Dinner, mom and I for Day 4, St Marteen @ 8pm. Good choice? It kind of works for us due to fact of having a late excursion , ends @ 5:15pm. We might skip dinner at restaurant and go to buffet instead before Palo's. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this thread, as we just booked this cruise on FRIDAY!

This is the fourth time we've changed our minds on what cruise we wanted to take. We were originally scheduled to do the 10/10/09, then the TransAtlantic, then the 11/7/09, and now this one.

We are sticking with this date though, b/c we are PAID IN FULL!

We changed to this date specificially b/c we wanted to go to WDW for a few days before the cruise and take advantage of free dining...so, this was the best date for us!

We live in Tennessee, and this will be our third Disney cruise.

Drammomine you said? Hmm, interesting experience that'll be. I'll prepare friend for it. Hopefully I should be fine though. I was 'this close' to being born on a boat and sailed from a very early age -fishingboats combined with a lot of heavy weather- so hopefully my body is still used to it. And if not, oh well. Guess that way I can eat even more without having to worry about my pants fitting.

We have had Aft cabins on both our 4 day cruises and I never felt sick more like boat roacked me to sleep. Only time I felt Tippy was on deck 3 front.
